Wow, excellent video, its not to often I watch an entire video, but yours was awesome. I am going to Greece and Italy and bringing a Canon XA70, my pocket 03, and my GoPro 12, i am trying to figure out how to utilize them, still not quite sure, so far i got the GoPro for all dining vids and the pocket 3 for most ruins, I'm just not sure how to use the Canon, that has a 1" sensor also... any thoughts?

Hi. I have the pocket 3 for a couple of months and I am super happy with it. I also watched some of your videos regarding pocket 3. Recently I was thinking that it would be great to complement the p3 with the action 4(to use in water/under rain, etc) but I watched a couple of the reviews here on youtube and the harsh sharpness stopped me to go ahead with the purchase. In the beginning of your video I was disappointed again with the sharpness until you showed in d-log... and man.... apart it looked better colours also that's the way to get rid of this ugly sharpness in normal mode. is just reduced to an acceptable level. Much better. Now, with this video, you just made me to come back to action 4. Just to let you know, regarding the gimbal you used with action 4 is absolutely not necessary in daylight. Look at the stabilization, is just awful. Maybe in low-light will be helpful. Anyway, Thank you so much for all your videos you do. Some of them are really helpful. You do a great job! Ohhh... forgot to ask, do you know if action 4 works well with the dji mic 2? is same quality as with the osmo pocket 3? Thanks

It's not fair to compare 1080p and 4K by putting both videos side by side. Even if I have an 8K monitor, I won't be able to see any difference simply because you downscaled 4K from 3840x2160 to 1920x1080. You could just as easily argue that 1080p is no different from 540p if you scale down 1080p from 1920x1080 to 960x540, put both videos side by side and upload it to TH-cam at 1080p. You won't see any difference either. For a correct comparison, you need to upscale 1080p from 1920x1080 to 3840x2160 and show the footage one by one.

I got mine today i got this out of focus issue when i close to camera but when i extend to 16+ inch seems alright. Any advice?

Hi, nice to see you again ;D I’m using most of vloging with dji pocket 3, and have lumix s5iix. Lumix is a great camera, i’m glad that didnt pick sony a7iv ;) but forward that most for vloging using pocket 3 how small it is and i feel more good in public than bringing miroless full frame gear :D but need to practice more to go from that comfort zone with lumix s5iix to public more ;)

What do you find yourself carrying more often? Action 4 or pocket 3?

I have the action 2 and I just got the action 4, 3 days ago I sold my action 3. I like the 2 but it over heats here in las Vegas on hot days. Love video 👍 keep up great work

Yeah. The higher shutter speed does really help with micro-jitters. I'd like to see it at night in the city though. I also like the look of the action cams with infinite focus and no bokeh for things like this so you can see the entire background. That's why I loved your vlogs where you put the Action 4 facing outward and the Pocket 3 facing you with the bokeh so you would be the center focus. I liked the edit for this one better. The way you switched between the two cameras felt very natural and in sync with the dialogue. I think on your previous ones you did more of the picture in picture which didn't work as well, in my opinion.

I like the D-Log M since I don't mind color grading a bit, but other than that, I think the Normal color is also a great option if you want to just have fun and not worry about extra steps that may break your creativity while having fun with the camera. Great content! and keep it coming.

when you shot in auto mode, so ND 32 filter is on camera?

The camera has so much to dive into and options to flick through like you mention, however is a bit daunting for some. Out of the box though i feel the auto mode provides all round good quality footage for start to end users, i also think that the gimble is a major part of why so many like this camera but also its very robust as seen in many videos about it. The Insta is great for film forget & upload users but they do hurt themselves with the marketing. the Gopro in my opinion gives you a feeling of once you buy it your left wanting more and to date has fallen behind. Dji offer sales support after sales updates which is a big thing from what i hear multiple users mention and the app for multiple use cameras makes life easy. Maybe i am bias though as i have DJI

I agree with you, for normal vacation footages during daytime, auto mode - normal color profile is best. It really helps me forget all settings like shutter speed and iso.

Personally I think D log looks more realistic when exposed correctly otherwise it can look too dark.

I just shoot in Pro Normal Color profile and it works for me well enough. As long as I'm not comparing side by side, its suffice.
