Features:
The infinity mirror integration to the SL INFINITY 120 creates a light effect that does not
compromise on brightness, creates a definite separation between the light layers, and adds an infinity RGB depth to the UNI FANs.
The circular-shaped infinity mirror at the center of the fan is visible and tuned to have multiple layers spacing 0.5mm between each, creating a clear multi-layer effect from any visible angle.
Inspired by the original UNI FAN SL, aluminum trims surround the side infinity mirrors that are located on both visible edges of the fan frame.
Each UNI FAN SL INFINITY 120 features a total of 40 fully addressable LEDs for maximum
brightness, the best infinity mirror look, and complete light effect customization.
Other highlights include the ability to change the direction of the fan cable so you can make it face the way you want. This makes cable tidying easy. You can also remove the interlocking mechanism to tidy things up in the case a bit more. Which helps!

best video ever. it took me 4-5 tries to find someone just hooking them up. everyone else's videos looked like Lian LI promotional videos and I just wanted to see how to properly hook them up. thank you for your service 💓
Thanks Gary. Glad to help, hope you enjoyed enough to subscribe 🦐
Same boat! This helped a lot since the 3 groups of 3 with a single in the rear was exactly the setup I’m looking at. Only question is if I get a single pack for the rear will that still connect to the controller or no?
omg same i could either only get the rgb to work or just the fans to spin not both it was frustrating
@@TheProvokedPrawn I’m confused, do I gotta connect the 3 pin 5v rgb header AND the usb to the motherboard or can I only have the 5v 3 pin connected?
@@TheRockford22 yes but using one of the (4) cable that comes with the 3 pack.
I cannot describe how grateful I am to find this video and being able to enjoy this channel... Insanely helpful that you actually walked through each part of the fan package and how to set them up.
Glad to found it helpful. Hope you enjoyed enough to subscribe 🦐
I was just desperate to understand better how many USB, RGB and fans connections I would need to use 9 infinity fans, you just saved my life bro
Glad to help. Hope you enjoyed enough to subscribe 🦐
I cant tell which is more cleanly done.. the fans OR the video! Very clear overview 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! Hope you appreciated enough to subscribe 🦐
Thank you for the very thorough video. I have made my own custom cables for the fans which involed new wires and soldering to the fan header connections. I tested my system but the fans were not spinning. In half panic that I have done something wrong and potentially fried my fans, I searched the internet if anyone else experienced this phenomenon. Your video came up and was able to answer my question and I could continue with the build.
Nice instructional btw, and probably will come in handy for many!
Fantastic! Glad to hear it. Hope you appreciated enough to sub.
I love how the provoked prawn has very similar taste in pc parts to me, it has made finding good reviews over the past year or two so easy, especially with his reviews actually seeming like a review and not just a sponsored product that he has to talk about, and i just subbed because of how much I enjoy his videos
Thanks Tyler. Very kind.
Ofc, also would you happen to know how well these work with signal rgb? They supposedly work with lian li l-connect but I'm not sure how well it works@@TheProvokedPrawn
Bought two 3-packs and they came with splitters for the controller-to-fan plugs. Which means you can connect two sets of two into one of the controller plugs. Crazy how much thought they put into this product. Hands down the easiest fans to work with.
Yeah, I just bought 7(2 packs + single) and I m very impress with what came in the boxes, more cables then I will ever need. Thinking of buying another 3 pack and replacing my Galahad fans too now.
Does that mean you can have 5 sets of fans plugged into 1 controller? (with 2 sets of the fan using the splitter and only occupying 1 slot on the controller) Thanks!
Beware the power limits there are reports of burned splitters because of overloading it.
@@twinstars8812 i think the maximum amount of fans is 16. however , if running that many fans on one controller , I would plug in the second SATA cable for sure .
Did you buy the SL Infinity version? Or SL V2? For my infinity fans i don’t see a splitter cable …
just built my first pc and was worried I did something wrong installing these fans but when I got to the part where you said Dont worry, install L Connect and the fans will spin, what a relief 😂 just downloading Windows now and getting ready to stick it in the new pc. thanks for the video, def the most accurate video on how to install these fans. You got my sub!!! And not trying to be weird, but your voice is extremely soothing 😂😂😂 I felt very relaxed watching this vid. thanks again bro🦾😎👍
Happy to help!
The RGB lighting only works after you boot into Windows and then download the L-Connect software?
Dude thank you for this. Was going crazy trying to find more connections on my motherboard as the 2 were already full. Life saver for a newb on his first build!
I got 12 fans in my case 😂 my wallet about to really hurt with these fans but thank you so much for being the only one to actually answer my question about the control and the amount i can plug into it
Can you help me i don't undersrand how to control the fans using l connect software and not using motherboard software
At this point, with all the reviews and tutorials, I might master how to setup the fans even though I don't have a single pack. Still waiting to be available in my country. Great vid though!
Hope you get them soon!
lol thank you so much i was gonna give up on my first build bc i didn't know where tf the wires to the fans went and you just saved my life thank you so much
This is like, perfect. Every question and thought I had along the way was answered in perfect order. I'm just happy this video exists. It gives me hope lol

