    beautiful colour grading; to the point; less than 5 minutes (I see most of your videos are!); another DAWless practitioner; subbed! Keep it up :)

    I have one too. It’s really versatile.
    I have used mine for years, and it still works great.

    The problem I'm having with these kinds of devices is the limitations in terms of inputs. Because whenever I record something, it's only afterwards that I notice that the bass is too loud, some instrument too far on the left or right of the sound stage or whatever else can go wrong. And as an absolute non pro / hobby user, it's really helpful to have 8 input channels I can record separately, because this way, the recording can get fixed retrospectively.
    Who knows though, maybe one day, I'll get good enough so this won't be necessary, anymore. :)

    I have an H2n for dialog and meetings. Never thought to use it your way. In fact I got a Zoom F3 for music creation. Super tiny.

    Zoom make really good stuff...I use the H1n to record my dawless stuff and, mate, it's just perfect!

      They really do! I love the H1n- it's got an overdub feature, if I'm not mistaken. Also it can be more easily mounted to a camera as a shotgun mic!

    I've had this recorder for interviews for a long time, but never did much with it for music. I'd love a deeper dive into how to get the most out of it. I don't know much about how to record live music.

      Thanks Alex!! I'll try and do more on the built-in compressor and limiter functions! They are absolutely amazing for recording live music!

    There's only one line in port on H2N. Does this mean that you mix on OP-1 and plugin to the mic?

    What’s best for recording audio directly into iPhone 13 ? That’s my only camera source

    • @ShinesTV
      @ShinesTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Willie! I’ve always gone with either a USB input device like the Roland Go Mixer Pro, or recorded to a separate device like the Zoom H2n and then synced in post. I’ve tried a couple iPhone TRS mic adapters but have gotten very mixed results where it’ll show my line-in for a second and then default to the built-in mic.

    So i can connect this right to the op1 and get good sound? I've been looking at recorders and all aren't built the same. I'm worried about the op1's low sound . Was considering the Roland field recorder or the reloop tape one

    • @ShinesTV
      @ShinesTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Sauce Supreme! Yes, you can connect the OP-1 to this and crank up the gain and built-in compressor and get some great results!
      Also, you can reverse this and use the H2n has a mic input for the OP-1 for vocals or other sounds you want to sample into it!

      lolll oh no! But seriously, this thing is amazing- Back in 2019 I tried so hard to get my synths hooked up to my smartphone to record stuff there, but none of the adapters/cables worked. Now it's so easy to just plug in and record jams at a moment's notice! Thanks for the support Emilz!
