@@PaintHQ Spot on. Thank you. I forgot that one but I did see it... Dulux didn't spray there too well (or well at all). I wonder if Airless with air assist would have fixed the tails but then again, so much extra cost for a poor products is just not worth it...

I was fortunate to field test the Graco Ultra XT technology before going into production and now owning a 495 XT.. Without doubt go for the 495 XT - it’s XT motor technology is a feat of engineering,. You get an Endurance Vortex pump, which its rotating piston design facilitates a longer service life.. Plus the pump can be swapped out by yourself (ProConnect).. it’s awesome, the quietest airless unit on the market 👌💙💯 happy to help and advise any way I can.. regards Pete

Hey Phil, Merry Christmas my friend.. it’s difficult to make a direct comparison, it’ll be better for me to describe each application - to give an analogy, it would be like comparing BM Scuff-X and BM Advance in the paint world - with each having distinct advantages.. So Multi-Light has more ‘glue’ to the product, so it allows you to joint and tape, Vs Airliss G is a finishing compound, you could peel tape away (if you wanted to).. advantage Multi Light may have in this scenario is smoothing over painted surfaces 👍 Multi Light can fill up to 8mm, whereas Airliss G is 5mm - I’d choose Multi Light if you had some deeper fills that would benefit from a ‘pre-fill’ before going on to roller apply and smooth 👍 Airliss G can be airless sprayed, Multi Light cannot - with that both can be roller applied, smoothed very easily and sand very easily too 👍 In the P&D world I’d recommend Multi Light if you had one or two walls, and the Beissier roller and toolkit is a perfect combination 👍 hope this helps a little.. wishing yourself and your family a wonderful Christmas period - enjoy the break 🎄 regards Pete 💙💯

That’s a good question.. 99% of the time, no.. the spray application is so ‘delicate’ and not as heavy as a brush - there’s minimal risk of bridging. Just running your finger / finger nail round each masked line before pulling tape, is usually sufficient to test if you’re good to go 👍 regards Pete

Hey buddy, thanks for watching my videos.. really you need to be doing the walks first, then next day mask up and spray the ceiling on the last day - it’s far easier to mask a ceiling cut line Vs masking and protecting the ceiling 👍 if you still want to do the walls next, you could go up onto your ceiling (no cutting in).. then mask the cut line and spray the perimeter of the ceiling back in - sounds a bit strange but it’s far easier 🙏 regards Pete 💙💯

sei il benvenuto, in qualsiasi momento.. prova un 210, è un po' più stretto, ideale per le ringhiere, ma può fare porte (e radiatori) -- solo più passaggi (larghezza della ventola di 4 pollici).. il mio suggerimento quando sei nuovo all'airless spruzzare, significa muovere la pistola in modo relativamente veloce 👍 i miei migliori auguri amico mio... saluti Pete 💙💯

@@PaintHQ 1.3mm niddle max for this paint 1.5mm is for primer you should not see drops of paint just mist perfect atomized paint it is not there then or put more thinner in the paint or increase air looking at the video I see that paint Is not atomized

Hey buddy, thank you for watching my videos 🙏 you’re spot on in your thinking.. although a 106 (.006”) is for very low viscosity paint and still you’re forcing material through something less the size of a human hair 👍 a 108 can be a little hard to control.. to buy one tip for small work and be more controlled, I’d probably go with a 208 - yes a wider fan (4”), the wider overspray is worth the compromise (unless the low viscosity material really will go through a 106, without tip blockage, it’s difficult to say without testing).. hope this helps my friend.. regards Pete 💙💯

Hi Eric, my apologies for the delayed response my friend.. it’s tricky to make a direct comparison, whilst both professional / contractor units, they’re on opposite ends of small and large projects.. the distinct advantage of the UQS, is electronic fast responsive trigger, you’re virtually eliminating spits.. I use this on most room decoration jobs where I’m first spraying a small run of skirting, door frame, door, sill etc.. walls and ceilings I’ll use a bigger pump, such as the Ultra 495 XT.. now the XT motor technology is able to maintain such a steady running pressure, you’re delivering the most perfect paint atomisation 👌 to give my advise on choosing one over the other.. I basically wouldn’t recommend an UQS as a first sprayer or a sole unit (unless for small projects), these small cordless units compliment their bigger counterpart pumps 💙💯 hope this helps a little.. regards Pete

You raise a good point my friend.. Electronic guns such as the QuickShot or PowerShot, you most definitely shouldn’t be submerging in water - although I’m hearing good reports on how robust the new PowerShot is 👌 That said, my personal recommendation is not to submerge any gun, incl mechanical airless guns.. whilst many do without problem, it’s possible water could interfere with needle packings.. to clean, I simply use a household degreaser that lifts the waterborne materiel very easily. Prettyboy also makes a brush cleaner / conditioner that works very well - then wipe with a wet cloth, drying with a microfibre. It’s worth noting, these guns are also smooth plastic with less indents and crevices Vs mechanical guns 👍 Hope this helps my friend and you’re keeping well 🙏 .. regards Pete 💙💯

