Several years ago (think at least 25 years) a skipper of a boat dislodged the lower fixing of the rudder of the charity boat he was taking through a lock. My son at that time had a hobby of wreck diving. So I persuaded him to drive up and help. He went in the cut with a complete frogman's outfit. Tank, bubbles and all. Reset the rudder in a few minutes. Fantastic sights for all the gongoozlers hanging about City Road Basin.

Just curious but will bending those tabs eventually break them? If it normally runs at it's lowest setting then would it be better to get a smaller stove to just be more economical? Does it take long to heat a kettle? Are the radiators and water heater always connected?

Strange got same stove but didn't come with burner pot just burns on bottom plate. The flame never goes blue either even on max. Any suggestions

So, those knots at the frame of your superstructure leading to the gunnels, are those meant to prevent chafing and to protect the sheeting?

Surely this will cost an arm and a leg with today's prices? This will surely get worse with the demonisation of diesel. Would be reluctant to get a multi-fuel stove to replace with this.

Thats cool to see. We've got some much larger locks just down the street from our house. Would love to see them emptied to get a look inside.

The CRT simply cannot cope with the running of the network. Dredging of these drained pounds would be essential work while empty in my view Serving two essential needs deeper for boats and increasing the volume of water in the canal. Utter madness they don't do it.
