I'm a corsair fan boy but I promised myself for my next build I'm going with Lian li when you have 9 QLs in a 5000D its cool but the Lian's have just a more elegant look to them. Also the cable management is much smother to implement. With Corsair OMG cabling is a nightmare 2 cords per fan 9 QL's and 3 ML's for a push pull at the top so you do the math and don't open my back panel its madness lol. Lian Li hear I come...keep up the good work Seekers.
@@ronniekregar3482 corsair fans are terrible ! i got the new lcd cooler and it comes with their premium fans and they feel cheaply built with a mess of wires ,yes their software is pretty good but the fans and hot spot lighting sucks ! i got 9 v2 unifans and they are the best built fans i've ever seen and they are cheaper then corsairs premium fans ,corsair is living in the dark ages with their outdated mess of wires .

4:10 Regarding the 2 sata power connectors, there’s a main one and a sub one. The main one should be connected in all circumstances and the sub one should be connected when there are +12 fans OR if they’re often set on white static color.

nice Tutorial. I got confused on the connecting the usb and the rgb/pwm connector based on Track 7:36. if I go to this route, Do I need to connect the usb and the rgb/pwm cable at the same time if I use the L-connect3 software? This is where I got lost on your video. thanks

Quick question: My case can have up to 20 fans, any single lian li controller can have up to 16 fans with full control. Is it possible / feasible to use two separate lian li controllers or some other solution so that I can use PWM and RGB on all 20 fans?
When the AL's came out I was like why can't they also have lighting on the side like the SL! I hoped so badly that they would combine the AL and SL and they did it right in time for my raptor lake + 4090ti build. Delicious.

Great video thank you for making it. When connecting the cable to the fans the cable connection has a cap on it that can be removed so you can change the orientation of the cable. Noticed that the center mirror is not even centered it wobbles when spinning LOL!!!!! Looks cheesy So did they steal the design from the Antec Infinity Mirror fans or the Zalman ZM-IF120 fans?
I did make it work pretty simply. From memory I did plug my galahad II trinity PWM (power) directly on motherboard to be able to monitor CPU temp, then for ARGB I did plug into the main 3-pack controller in the SYNC Port (not the same port of the 3-pack cable, but he other to sync with my 3-pack fans). =). I dont think I've used the controller that cames with the Galahad, I think I have throwed it sinces the 3-pack controller is plenty!
I think I figured out why the connector is in the middle. Had a rough time trying to mount the sl120's to a rad. Where the connector is on the side and was in the way of the tubes coming from the rad. Was going to do a push/pull configuration but it couldn't be done.

Yeah I’m switching my Corsair QL 140s and LL120s for these because of cable management . I love the icue software but Corsair needs to do some different designs or something and ffs do something about the 2 cables per fan lmao so many cables in the back of my case ! Still got love for Corsair but thought it was time to switch out my fans for something new

Ripping out all the NZXT fans out of my build and replacing with these. I just got the 3x 120mm kit in (still waiting on 4x 140's to come in) and I'm so excited to put these in. Being able to click the fans together to connect them and having one cable for 3 (up to 4 though really) fans, just fucking genius. Lian Li deserve an award for the thought and effort that went into designing these fans. Build quality feels top notch too. Not even going to try to resell, reuse, or give away my old NZXT fans. They're going in the trash. Absolute trash fans. I liked the unique oval/circle led ring they had but they perform like shit and the LED's go bad constantly.
@@mxraa6 They're awesome! Haven't had any issues so far and they perform far better than the NZXT fans. Can't say it enough, but hooking up the fans together and plugging in to the controller is so simple and easy. If I had to pick a negative I'd say the L-connect software could be a little better but you don't have to use that.
I also just bought the 120 tripple pack with the controller and I also bought 4 single packs of 140. Can that all fit with the controller that comes with the tripple pack?

The fan cable does go both ways and not just one way. The plastic piece actually pops off and you can adjust the cable in any direction before placing it back on top.
Had to learn this the hard way, 3 out of 4 combos did not work and I thought it was a controller/fw/software issue for 3h, so make sure to connect the cable the right way. And yeah, the cover pops off. That's the proper way to switch direction of the cable.
Quick question. (Or at least I hope it's a quick.) Can I use these to replace the fans on my radiator? I can be me, but I don't see any connection I can plug into the 4 pin cpu-fan-header on my MB. Thank you for reacting to what might be a silly question.

Great video GS, as always. I love these how-to videos you've done. Especially since I'm more of a visual learner anyways. But these new fans are kind of gimmicky honestly. Not a fan (lol) of the new look. I still think the ranking goes SL, AL, SL-Infinity. I absolutely loved the AL's when they came out and picked up 3 3x packs. Great fans. Then the SL's came out and after waiting around 4-5 months, I was able to get 3 3x packs and can't be happier. Their performance, rgb and the looks are top notch. Don't get me wrong, they look cool. They would go perfect with my MSI x570 Ace, which has an infinity mirror over the I/O but other than that, I don't see the need. They are a little better moving air but very, very small increase. Also maybe now Lian Li put these newer fans out the price of the SL's and AL's will drop. Wishful thinking I know but a man can have a dream now and again.
I did everything and it worked perfect . This video helped a lot and the software was working perfect also but then all of a sudden . In the software it doesn’t show my light sync nor speed. So I can’t do anything basically . The connect 3 I tried connect 2 software and it says it doesn’t detect my controller even tho everything is plugged correctly

So you can have your motherboard software control the lighting and fan speed. When you power on your pc your settings will be on immediately vs if you don't it will take a few seconds and until you log into windows for your settings to kick in.

Thats why I use Unifans in a lot of our builds now because it saves me time

That's what I heard also before buying them.
I really love that they support older fans with their controller since you can only get the galahad with normal sl120s

You said the plug on the fans only go one way, you can configure the cable to go either way. It is 180 degree flippable.

With your Lancool 216 build, could you connect the large front fans, to this new box? I know they're different but not sure how it would work!

Only the RGB connector fits on the new controllers. The fan header will be plugged into what you have already.