Prawn dominating the detailed instruction videos once again ;) another one of his videos actually helped inspire me to stop waiting on my 1st build and just jump in. it was the fans and cable management that made me hesitate
I cannot explain in words how happy and grateful I am, thank you so much for explaining this.
You're welcome. Glad to help. Say thanks by smashing subscribe, join or indeed, super thanks! :)
Thanx for taking the difficulty out of this install for beginners like myself. I have a lian li 2 case so i was thinking of new fans and lian li make the connectability very easy. Great vid mate, keep it up!

i was confused on what i needed to have plugged in and you cleared it up. thx
Awesome video, helped me set up my Lian Li fans when I was unsure how to use that little black box from the 3-pack. Thanks! 👍🏻

Very useful video. I bought my first Lian Li Case the Evo XL, and decided to give up Icue. The Lian Li evo system is absolutely Co fusing cluster.
Glad it was helpful!
Time to pull my case apart and redo EVERYTHING. I think I need this Lian Li controller
just saying: very thoughtful of lian li to create daisy chained fans because their cases need a lot of fans
Thank you so much for this video. I've been trying to do more research on these fans before I decided to buy them. You were the only one bothered to do this
Glad I could help!
Awesome videos bro! Just finished my build, your lian li uni fans guides carried me through :D thanks again and keep up the good work, you are helping a lot of people
Glad to help Silvio
@@TheProvokedPrawnHey, great video , but can I connect 3 × triple pack fans = 9 fans if I only have 1 argb headers on my motherboard. PLEASE REPLY
Yes you can, you can do up to 4 sets of 4 (16 fans) total on just 1 of the controller boxes and that controller box only needs 1 usb header (MB), 1 fan header (MB) 1 rgb header (MB) and 2 sata cables (power supply)@user-vo2wc4qk5b

The only disappointing thing about the 3 pack, was the manual, had to scrape up the info here and there to find out the controller's capabilities.

@@TheProvokedPrawn Absolutely! I've been a Sub for a while now, and your videos never cease to be helpful. Thank you again.
Crazy how all u have to do for the connections is daisy chain the fans put the connector on the first fan then plug that connector to the controller then sata then I think u have to plug in a usb connection as well, love how smart and useful lian li’s fans are and even better they look the best, fr Lian li probably has the best fans for aesthetics and cable management
I recently got the V2 uni fans and the Galahad aio 360 and I love them. Your video was a big help.
Glad to help!
How many uni fans did you end up putting in?
This video made me get the fans. Also, thank you for showing how they all work. This video saved me time. Thank you!
Glad to help Sir Randall 👍
worth noting, that you get the thick connector (from the triple box) 3 times total. so if you have a 3x3 + 1 setup you will be missing 1 cable for the single fan. so if you play on doing more than 3 groups, buy 2 triple boxes
they give 4 cables, not 3 :)
That knife.. is adorable.
No one is getting shanked by it. That's for sure.
Thank you for explaining the rgb to mobo plugs
No problem 👍
Okay, the best part of this whole video was when you randomly whipped out a miniature folding knife to open the fan box!!
Hopefully the rest of it was good too
@@TheProvokedPrawn I always enjoy your videos.
You saved me a lot of worry and the money for 2 controllers, thanks :) well deserved like & sub!

