Interesting underwater profile of the butty showing a mechanised history.

Thanks for the explanation of the numbers. I was wondering about them. What is the minimum thickness allowed before repairs are needed?
    The boats look great!

Interesting video but why bother? A NB TH-cam channel says he has had his boat blacked in 30 years. It doesn't effect the safety certificate or insurance?

      Interesting, what channels this ?

@@StarCraftsontheCanal Narrowboat Journeys. Cannot believe any insurance company would give cover to a boat that hasn't been out of the water for 30 years. His anodes have also completely eroded away.

@@orsoncart1021 insurance would only issue 3rd party only insurance, that doesn’t sound like a boat in very good condition, they need looking after

@@StarCraftsontheCanal BOAT-break out another thousand. The rules seem lax to allow this to happen and what insurance company would even give you 3rd party cover.

      @@orsoncart1021 Easily and some.
3rd Party insurance is the minimum requirement.
