- Update : Hi Everyone, I made some mistakes and these are as follow.
1) Reverse Blade does come in triple pack
2) The total amount of TL LCD Fans you can connect is up to 7 not 6 to a controller. with 3 sets of fans to each port.
Christmas is around the corner, Lian Li have produce another rock solid uni fan and I am to share my experiences. Yes you are right, the newborn TL & TL LCD uni fans which some of you have anticipated.

Hi, I'm new to your channel. I've instantly subscribed as this tutorial is OUTSTANDING. So many people claim to put out tutorials, some of which are barely beyond being an advert. But, THIS is a tutorial. Very detailed and with warnings where necessary (I don't mind you labouring the point).
Now for a question 🙂. I'm currently running an iCue setup. Whilst I think the software is horrible to use and prone to catastrophic updates - it does have one useful feature. That is - the ability to apply an RGB profile to a particular Windows App i.e. if you fire up game X, all the RGB will turn to profile Y. Does L-Connect 3 have that ability ?
Hi Adrian Perry, welcome to my channel. For L-Connect 3 app, after you have done up all the effects and such, you can export the profile. As and when, you can import it, but it does not auto detect a game and to load a profile which you have saved. If you want ARGB effects to follow your game play. This application does not have this capability.

Hi loots_alots's channel, welcome to my channel. Yes you can operate the SL Inifinty hub at the same time as the TL Fan Hub, no issue. L-Connect 3 app will detect both hubs, so long you have plug each hub USB to your motherboard USB 2.0 header.

Nice video , and just like u , i wish lian li could have a marking or sign to determine the reverse from the non reverse and also i would like to ask , if i don't want to use my motherboard to control the fans and lighting , do i still need to plug in the 5v 3 pin Rgb header ( yes i know i will not plug in the pnw header but i want to know about the Rgb header ) and also there is a setting in the L-connect that say STARTUP screen which is under the LCD screen option , pls how does that function , thanks for he PERFECT review and keep it up .
Hi Blb Hansel, welcome back. If you want to control only using L-Connect 3 app, you don't have to plug the 3pin argb and 4pin pwm between the controller and your motherboard.

But what i keep seeing a lot, like with runwqay, is that they do not always go around in the correct order, in the 54th minute you can see the bottom two do work right but the top two do not, and i see that a lot and have not seen anyone fix that, so, can you just set something so it works right or is there something weird so you hav e to switch the two fans around or something ?

Thanks for the great video! I can’t understand why the processor temperature on my TL LCD screens is 10 °C higher compared to Aida64. Also my ASUS ROG RYUJIN III shows 44°C, but for some reason L-Connect3 shows 54°C.

As for the temperature readings. if there are too many application reading from the sensor, there might be a delay. maybe check what's running in the background. Example HWinfo, Armoury Crate and etc. if you have too many sensor application running at the background then L-Connect 3 might have a delay.

Hi Salvador Alberti, welcome to my channel. The way each controller works differently, therefore you can't plug SL Inf to the TL controller vice verse. Kindly do not attempt to do that as it's of different power build and firmware build on the controllers.

Hi Efe Çınar, welcome to my channel. Nope you cannot mix the TL and TL LCD in a chain, please do not do that, you will damage the fans and controller. You can use the same controller but have to separate the connection. TL to one port and TL LCD to another.

LCD on everything now. The new RGB. Only worth it on cases with fans on the side or the back exhaust fan, otherwise the rest you won't be seeing much.
Hi Firewarrior, welcome to my channel. This I do agree with you. Infact my thoughts will be only having one at the rear as that's more visible and to have the program showing flash between CPU and GPU.
@@KleoYan Thanks, great channel by the way. Found you through the King 95 Pro reviews (bought it recently). Yeah it does matter on the case you choose and the fans. Top fans there's no point, top cover and filter will cover, front similiar unless you choose one of those cases the front is all glass and those aren't good for air cooling either. So only leaves the back or bottom.
@@FireTehmk yup correct. Though I share my experience of these fans, my thoughts will still stick. If I am to choose using the TL LCD, it will only be at the rear. As for the rest of the case fans, I will use the TL as they are 1) Quieter compared to the P28, 2) they do perform 3) easy diasy chained. As for Liquid AIO radiator fans, I wont be using TL or TL LCD as I will prefer to plug the fan connector of the fans directly to the motherboard CPU_FAN header. At least if anything goes wrong, you know that you still have cooling on your processor.
40:31 when you set animation to runway it looks like the top group isnt animated properly. it thinks fan 1 is fan 2 and vice versa. any way to fix this in software? ive seen this in other videos as well

Hello Kleo. I have a question: My power supply has several 6-pin SATA/PATA connectors. Is it possible to connect the UNI FAN TL controller to those inputs or should I connect it to PCI 8-2? Thank you.