Drop a large piece of cardboard on the opposite sideside of to where you’re spraying those upper banisters.. saves so much overspray going all over the place 😃

That brings me to my thinking - if a Graco unit is purchased from outside the UK and shipped into the UK (for example), this is known as a ‘grey import’ and would be grounds for a unit not being supported (by an authorised distributor/ service centre).. that’s only a guess as to what you’re seeing.. Otherwise I can vouch that Graco’s mission is to provide A+ service and absolute minimal downtime, they really do want the end user back up and running asap - I’ve experienced this firsthand and learned of many positive stories 💙 hope this helps, I’m happy to help and advise any way I can.. if you’re thinking of investing in the UQS, I’d say go for it (through a local authorised distributor 😄) keep in touch my friend.. regards Pete 💙💯

Hello my friend, the first thing to note AA guns G15 / G40 (Air Assist) by design differs from straight airless. Now the introduction of Graco low pressure airless spray tips - LP and FFLP, in my opinion has bridged the gap 👍 To answer your question - Graco Ultra XT and Mark XT airless paint sprayers maintain an incredibly steady airless pressure, you’re not getting ‘dips’ where atomisation could be effected.. Coupled with Graco Powershot XT electronic guns - the needle response is so quick, you’re virtually eliminating spits and the gun is ‘talking’ to the XT motor to reduce / eliminate the higher pressure ‘paint blast’ that occurs with mechanical airless guns / conventional airless sprayers 👍 So two technologies with distinct advantages to both - now if the two could be combined 🤔🚀💙😄 ..hope this helps a little, happy to help further any way I can.. regards Pete 💙💯

I’m not familiar with the Sikkens product you list - if it’s a thixotropic (brush / roller) product, I’d guess a .010” orifice… start at 800 psi, spray a test and go up in 200 psi increments, testing each time - so 1000 psi, 1200 psi This Sikkens product below I’ve sprayed many exteriors joinery jobs and recommended with success to others - Sikkens Rubbol WF 3311 holmanpaints.co.uk/exterior-wood/1924-sikkens-rubbol-wf3311-opaque-wood-coating-is-formulated-for-spray-application-on-both-interior-and-exterior-wood.html It’s what I spray in this video, setting up an airless paint sprayer.. th-cam.com/video/XxGc9JTHrpo/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps, keep in touch my friend.. regards Pete

If I’m understanding correct.. the model featured in this video is for connectivity to a compatible Ultra XT or Mark XT (ProContractor).. There is a PowerShot Standard that can connect to ANY airless paint sprayer, and just like the model in this video, you can benefit from electronic gun technology (powered by DeWALT).. for a virtually spit free airless spraying experience, hugely soft trigger pull for all day spraying comfort (off one battery) 👍 hope this helps my friend.. regards Pete 💙💯

Hey buddy, sorry once again for a delay in my reply.. thanks for sharing your experience 👍 The twist tip AA setups will see some improvement with assisted air but you won’t get the full Air Assisted Airless experience because the twist tip is blocking some of the atomising / shaping air - so AAA flat tips is the way to go 👍 It would be wrong for me to directly compare AAA to Graco’s new electronic PowerShot airless gun technology - there is distinct advantages to both 👍 you perhaps seem my other reply, giving my opinion on AAA and also the advantages of Ultra XT / Mark XT paired with PowerShot XT 👍 I’m happy to help and advise any way I can my friend 💙💯 regards Pete

Now the introduction of low pressure airless spray tips, in my opinion has bridged the gap - so Graco FFLP atomises so fine and so low in pressure that you’re minimising paint particles bounce back under pressure (waste). But airless fine atomisation will result in paint in the air (inefficiencies).. this is where the introduction of air (Air Assist) enables an even low airless pressure, a bit of atomising air and a curtain of air to improve efficiency 👍 Now to fully answer your question - Graco Ultra XT and Mark XT airless paint sprayers maintain an incredibly steady airless pressure, you’re not getting ‘dips’ where atomisation could be effected.. Coupled with Graco Powershot XT electronic guns - the needle response is so quick, you’re virtually eliminating spits and the gun is ‘talking’ to the XT motor to reduce / eliminate the higher pressure ‘paint blast’ that occurs with conventional / mechanical airless guns / airless sprayers 👍 hope this helps a little, apologies for a long answer.. happy to help further any way I can.. regards Pete 💙💯
