Arriving at Watford staircase locks in our Narrowboats we wait 2.5 hours to go down the locks and whilst waiting we manage to get hit by a CRT working boat with a new steerer at the helm!

I’ve just read in a book printed in 1973 that if a workboat hits a boat like yours or a pleasure craft then the whole crew are suspended for 3 days without pay .ls this still true ?

I’ve not heard that one and certainly didn’t happen on this occasion but they did then tie up and have lunch!
