I got to say , having been a avid fan of Everquest. Not sure why you would try to make a game of an already very dated game that is still fun to play , and make it have worse graphics than it already has. I mean , this is like a car company starting up , and making a copy of a Ford Model A. Seems like a pretty dumb idea.

I lost 50k plat, which at the time was a fortune, asking someone I didn't know to hold it so I could transfer between characters - it was before shared banks. Needless to say when I relogged my other char, the dude had camped and was nowhere to be found. I wrote this long email to support with screenshots and only afterward realized what a fool I was and how much of my REAL life I was wasting trying to document and resolve that mistake.

Am i crazy if I don't like the new graphics... I prefer the classic EQ character models?

Great story!!! IMO, Luclin was the down turning point of EQ, after having peaked in Velious.

Kunark was the best expansion of all. Amazing lore, dungeons, difficulty progression, etc.

Of course PoP was the start of the downfall of EQ... that is what happens when you reach the peak, you come down.

To this day, even though the denizens of Kithicor Forest pose no threat... I still navigate this zone by it's zone wall. I could barely tell you what the interior of this zone holds.

Heh it was my first TLP in over 25, yea ever, but I was in as soon as the server went live. Probably just good luck. However, being an original 1999 player hardcore thru 2004 or so. Its been a blast for me actually having people to group with and Ive been enjoying it, closest its ever been to 99 for me, since well 1999...I box on live and have back in the day on EQ w/ 4 pcs, or 2 toon per pc, Live has made it easier for you to box than find actual groups, but IMO Teek is almost TOO packed, but Its awesome for me more good than bad and being back in the EC tunnel for the first time in 23 or so years is awesome too. Love the content!!

60 monk here, i do pretty much all life side, got a couple idols, some rings, and some efreeti boots and ring, and alot of other stuff, so its a really good camp life side, specialy if you can run and just snipe the nameds/phs

Everquest was ruthless AF. I remember PKing a guy on Rallos Zek and taking tons of plat from him. He was encumbered and probably made a long trip across the Karana's only to lose it all a crew of degenerates killing anyone crossing the bridge.

I got raid quality gear sent to me and I didn't realize it because I thought it was More Level 10 that I was getting sent. Never caught the name of who sent it to ask them

I been having trouble leveling as well. I been doing a box group and really believe i should have picked 1 toon to group only on the unrest lguk ect path. Maybe my healer that way i could always have them heal out of group.

crazy obvious scam. I bet you'd have fallen for the other scam too. You find an item no one else has in the bazaar, then you put it up for a price that definitely isn't worth it, but isn't unreasonable enough to prevent someone to buy it. Then you auction that you're looking to buy said item for an even higher price, on a different character to try to trick people into buying it to flip it by sellling it to you. I'd regularly call those people out until they logged off

A dev post on the forums somewhere said the guise will drop for 90 days or so after sever launch no matter what expansion the server starts at. ☕🤔😎

haha, this is pretty funny. Some people are really judgy, I'm running 9 right now, I am going so slow leveling, and then I got sidetracked researching those tower quests. I made it into Guk and noticed how much faster it is with the zone modifiers than open world.

Don't care if you box, but those new char models make me sick! XD

Watching this video a few weeks after the servers launched, it looks like you were spot-on: Teek had multi-hour long queues for days until they upped the server population cap, and Tormax… well, I hear it’s pretty quiet, but can’t say for sure because I haven’t been there.

Came back after basically 20 years away and am having a blast on Teek! I think we have very different definitions of slow leveling, though-only level 25 myself 😝.

Neriak isn't my FAVORITE city (that trophy belongs to Kelethin) but Neriak is my SECOND favorite city :D love the place Also Qeynos and its area is horrible. Also 4:20 that is the dumbest looking Flying Kick I've ever seen. Old models FTW

I love EQ so much but can't ever find a solid guild that doesn't require me to turn myself into a slave. I've tried to go back so many times to the TLP servers and it just never pans out for me because I can't play 40 hours per week, and without a guild it just feels like I'm wasting money not getting into the full potential of the game.