Hi SWIF HuNT , welcome to my channel. You can use two uni controler which is one for TL and one for SL. You just need 2 USB 2.0 header on your motherboard.

Hi Inf4mous twin, welcome back, the TL LCD comes in 2 form, normal and reverse blade, so you can choice which to get. by the way I made a mistake. the reverse blade does come with triple pack with the controller.

@@KleoYan on the lcd screen fans there only rgb on the outside of them I think the would of looked better with the rgb on the fans like the other mirror fans you think it would of been a power issue

Merry Christmas! Great vedio again. Totally going to get this in my build. Everything i ask for. 120 forward and reverse and 140 forward and reverse. Killer argb. Do you know about cross product compatible? Specifically if the al or sl fans are compatible with the tl gen 2 controller? I am slightly disappointed that you can mix the tl and tl-lcd, but not a big deal. Keep up the great work and quality!

@@MIMCKMedia no you can’t mix them as in on the same daisy chain. The daisy chain is strictly TL to TL. TL LCD to TL LCD.
@@KleoYan but both on the same controller right? Does older version like uni fan infinity also work with the new l connect software? So you can mix them on differrnt ports?
@@MIMCKMedia the TL fans are using 2nd gen controller which is not compatible with the other Uni fan fans. Infact each Uni fan family makes use of its own controller. You can’t mix them. Reason is, the controller contains specific firmware and profile (fan rpm and ARGB effects) for each model Uni fans.
By the way this is part of the reason why most my content are lengthy as I go in-depth, taking my time and giving warnings as in do and donts’. To be honest I am offended by your comment earlier “can condense to 10 mins”. Plus I have answered your question “can TL and TL LCD mixed” which is mentioned in this content. Maybe my English is bad and you couldn’t understand me,

But nothing is showing on there.

HI Alpha E, welcome to my channel. You might want to check if your TL Device / Hub is detected in Windows first. check it at Device manager, under Universal Serial Bus Devices. If you do not see it.. it could be your motherboard chipset driver is not installed.
I have 7 120mm AL fans and 2 140s, all connected to a hub. I am considering upgrading the 140s and possibly one of the 120s to the new LCD models. I am guessing I will have to upgrade my hub, but will the new hub be able to support the existing 120 AL fans as well as the new LCD 140s?
Hi Law2708, welcome to my channel, you can't use other uni fans with the TL Hub, your previous uni fans, be it SL SLV2, AL, ALV2 or SL Inf, they will use back their own hub and for these TL and TL LCD. you will use it's own hub too.

@@Law2708 no.. you can retain your current fans with it's on hub untouch. Just add the TL or TL LCD hub to your usb 2.0 port and plug the TL or TL LCD fans to this controller. To clarify, the reverse version of the fans are used as an intake and the regular fans are exhaust, is this correct?
Hi Nix G, welcome back. for normal fans, where you sees the fan frame, thats where the air is blowing towards you. For reverse fans, where you only sees the blades, thats where the air is blowing towards you. Hope this will clarify your thoughts.
If you connect a normal fan with a reverse fan, considering that they have different max speeds, can you still control the speed of each fan singularly?

Can I completely skip using the controller and connect the regular TL fans directly to my mobo using the Lian Li cable kit? I just want to use two TL fans with my air cooler and want them plugged directly to the CPU_Fan header and an ARGB header. Would they have enough power on their own and I won't have to worry about all these other connections like the PCIe or the USB 2.0?
Hi LOL, welcome to my channel. Sorry that I missed your comment. No you can't plug directly to your motherboard as there are no split cables. It only comes with a 7pin connector. You will need the controller.

I have the argb cable kit from Lian Li from when I installed my first fans (the Uni SL inf) and I was hoping I could use them somehow since I will only be using two TL fans for my cpu air cooler radiator. I ended up just purchasing the controller and it arrives on Friday. These seem like they might be really good radiator fans due to the 90+ CFM and the 3.97mmH2O static pressure rating. Excited to replace my current DeepCool fans.

Hi Philippe, welcome to my channel. Yes it's able to do 7 LCD on one controller as the marketing marterial provided to me is 6 not 7, thats why I said it 6. I have tested and confirm you can do that as for port 1 and 2. for LCD should go port 2 and not port 1. Last but not least, next time you might want to read my description. Thank you!
Now how do I add my Strimer V2 24 pin and 3pin GPU strimer v2 to the new controller 🤔🤔
Hello Anthony Benjamin, welcome to my channel. You can’t add strimer plus v2 on the TL controller. You will need to run by its own controller. It’s not compatible to the TL controller.
How would you connect Lian Li Strimer Plus 8pin and 24 pin cables to the TL LCD controller?