How are you supposed to set all this up if your mobo only has 1 3PIN connector. I have an Asus ROG Strix B550-F Gaming Wifi II board.
Me too, im out of i/O
@@almouallimifamily339splitter cable
But you can also use splitter to hook up more, but would not work for me with only one onboard.
very well explained my friend ty so much. I don't need 1/2 the stuff I thought I needed. just the fans 🙂
Glad it helped
can you use a y-splitter to connect a single fan to a row of 3 so back extract & the 3 fans on the top of the case & then connect it to the control box in the back ???
This helped a ton I was testing the fans on a makeshift rig out of old parts and was wondering why they weren’t spinning when I turned it on.
Glad to help. Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed enough to subscribe! :)
i only watch 45 seconds of the video and i just had to comment, i want this little pocket knife lol that in itself made me like the video
Great guide!
Does the triple pack of fans come with multiple of the 2in1 power and RGB connections? (the flat connector that connects to the box)
So for the 10 fan setup demo'd in the video, I would be able to buy a single triple pack, and 7 single fans, and have all I need to connect them all?
Thanks!
I'm about to set up my fans and this is the most helpful video! Thank you!✌️
Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed enough to subscribe! :)
Helpful video! And believe it or not i did connect them wrong 😅
Hello, first of all thank you for this video.
I habe one question: I have 3 INF Fans, do I really need to connect them to the hub or can I save myself all those Cables and Controller and go only straight into the Motherboard?
Man you are a life saver thank u very much for such great content, keep up the good work
Glad to help! And I will do. Hope you are subbed to see more of it 👍🏼😁
How many of those cables at 11:20 do you get in the triple pack? I’m going to get 6 SL inf reverse and 4 normal ones. They way I’ll purchase them is 6 single pack for reverse fan and 1 single pack for normal and a triple pack one. Does the triple pack come with 4 of those flat cable?
Hi. Any news?
Best guide and explanation ever
Glad you think so! Hope you enjoyed enough to subscribe 🦐
Sure thing, I just realized I didn't but when I came back to vid cuz i wanted to ask u, i have galahad 2 trinity radiator and UNI SL fan and TL LCD fan, the question is can i use the controller of the uni sl fans with the tl lcd ?
Hi! i love ur videos, ur voice is so calm. can u add like timestamps in the description? that would be very helpful
I want to but it takes so much extra time, time that I could spend making more videos. 😭
@@TheProvokedPrawn Makes sense
Awesome video, detailed and high quality!
But since I'm not the brightest and may have missed this part, I'd just like to confirm:
1.A single pack fan, will work just off of the motherboard connectors and does not need the controller?
2.Can the RGB and fan speed be controlled via the motherboard headers and software, or do I need to install Lian Li's proprietary software?
Correct
@@TheProvokedPrawn the single can just be plug in cpu fan header? im planning to use it as a cpu fan
Thankyou for the tutorial sir, you helped a lot 🙏
Glad it helped
The very first and educative video ever. In this case where did you connect the Galahad AIO Led? Big thumbs up for your work.
The Galahad was already installed to be honest (from when I did that video), so I didn't mess with the wiring or use the new control box as I probably could have.
@@TheProvokedPrawn I asked because I have 9 UniFans connected with one controller(with non space left) and I don't know how to connect the Galahad Led connector. Can you help me with?
@@musicsthearts7648 connect it to the RGB header on your motherboard?
The thing the AIO LED cable is made to be insert into the controller box. But there's no space left since the fans with rgb are connected in all 4 modules of the controller.
I just purchased the galahad lcd radiator and i have two triple packs. Is this gonna work or do i need singles?
Hey, great video , but can I connect 3 × triple pack fans = 9 fans if I only have 1 argb headers on my motherboard. PLEASE REPLY

