Hello, yeah it certainly is a bit miniscule but that could be due to the compression. But, I appreciate that they have now given us the option.

Yeah, that's more my fault...I don't quite have the eye for color-grading. I basically use "Auto-Enhance" with a FCP after applying the DJI Lut and then tweak a little after.

@@TravelingAhn not just Your video bro… I just been looking for the action Camera to buy and I don’t know which one to get between? Dji 5 and ACE pro 2 but I saw a lot of video about the DJI. Somehow they got the image was flicking on top.

The verdict is still out between the two, but I lean towards Dji

I haven't run any tests to see the battery drain increase. But if your record with screen off that would certainly help it. Although, I wouldn't expect 4 hours even if shot in standard bitrate. Bit rest assured, it is the best regarding batttery drain than GoPro and Insta360.

I had mine recording continuously until the battery died. With the screen on sleep mode, I got roughly 2 hours and 15 minutes of record time on 4k30p, as opposed to roughly 4 hours prior to the firmware update, which I don’t mind at all. I’m assuming if you plan on turning the camera on and off I think you’d be able to have it last 3 hours 👍🏼

@@markosaucedo Thanks for the answer! Yeah i'm like recording for 2 minutes and then turning it off and repeating the process when needed 😎 My GoPro Hero 7 Black can last about 2h of doing this so i believe Osmo 5 Pro will do double that!

Point well taken. I didn't catch the subtle differences after the firmware update regarding D-Log. Your use case is what the Action camera is technically made for so interesting perspective you have. Thanks for the comments and hopefully they will offer HDR effect off option!

I think the lipstick comment has more to do with the vibrant colors of the A5. Once you notice the pastel colors you can't stop noticing them and it becomes very annoying. Nice videos by the way!

Hey Tim, love your insights into this! The Pocket 3 certainly is the better overall camera over the Action 5 Pro. I just like testing out the camera to see what it can be pushed to. In cases of inclement weather, I like to know what the Action 5 can do if my Pocket is not able to be used. Looking forward to to your thoughts on the Ace Pro 2!

I was thinking about that when I wrote it that I really appreciate your enthusiasm to take the gear out and test it in various different scenarios and also to resist not taking your best camera out in the process. For me, I'll shoot a couple comparisons and come to my own conclusions and then I have a hard time shooting unless I know it's the best camera I have for the job, which isn't good for content. 😎

I figure if I don't like it I've got 15 days to return it. I also really thought the in-camera audio was phenomenal so the advantage of connecting the DJI mics was kind of nullified.

Hello, I may have to make another video to explain the process on that. You do have to use the Insta program to run each file before putting into FCP which is a extra step. Yeah, I'm hoping for better resoltions as the technology gets better!

Unfortunately, the "Normal Color Profile" and factory settings out of the box are just not going to be as good as "D-Log" But to implement D-Log is a simple process of applying the DJI Lut in post.

Shoot in Dlog and you can one touch apply a LUT in the Mimo app! And adjust from there, in the app! It’s so cool. In normal color, this Qualcomm chip is giving “13 stops of dynamic range”. Same in the Ace Pro 2, in HDR mode. The Ace pro 1 had the same problem. They fixed it in firmware. I predict and hope that DJI will give an HDR ON or HDR OFF option. In the meantime, set EV to -0.7, NR and texture to -2. It will help. Or just shoot Dlog. In Dlog the action 5 looks insanely good. Especially in tricky light. Hope that helps!

@@TravelingAhn It's a shame that you can't accept many people don't buy action cameras for action sports, isn't it? Many people use them for vlogging or simply recording family trips, etc., so a gimbal is perfectly reasonable.

Thank you! Yeah, the drone laws are strict out here. I was thinking of getting the DJI Neo... But, haven't really gotten into the Drones yet. I just like the low cost to get into drones without the huge cost. Love the suggestion, I'm slow and steady when it comes to working out....that curl workout seems intense (hahaha) Oh and for context, I do like turkey, but my family doesn't make it for Thanksgiving (hahaha)
