PvP focused nerfs are fair but melee hunter was by no means going to top all the meters PvE, also this nerf is again heavily focused on lone wolf and fun aspects of hunter, I can't wait for blizz to just finally nerf pets because they're really whats annoying in pvp, getting solo'd by an unstoppable uncc-able pet.
I just hope they can buff ranged hunter to be better than melee hunter. I have no issues with melee being good. But it shouldnt be the best spec hunters’ got.
eye don't wanna be that guy but... it seems you either re rolled hunter from another class or only recently rolled into sod and decided to play hunter because it was fun/meta. good chance I am reading too much into this but it gives FOTM player vibes and as such I dont understand the hostility towards either Blizz or those who complained about the current state of hunters. I think most Hunter players knew that this version of melee hunter was scaling a bit too strong early on (beating not just wars BUT all the other melee classes in pvp and pve by a MILE) and with that most of em were expecting some sort of nerf. Tho I 100% agree that blizz rly dropped the ball in the first round of hunter nerfs at the 25 cap, I'd say its rly unfair to just claim they were unreasonable/ "knee-jerky" here. considering they left hunters in a slightly over powered state for 2 full weeks as they nerfed 2-3 other classes I'd say they were at least thinking about the issue a fair bit this time before taking a massive change. Additionally this nerf wasn't a total loss, as you so rightly pointed out. Giving the hunters a chance to run 2X diff weapon types opens the door to some diff combos ( not sure this changed the "bis" any ) Perhaps a 30% nerf on RS was a little too far but we kinda have to wait and see :/ @@Joshthegamer8600
I am new to hunter, but I rolled it early phase 1 and loved it. I would definitely have preferred that they buff hunter instead of nerfing it, there are still some 5 man bosses I cant solo. As for the rest of your comment, I appreciate what you have to say and I'm sure you are right. I wouldn't take most of what I say too seriously lol
1. You're extremely salty for being nerfed out of the get go, so lets just get that out of the way. You say Blizzard only listen to complainers, but guess what, melee hunters were the most overpowered spec by a LARGE margin, with the least complex rotation to boot. This is a dangerous combination for obvious reasons 2. You were overpowered for almost an entire month before being nerfed. Any other class got nerfed before way earlier Hunters should excel at ranged physical damage. You were 1# in melee by a factor of 30% from second highest melee class dps
Exactly! Hunters should be ranged not melee! And mages should be DPS, not healing! And rogues and shamans shouldn't be tanks! Its SoD dude, lighten up and have some fun lol
Its still pretty good. Dying from two priest dots is totally fine.