Thanks for the Video. Was easy to understand and helped me out alot!
Glad to help you out 👍
Can these be used in a way, that one is exhaust and two are intakes?
thanks this video was super useful, im trying to get my hands on 9 120s, and 3 140s, but its like the 140s dont exist i cant find then anywhere
do u know which lian li uni fan has the best performance?
Hi, so I bought one triple pack, and 6 seperate reverse blade fans. But I guess to daisy chain the 6 reverse fans, i need to buy another controller that comes with the daisy chain cable no ?
I only have 1 cable from the triple pack. The other cables that comes with the single packs, are for mb only
If my cpu cooler non-lian li has a argb wire where would i plug it in this case? Because if i use the controller it wont have a argb head it will have the other head with many pins
i have one of those lian li hubs, i want to connect 9 fans, 3 120mm on aio radiator, 3 120mm on the side, 1 120mm on back, and 2 140mm on the bottom is this possible? if not, what would i need?
case is H6 flow
i have never built a pc before, so sorry if i sound like an idiot, it is much more confusing than i thought xD
Yes. Four groups. One on each port. Easy if you follow the guide.
Thanks for the video. This is super helpful. Quick question, if I replace an GPU AIO fan with these Liam li fans, where would I connect the fan control? I know just like cpu aio I can connect into the sync slot for rgb control.
It is not true that you can’t do 5 clusters. There is a y-splitter cable that is included in the box with the controller that allows you to connect 2 clusters into one control box input slot.
Nice to know! So you can have all 5 sets plugged into 1 controller? any limitation? Thanks!
excellent video but in my uni fans lian li sl-inf 120 3 pack i dont have spliter cable only single cable coming ouut of the fans and should go only to the controler. Im trying to use with ryuujin 2 360 but fans must go only to lian li controler
im loving the look of these fans and wouldn't mind upgrading to them sometime soon
They're great
Great vid, very informative. Hoping you or someone else can answer this: if I had the controller hub and wanted to forgo using L-Connect by connecting the PWM and RGB cables to separate controllers instead (in my case, an Aquacomputer Octo and Farbwerk), how exactly does control work for the fans? Would the controllers detect all the fans connected to the hub as one fan and thus mirror settings across all fans? Or will all the fans be recognized individually, allowing for individual speed and RGB control?
I want to thank you for this video as I built my PC today and the inf-fans do not spin and gave me a big headache,
if it wasn't for this video I would still struggle with cables to figure out why the fans don't work.
Lian Li's guide did not help at all.
You're welcome. I'm glad to help! Hope you enjoyed enough to subscribe.
Thank you for the video!
Just one question, can I also connect 140mm sl infinity fans into the hub. It ought to work, right? :)
Yes
You wouldn’t happen to have a write up on how to connect 10 Lian li fans, Lian li streamers(24pin/triple 8pin pcie) and AIO?
I bought the Lian li argb kit but have no idea what goes where to make it all work as one.

And I have a qusthion, I have o11 evo dynmic case, and I want to pay 3 packs of fans and one single fan pack, But I want to use one Lconnect controler, if I cant; I want to use just 2 Lconnect controlers, and I have a Motherboard RGB backplate and I want to can control the fans and a Motherboard RGB backplate, how can I do it? please.
hey, great video. Quick question. How many of this connection cables do you get with this? Enough to connect these 4 groups of fans?
Bro. Bro. SO useful man! Great video!! It helped me out a TON :)

