Heh it was my first TLP in over 25, yea ever, but I was in as soon as the server went live. Probably just good luck. However, being an original 1999 player hardcore thru 2004 or so. Its been a blast for me actually having people to group with and Ive been enjoying it, closest its ever been to 99 for me, since well 1999...I box on live and have back in the day on EQ w/ 4 pcs, or 2 toon per pc, Live has made it easier for you to box than find actual groups, but IMO Teek is almost TOO packed, but Its awesome for me more good than bad and being back in the EC tunnel for the first time in 23 or so years is awesome too. Love the content!!
I believe have an interesting take here. I'll be 60 this month and I missed the first 23/24 years (of which I'll skip the long story). It is my 1yr anniversary. Last summer an old high school/college bf brought me an old pc, in which he had downloaded EQ. He and I spent many, many nights in the 1980's playing d&d ( I'm talking pencil, paper, d10 (10 sided dice). We had a one year campaign that became some of my fondest memories...(period). I was immediately captivated, and it was a really cool way to keep in touch from hundreds of miles away. I mean...hell...we could actually walk around a kill stuff together. What's better to do with a friend than that. So.. I began my journey into this brand new world called Norrath in 2023. We settled on Povar. I had stumbled around on Aggnar a few hours and just didn't get it. The live server was the most fun I had in... well, a long time. He was a returning player with a little knowledge from 2000/2001. I discovered TH-cam guides. Soon, I had a 65 wiz and a heroic 85 necro. Then I started hearing about an upcoming new expansion...Teek. Oh yeah. Like Franklin and his brother by the Guild Hall. (I'm really trying to wrap up) Here: I got on Teek, started grinding on 3 or 4 diverse chars, and something clicked! I got it! I have been playing, reading, listening, and studying like I was in med school. I love the TLP with a passion. And I'll still be a newb for a pretty long time. I visited the old POP a couple of times and I was so twinked out and powerful I didn't have a clue what I was wearing, what spells to mem, or where to go. My conclusion is that Teek is perfect for me until I know what I'm doing and have some friends to experience the adventure with me. Soon I will have my own lore and fond memories to go with my old school d&d stories. Happy happy happy
haha, this is pretty funny. Some people are really judgy, I'm running 9 right now, I am going so slow leveling, and then I got sidetracked researching those tower quests. I made it into Guk and noticed how much faster it is with the zone modifiers than open world.
Came back after basically 20 years away and am having a blast on Teek! I think we have very different definitions of slow leveling, though-only level 25 myself 😝.
I got raid quality gear sent to me and I didn't realize it because I thought it was More Level 10 that I was getting sent. Never caught the name of who sent it to ask them
I been having trouble leveling as well. I been doing a box group and really believe i should have picked 1 toon to group only on the unrest lguk ect path. Maybe my healer that way i could always have them heal out of group.
Neriak isn't my FAVORITE city (that trophy belongs to Kelethin) but Neriak is my SECOND favorite city :D love the place Also Qeynos and its area is horrible. Also 4:20 that is the dumbest looking Flying Kick I've ever seen. Old models FTW
Kelethin killed me way too many times when I was younger and falling off still killed you. I think I still have some sub-conscious animosity towards it lol

Guk has such a great exp modifier its hard to stay away in the 20-40 range
Interesting you say that and makes me wonder what would happen if future TLP they just give all zones a high mod

Ya, grouping is so much faster than box leveling, provided you can find consistent groups.
