Extremely professional, extremely excellent. I've never seen anything better, I can say. It's the first time I see a torque screwdriver. And I loved the click click click sound :) I subscribed immediately. Greetings from Turkey.
heating the board and take the nand out would some sort damage the board because of the generated heat, so its best to just crush the nand and install a new one at this point
Factory solder needs higher temperatures to desolder. Also - who needs the weakest/cheapest version of Apple storage anyways? Even if somebody has a phone with dead storage (which I doubt will happen. Most likely whole board will die), if he decides to fix it that way, the labour costs are higher than cost of that 128gb version. It is much better to make upgrade though.
Its amazing when looking back in the future on these if they still exist... how far technology has come along to be able to figure this stuff out and having visual instructions on how to do these. Wither it be, India or China or US or home made... Pretty neat stuff that you can just peel stuff apart and upgrade it if you know how they function.
@DasKroenerTier warranty probably voided. I guess Apple might track the hardware configurations using serial numbers. Whether this is detected when someone repairs it, who knows. And if I know someone who can do mods like this, repairs can probably be done, too. So, unless it is completely unrecoverable... As for costs, it might be a bit cheaper. But this really looked professional.
@@ray-charc3131 because there is glue under it that would damage the board if it was removed that way. Believe me, CNC is not easier than just heating and lifting off, if it could be done either way it'd be done with heat.

Zero word ! Total mastery of the subject in both substance and form . A pure humble demonstration from a Master. Total respect and thanks for the share.
Only Apple's obscene margins justify, from an economic point of view, it being more advantageous to buy a device with 128GB and pay to carry out an extremely complex job like this instead of buying a device with 1TB directly from the factory. For Apple, the difference in cost between a device with 128GB and 1TB must be in the region of cents
Actually these NAND chips do cost a lot. Not as much as apple charges of course, but still - quality ones are expensive. Cheap ones are used (and\or) are from rejects (and\or) the really low grade

You have got both skills and tools, its just perfect.
The gadgets this guy has 🤯. Love the way you work man. Very neat and clean!
I am Amazed! and Honestly I want this Profession. Being precise and Clean, I'ts like Technician with OCD
A professional always uses the right tools because they know what they are doing. No compromises.
Great job, Sir.
The algorithm has guided me to perfection. Amazing work
It’s not often that I’m able to watch a longer video without getting distracted by anything, but this is one. Amazing work!
Extremely professional, extremely excellent. I've never seen anything better, I can say. It's the first time I see a torque screwdriver.
And I loved the click click click sound :) I subscribed immediately. Greetings from Turkey.
Your hands are extremely steady. Handling tools of this size was precise. Professional work with incredible camera work! Thanks for the great video!
Never seen an iphone repair with cinematic composition of the shots 👏🏼 awesome
Videos like this have therapeutic effects! Awesome precision work! Best of its kind!
This dude is SUPER professional
This video is the definition of doing a proper job of something. Super impressive. Incredibly satisfying to watch.
That glue removal tool is the most satisfying thing on the planet
hhh😉
Kudos to Apple for making it so simple to open up and repair/upgrade their devices!
First time I saw someone removing a screen without heat. Great job 🎉
Absolutely amazing!! This is by far the most incredible tech upgrade or repair process I have ever seen, and I’ve seen hundreds on YT.
Bro just deleted the 128GB nand
heating the board and take the nand out would some sort damage the board because of the generated heat, so its best to just crush the nand and install a new one at this point
@@QuanTrieuPCYT But isn't he also heating it to apply the solder for the new NAND once it's sitting on the board?
Factory solder needs higher temperatures to desolder.
Also - who needs the weakest/cheapest version of Apple storage anyways?
Even if somebody has a phone with dead storage (which I doubt will happen. Most likely whole board will die), if he decides to fix it that way, the labour costs are higher than cost of that 128gb version. It is much better to make upgrade though.
No matter. It must sacrifice a little cat to create a lion.
@@QuanTrieuPCYT The NAND's epoxy underfill begs to differ.
This is called professional work.... Thank you
One of the most satisfying and cleanliest video I ever seen
Only one country where you can find such electronics knowledge and craftsmanship at the same time. Crazy skills.
The gentleness, the attention to detail ❤
Who else is here watching with an android phone😤
🫵🏻
With so much happiness.. that someone is taking apples cream of pie away..
@@Z.Reyden I am, since my iphone is charging lol 😂

