Ive just started working at calcutt marina a bit further towards napton on the slipway services doing exactly this .. looking forward to being outside thro the summer..always wanted a job on the canals, it's landed perfect 😁

Interesting video but why bother? A NB TH-cam channel says he has had his boat blacked in 30 years. It doesn't effect the safety certificate or insurance?
@@StarCraftsontheCanal Narrowboat Journeys. Cannot believe any insurance company would give cover to a boat that hasn't been out of the water for 30 years. His anodes have also completely eroded away.
@@StarCraftsontheCanal BOAT-break out another thousand. The rules seem lax to allow this to happen and what insurance company would even give you 3rd party cover.

4mm is the minimum insurance companies will allow, Thankyou.

@@orsoncart1021 insurance would only issue 3rd party only insurance, that doesn’t sound like a boat in very good condition, they need looking after

3rd Party insurance is the minimum requirement.