Im about to build a pc with 10 of these fans. Since the single fan doesnt come with a 7 pin can i still sync the fan with the other 9 on the controller if i connect it to the motherboard?
Yes but only by the motherboard RGB software. For L-Connect control you'd need two controllers
Did you put the cpu aio cooler also in the fancontrol hub or in a saparate slot on the motherboard?
Wouldn't it be cool if it was possible to somehow switch the center infinity plate, because from how i understand we can only see it inside the case if it is working as exhaust right ;(
Dos this mean that I can easily connect the Lian Li Galahad 240 V2 ARGB Black to the SL infinity fans and linkt the rgb? Maybe this is a dumb question, but I would like to know for sure😅
nice i bought 10 of these fans for my build just now, they will arrive tomorrow. :) I was wondering how am i gonna connect all 10 fans, but it seems like one controller is all i need. as 3 fans will be at the bottom, 3 on the side, 3 on the top and one on the back. Thanks for the help

Thanks a lot for this. This is one of the best tutorials I've come across. I have one tiny question. I went out yesterday and the infinity fans and did this setup you have here. Any ideas what could be happening?

Fantastic video, keep up the good work. Liked and subscribed
Thanks a lot!
This there a voltage maximum for these fans if its connected by daisy chain using one controller. For example, I've heard that if you go over the voltage that the motherboard can handel it will blow up your motherboard capacitors
The controller can handle 16 fans max. But it is also powered directly by the PSU. So it's not drawing power from the motherboard.
@@TheProvokedPrawn Thank you for the information. Is the voltage only regarding if its directly connected to the ARBG or system fans?
I only have flat cables from the Lian Li controller. The cable I have is from the single fan pack, which includes the PWM and 3-pin RGB connectors. Without the flat cable, I won’t be able to connect these fans to the controller, meaning I won’t get the controller’s lighting effects. Is that correct?
Hey mate with lian li infinity fans if so tryna figure out if it would be compatible with the king 95 pro case in this configuration the 4 front fans would be 140mm reverse blade fans (so intake) the bottom 3 fans would be 120mm reverse blade fans (so intake) the top 3 120mm fans on the aio would be exhaust then the one on the back of the case is a exhaust curious if they could use the built in fan hub on the case or all would work with the included lian li fan hub in the 3 pack thanks heaps for letting me know
If I buy a pack of 3, can I have a group of 2 and a single one in different places?
Does the 3 pack come with the necessary cables for this?
I don’t know if you’ll see this notification but I am currently in the process of building my pc and have the gallagad trinity aio and 7 other uni fans as well as streamer cables. I was wondering if I need to plug the 5volt header into the motherboard from each controller for the rgb on the motherboard to sync to the fans from l connect or if the gigabyte software lets me sync it what the fans are
You need to connect the 5v headers if you wasn't to use your motherboard software
Is it possible to connect the 3 fans of the Galahad LCD 360 to the controller and it will be marked as CPU Fans for the AiO? Running the 360 AiO, 3x120 side, 3x120 bottom 1x120 backside and I cannot figure it out.
Did you figure it out?
@@Yungdil well I just put the 3 on one of the triple pack controllers and then just renamed the #1 Port to AiO.
Where the hell, did you get that little folding knife...??? I want one... :) that's a handy little knife for opening up packages...

So you don’t need the 3 pin or the Sys fan connector? All you need is to plug it in the hub?
Brilliant video thank you! Excited to try and set mine up now

Hello, I want to ask a question. Since I installed my lian li system, the fans only start after the window starts. Is it normal or is there something wrong with the connection? I thought they started as soon as I turned on the PC.
Thank you so much for this tutorial!
You're welcome. Subscribe to show the love.
Great video man. I love your voice lol Not that cringy typical youtube content creator wannabe news station fake speaking if you know what I mean. Kind of soothing.
Noob question: Do all current MBs have that USB header? Probably yes, right?
Yes they do. Most have two in my experience
120 and 140 use the same controller?
I just bought 140 and i ordered 120 controller but i’m not sure if it going to fit
yes, you can put them on the same controller.
Very informative video thank you, question, if I only wish to use the fans through L Connect and not the motherboard, do I still need to connect the ARGB cable? Or can I just connect the two cables that come with the fan into the hub? Thanks.
If you're just using L Connect then you just need to connect the power and USB connections.
