The trucks engine and drive train are Superior to any of GM's gas burners in every aspect of the game! I hate lugging hills with a load, this 3.0 don't lug! In fact you can feel the power being transferred to the road and it is impressive! My wife knows nothing about trucks and when she rode in it the first time she immediately knew it was better than the other gas burner trucks I had owned, she even said she wanted a Yukon with the 3.0 Duramax! I have the 2022 Chrysler plug in. 40,000 mi thus far. No problems. I am about 60% gas and 40% electric usage. Which translates to 40% less gas engine usage which means less wear on it. If you cant use the plug in as intended then its advantage is lessened substantially. But the plug in advantage is awesome because the Chrysler operates as a real EV under full battery usage and very smooth and economical. So good in fact that I got the Ford Lightning , after doing lots of homework. Then it becomes a regular hybrid when battery mileage returns to zero, which is fine but not as good mileage as the Sienna as a regular hybrid . So its the use case scenario that matters. Electric mileage is affected by weather. Less than advertised when its cold, more than advertised when its warm. So it averages out in the end. I have never felt under powered from an acceleration point of view, which is common complaint about Sienna. The seats are removeable which is a huge deal for me. Do your homework before purchasing anything. Because I can plug in, and do it regularly, the Chrysler has worked out excellent. I would buy it again over the Sienna without hesitation. I have owned Sienna nonhybrid also in the past. Personally I like the look of the Sienna more, but functionality for me wins in the end and Pacifica is nice looking too. I wouldnt say Sienna is on par with the Toyota reliability reputation.....its not a Tacoma or Corolla. Had some issues so .....

No dealer markup but we paid closer to $120K out the door with added options and features. We have loved it so far. It may not be as “cool” or flashy as BMW, Mercedes, Range Rover etc., but I can tell you that as a long-term ownership proposition, owning this LX600 will be a 15 or 20 year ownership affair, while folks will be getting rid of their Range Rover or X7 or Benz GLS as soon as they come off of warranty. And I’m a 30 year Benz guy (and have owned a G-wagen for the past 10+ years). I have to argue with you about fuel economy. I have a 2021 Silverado RST, with 5.3 . I drive minimum of 100 miles round trip daily(I’m an electrician). As long as I keep under 75-78 I’m getting 23 mpg. I also own 2024 1500 Denali with 3.0 duramax, with perfect cool temps, not running ac I’m averaging 24-27 mpg. But my 5.3 takes 87 octane, and diesel is $1.50 more per gallon. So overall the 5.3 is better motor, also my 5.3 has better tow capacity. This diesel isn’t made for towing like the 6.6 duramax it’s made for fuel mileage. It sucks a gal of def towing per 100 miles lol, plus transmissions run too hot towing. Don’t believe these TH-camr’s. There’s a reason diesel is a $10 to $12k add on 3/4 ton trucks but it’s only $800 add on the half tons. Look at your sticker, 3.0 is only $800 more than 5.3

I never had overheating issues (multiple mountain passes between Idaho and the Oregon coast and frequently in the triple digits temps or near) and after over 1,000 miles for that trip I maybe used 3-3.5 gals of DEF. Most of the DEF consumption took place while going up steep grades. Far more than when I’m not towing, but not the end of the world. Flat towing I haven’t seen it use much more DEF. I am very happy with this 3.0....except for one thing, who decided that it was a good idea to make it so the driver has to move the shift lever FORWARD for reverse?? It's electronic for crying out loud! They could have made it any way they wanted but nooooo. (Rant over.)

    Your review is partially wrong. The pacifica has sunshades. Also I chose the pacifica because it was 15k cheaper and i get 60mpg instead of 36. The Toyota is probably more reliable, but they wanted 10k over msrp and I had to take whatever showed up on the lot

    I just rented a Pacifica Plug in Hybrid from Alamo at DEN and drove it to Vail. That's over the Continental Divide, to and fro, plus about 120 miles in between with many thousands of feet of elevation change. So 300 miles approx across the Rocky Mountains, I used 9 gallons of fuel and I never bothered to plug in the unit either as it was being valet parked. I just got 40 MPG in a 7 passenger minivan that handled very heavy traffic to Vail that made the trip close to 3 hours. It was smooth and substantial feeling. I'm seriously considering buying one I was so impressed.

    I have the volume wheel in my Mercedes e450 all terrain. It’s a great tool, and wish I had in my other cars, both BMW’s. This thing is a great cheaper car for short trips and hauling stuff home. Big improvement, and looks bigger than the x2. I think not the smallest suv from bmw. Maybe.

    the new wl grand c is a mixed bag for me. i do like the exterior design. i guess the cargo area is improved also with that . i also like the power lift gate and parking brake but thats about as far as it goes. the power train is smooth and quiet thanks to zf tranny but its under powered and outdated. you can get a two tone interior in the limited but the all black interiors in the laredo and altitude are abysmal. the piano black trim in the center stack is horrible. the rotary dial taking up space in the center is the worst in the industry. it is a comfortable, quiet, easy to drive, and somewhat affordable midsize suv in the lower trims. it is also cheaply made with some quality and reliability issues. i refuse to buy another car with a black interior bc im old and they are just to hard see anything. i wish i could put the old interior with a lighter color in the new body style about sums it up. maybe jeep will redesign some things, offer a second interior color in the upcoming mcr, as ford had to do to with the explorer. im more drawn to the two rows but i still wouldnt buy one. its really hard to find an affordable used or new suv without a black interior these days.

      @@motexas9092 the only issue I’ve had is that I have a slight clunk coming from the rear leaf springs. It’s a TSB that will be getting fixed next week. Oh, and my DEF gauge was going crazy with all the towing I had been doing this summer. It would attempt to estimate how “full” my tank was and would occasionally say I had less than I really did and lead to the occasional over filling of my DEF. Super irritating, but since it’s mostly water I would just put the cap on and flush the spill with water.

    Great review. Tongue weight is my concern also. Not hauling a trailer but a 25' boat with about 800lbs of tongue weight. Would you suggest air bags or a LD Hitch? Otherwise as a daily driver it's a much better choice than the HD IMO and a heck of a lot easier to park. Agree on the off road v on road towing capability, currently have a 21 GMC AT4 with the 5.3 and it's terrible MPG wise and the sag is unacceptable.

    • @MOHAWKAUTO
      @MOHAWKAUTO หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ChuckDaymude Since this video, I bought almost this exact trailer and have towed it thousands of miles. I bought a weight distribution hitch because I feel like WD hitch is the better option. Air bags help with taking some of the weight off the leaf springs and help level things out a bit, but they don’t take the weight off the rear axle. A WD hitch does just that, it takes some of the weight and shifts it from the tongue (and therefore the rear axle) and distributes it towards the trailer more. This helps the truck and the trailer be more level and a heck of a lot safer. There’s great videos out there that can explain WD hitches better than I can. Even with my WD hitch, I’m still debating airbags or something similar to reduce strain on my trailer as I’ve seen some trailer tongues collapse because of WD hitches. I think that if one system is good, then both would be great and that you could get the best of both.

      @@MOHAWKAUTO Appreciate the thoughtful and timely reply. Yeah, the WD hitch is something I am super familiar with and have given consideration to. Had not heard about WD hitches tearing up trailer tongues before but can see how that could happen due to the stress being cantilevered back to the trailer. Appreciate the information, nice work on the video, super helpful.