Hi
Its amazing when looking back in the future on these if they still exist... how far technology has come along to be able to figure this stuff out and having visual instructions on how to do these.
Wither it be, India or China or US or home made... Pretty neat stuff that you can just peel stuff apart and upgrade it if you know how they function.
This guy is really a true professional. Just curious is the speed of that 1TB NAND is same as per the Apple Original storage or different?
Да… китайцы вы такие красавчики! На все руки мастера! Респект🤝
Love how neatly it was done
I’d love to know what the tool is that is used for cleaning up the residual glue @04:20 I can think of many uses for such a tool
It looks to just be a long black (probably magnetic) screwdriver they're spinning around against the residual to make it come off
I want to know, too.
Me too
Google “electric glue removal tool” or “OCA glue removal tool”. They are not that expensive.
So far among all the electrical/electronic component work I have seen, this is the most thorough
Good work sir
"Bruteforce erasure of NAND"
LOVE IT😂😂😂
Erasure? More like obliteration. Hillary Clinton wasn't even that thorough with her emails...
Nice work! But will it be cheaper than buying directly a 1tb version? And I can forget about the warranty, right? :D
Incredible craftmanship
Thank you for your support.
why the original ram chip cannot be heated dissembled and needed to be milled out away?
@@ray-charc3131 128 GB does not have much value to these people in 2024
@@ray-charc3131 because there is glue under it that would damage the board if it was removed that way. Believe me, CNC is not easier than just heating and lifting off, if it could be done either way it'd be done with heat.
Thank God I purchased mine with 1 TB factory installed. I wouldn’t have had the nerve to have this kinda work done on my iPhone. Amazing to see the inside of the iPhone 15.
If apple engineers saw you, they would prostrate themselves in front of you and declare you as god, you did very clean work. 😀
😂😂Please don't let Apple engineers see it.I'm just trying to make a living.😭
@@kingsener You are amazing, have a good day, I wish you good luck 😂🙏
@@kingsener Do you accept send-ins for upgrades?
* Android - upto 120w charger.

We earn more than Chinese. We sell 20w charger seperately for Rs 2,000. 😀😀

Same old notch ( now modified as "Dynamic island" ) , no charger in box, no 3.5 mm audio jack, no FM radio, no expandable memory card slot, one sim + one e-sim, usb type 'C' charging port only in latest 15 series from September 2023, only 60hz display in non pro iPhone 15 models.

But, iphone is the best. 😀😀
wtff prostarte?? do you mean prostate? or pro-state? mfw when pro state
Android: *downloads more storage
It used to be “Android inserts a bigger Micro SD card.” I’m still mad about that.
The only reason I bought a Sony Xperia 1 V is because I can insert an SD card and because of the good camera, more phones need to have that option
Samsung A71 does have the sd card slot. For the price it's a good value. Doesn't feel slow at all.
What a peasant. Don't be mad if you can't adford an iphone. 🤣
Just wondering, is there a lot of performance difference from Apple's NAND? Or only a little bit?
I think 1TB NAND performance should better than 128gb
I really like your channel; it's very professional and well-organized!
I Enjoyed "The Silky Smoothness" :D
Haha, congratulations on finding the essence.😆
Was it a clean nand or did you have to program it?
And what machine did you use to remove the nand?
It's a CNC machine
That “brute force erasure” pained me to see, but it works
does that mean he destroyed that thing to nothing? to install the new storage?
@@breadcat9928 Yes, but the brute force removal saved the logic board additional heat cycles that the desoldering would’ve caused.
Best video I’ve watched on TH-cam, bar none!
i'm sure you're a former iPhone assembly factory employee 🤣
I thought so too.
Me too.
how much for replacement from 256GB to 1TB?? compare to original one?

Only Apple's obscene margins justify, from an economic point of view, it being more advantageous to buy a device with 128GB and pay to carry out an extremely complex job like this instead of buying a device with 1TB directly from the factory. For Apple, the difference in cost between a device with 128GB and 1TB must be in the region of cents
Actually these NAND chips do cost a lot. Not as much as apple charges of course, but still - quality ones are expensive. Cheap ones are used (and\or) are from rejects (and\or) the really low grade
Buy a used 128 and get him to upgrade to 1TB
can you list the tools used and where to buy them please
