Hello Michael, that's so cool to hear you got the dynamic duo of the Pocket 3 and DJI Action 4. It's great to hear that my video helped you with finding some accessories. Thank you for letting me know! All best to you too Michael!
I believe with the latest firmware, the Action 4 normal color profile supports 10-bit already. In your comparison, the Normal profile exposes better but it bump up the contrast level a bit too much (look at the floor near the building as an example). So it depends what you prioritize and for me exposure is a tad more important so I will be sticking to Normal color profile for now.
Nice, I appreciate your thoughts on why you would want normal profile! I'll definitely check out the 10 bit Normal Color Profile and see if I need to update. Thank you as always for supporting the channel 🙏
It's hard not to love an action cam for their sheer convenience and durability! One thing I noticed too is how little vertical bobbing there is compared to your other walking videos with the Pocket 3. Keep up the great work as usual Adam!
Great question. Normal color profile was restricted to 8bit at H.264. However, in March of 2024, they upgraded the firmware to support Normal Color Profile 10bit to H.265
Excellent video! I like your analysis of all the specific settings needed to get the most out of the Action 4. One of the main uses I want an action camera for is as a second camera perspective like FPV or mount it to a suitcase as I roll it through the airport.
The last part of the video in dark conditions with the gimbal convinced me enough to get the action 4. My only "concern" was that the op3 is better in the dark but honestly action 4 does a great job as well with the help of the gimbal. Ps: where to get it, Amazon? Keep it up
Yeah, the gimbal definitely helps the Action and gives it some versatility at the expense of a bigger rig. But, it's not a bad option for smooth video.

The other two cameras had presets that had warm/good color, at least to me. I feel like the Osmo Action 4 looks flat/dull and it feels like I"m going to have to learn a bunch of post-editing stuff to get it to look good. Bit bummed about that.
Hello, Interesting feedback. I think I like Action the best due to the DJI Mics
@@TravelingAhn I ended up keeping it and playing around with the settings. I think that Ace pro was almost over saturated. I have since recorded a lot of videos with the Osmo and plan to keep it. Like the DJI mics as well. Just received the action 5 yesterday. Will be positing footage today of my first recording.
@@RamblinManMoto Wow, that's great to hear!
I didn't know Korean cowboys existed until today 🤣
Yep, actually was very close to living in TX. When I moved from Oregon, it came down to TX and CA 😂
I don't agree with you and the dlog M, see your first shots, your face is too dark in d log m. But maybe it depends of your correction ... I agree with Wandereats just under me ... Thank's for your video
Hello PhK, yeah I do appreciate your thoughts and thank you for sharing 🙏 Not sure how much I can tweak in post with exposure issues in D-Log, but good point for sure! Thank you for commenting and supporting the channel!
Your D log m looks terrible compared to normal with DJI
Interesting feedback! Thank you for sharing!
Oh man, I need to do more studying. I thought 60 fps and up was for slow motion and motion blur occured when you were at 25 to 30 fps. WOW I have a lot to learn. Thanks so much Adam!!!
Hello Captain, you are very welcome. With Action cameras when I'm going about filming and walking or active, I like to film 60 FPS and have the extra frames!
