I grew to love Jean through the live action adaptations, especially The Last Stand. I found Evolution a few years later. I always associated Jean’s calm disposition and service to the other characters with the mental blocks and barriers that Charles put into her psyche. She did come across as too glossy to me in Evolution but this version of her turned out to be my favorite overall bcuz in comparison to the other iterations, this one turned out to be her own person, and not a prop.

As a child i always loved this version of the avengers and nothing else compares, this was what i believe to be peak of marvel's animation story telling. I always had a soul connection to the hulk as a child and even today.

What frustrates me about Wally in YJ is this: Of the core 6, he never gets his own storyline arc, even in season 1. His stories are relegated to (well written) one-off episodes (denial and coldhearted). Then he disappears from the spotlight entirely. Of the core 6, his role is actually a neat subversion of what usually happens with female characters in genre stories like this - he's Artemis' love interest. (To a lesser extent, he's Dick's best friend). That is his role - he's a supporting character in two of his teammates' stories. I think he's an effective example of the above. To bring it back to the point that frustrates me - why is Wally not given a proper arc of stories that revolves around him, the way the other core 6 do? If he'd gotten a role that wasn't cringy comic relief in S1 but instead ALSO had a dynamic going on around him, I think I'd have enjoyed him more. Then, S2 does the silliest thing - without giving Wally a story arc of his own to carry, they put him off screen and then kill him after like 12 total minutes of screentime all season. And we are supposed to care? Bart had a stronger role than he ever did. Rocket had a stronger role in S4 than he ever did. Halo and Brion had stronger roles than he did in S3. Wally was always meant to be killed off because there was no storyline weight for him anywhere. But fans keep clamoring for him to come back, a character that amounted to nothing in the story overall than being arm candy for a much superior character and being a cringy comic relief.

An aspect of the High Evolutionary I've always liked is his relationship to the creativity. Namely, the dark side of creating, where you create something for *validation.* He doesn't create life for the sake of the life itself, the project is incidental and easily discarded. Instead he creates life basically just to prove to himself that he can. But... he can't. He can't in a way that actually satisfies him, because the only life impressive enough would, definitionally, exceed and supplant him. And because he's such a narcissist, the thought of creating something greater than himself is terrifying. So he dedicates his life to a project that, if he ever succeeded at, he'd *also* consider himself a failure. And because he's such an egotist, he can't get that validation from anybody else: Only the High Evolutionary is brilliant enough to judge the creations of the High Evolutionary. So between this egotism, narcissism, and total lack of self-reflection, you just have this dumbass giving himself an impossible task and eroding himself every time he fails, and his attempts are all so cruel and pointless which basically requires that he discards even *more* empathy and common sense, trapping himself in this downwards spiral. The moral of this story, kids, is don't turn yourself into Sisyphus and then roll that boulder down over and orphanage every day, it's bad for your mental health.

Its always possible this version of Hank and Jan are younger, maybe in their 20s and maybe she is the younger of the two like in the original comic origin where hank was either a senior or a young professor. I mean I know many immature and excitable people at collage age.

I like the fact that Hulk is angry and impulsive but not dumb in this version (and is still a distinct personality, not a fusion with Banner.) There’s a point in the episode with Michael Korvac where Iron Man says "He's emitting some kind of energy I've never seen before", and Hulk says "It's a form of cosmic radiation," and then casually goes back to eating. It's funny, but also it makes sense. For years he's been living in the head of a world class physicist whose research focused on radiation, and seeing everything he sees. It stands to reason he might have seen something like this before, even if Iron Man hasn't.

Yeah I can pretty much relate on how I feel about the MCU adaptation of Hulk, I grew up with the 2003 Hulk so when I saw this MCU Hulk I was fine at first but as they progress with him, he just became well lame. Anyway I'm looking forward to that Hulk 2003 review you'll do and Happy New Year

I still wish that in Endgame when Prof Hulk went to snap they had it so the gamma energy from snapping would have undone the merge they achieved to have Professor Hulk & wouldve brought us back to Savage Hulk. 1. That wouldve been a more poingant sacrifice for Hulk to snap than temporarily scarring his arm & made the decision more impactful for him since he'd be giving up the internal balance he worked so hard to achieve for all those years. 2. Thatd be a way they could reset the status quo for the character & make it easier to take him in new directions since they clearly dont have a solid gameplan on where they want to take the character. 3. We couldve also gotten a Hulk vs Thanos rematch & actually seen an Avengers 1 level Hulk tearing it up on the battlefield again

The MCU kinda needed to write Bruce better, as well as Hulk, and have Hulk been more prominent.