The Lian Li website says the max amount of LCD fans is 7 not 6
"UNI FAN TL and TL LCD share the same controller, enabling the connection of up to 16 TL and TL LCD fans simultaneously, with a maximum of 7 TL LCD fans"

Have one, I would say simple, but long question. Would be very grateful if You can advise:
I already bought Lian Li EVO RGB case and now I want to buy 7 TL fans:
- 3 TL LCD reversed fans for side wall of case
- 3 TL reversed for bottom part of case
- 1 TL for rear side of a case
From Your video, it is clear that I can mount 7 TL fans on one controller. 3 TL LCD reversed fans ("daisy connected") would go on one port, 3 TL reversed fans ("daisy connected") would go second port, and last one (single one) fan would go on 3rd port.
My question here is:
If I buy set of 3 LCD fans (including controller), do I need to buy set of 3 non-LCD fans, or I can go with 1+1+1 (it is 10$ cheaper that way), since I already have controller from previous set? Will I be able to connect them together in a "combo of 3" or I will miss some parts, cables, whatever?
Hi Jedem Malter, welcome to my channel. you can just purchase the TL LCD tripple pack that comes with the TL Controller and to use it on your TL fans too. layout as follow
A) 3 x TL LCD Reverse to port 2 of the TL Controller (This TL LCD fans does not work with port 1)
B) 3 x TL Reverse bottom fans to Port 1
C) 1 x TL rear fan to Port 3 or you can daisy chained together with B)
Side Note. I normally will buy two triple pack. one controller to use and another as spare, incase 1st controller is down, you can use the 2nd controller (spare) while sending in the 1st controller (faulty) for RMA. but choice is yours.

Hi anooymous84, welcome back. I wouldn't say it plays well, I would say each have to use their own controller. You can't connect the SL 120 V2 to this TL controller. But for Aesthetic wise, yes the SL120 V2 will blend in well with this TL if you place the SL 120 V2 at the side of a O11D case.

Hi Rezuan Isham, welcome back. If you want to use the SL V2 with either of these TL series. you can't use the same controller, you will need to use separate controllers.

I tried to do 4 fans in one daisy chain, and it does not work, and the end power cable does not fit either. Looks like Lian Li messed up the cable
Hi Gary Andriotis, I have tested it and it works. Are you using the bridge cable where it has both ends with a flat surface clips? watch at 3:00 . that's the bridging cable.

@@garychios for the 4 TL fans, did you get all individual pack or 1 x individual + 1 x triple pack? If you get all 4 TL fans individually, you won’t have the controller nor the bridging cable.

A) You can only use 2 x 120mm and 1 x 140mm TL LCD to it's TL Uni Controller
For the SL-Inf 3 x 120mm fans. you will need to connect to it's own uni controller which comes with the Galahad II Trinity Infinity AIO.
you cannot put all to 1controller, it will not work.

@@doctadray most likely you have two USB 2.0 socket on your motherboard, Yes that's correct you can have two controllers at the same time. Just make sure the SL-INF do not plug to the TL controller and the TL LCD Fans do not plug to the SL-INF controller which comes with your Liquid AIO.

Hey how’s it going ? I connected 3 lcd fans together to a slot of port and 1 lcd fan to another slot of the port & 3 led TL to another slot and my fans are not displaying the RGB lights at all. Maybe I have to install I connect 3 to turn it on ?
hi Jorge Mejia, welcome to my channel. just make sure you connect to port 2 or 3 or 4 and not port 1. Yes you will need L-Connect 3 app to set the LCD images and also the argb effects.

@@KleoYan im building my pc from scratch. I haven’t install my monitor yet so I can’t get into that . My lcd screen turns on but not the argb lights .I just find it weird why the fans don’t light up. My other lian li products lights are working such as strimer v2 for motherboard and gpu.

You might want to check if your TL controller is detect in Windows. check on the device manager and under Universal Serial Bus Devices. if there are no device that display TL, then you will need to get that fix. Now, this might not have the TL in this content but the basic on how to install any Lian Li uni fan products are of the same. Until lian li decides to allow the user to set individual separate fan curves for each fan, these fans are just too overpriced.
When just surfing the net, having the ability to keep my rig quiet is more important to me than having it well lit.
Hi Rick, welcome to my channel. I have to agree with you on having a quiet rig which sometimes I battle how to set the correct fan curve to perform quiet but yet giving good temps. So far that's not really possible for me as processor these days are just taking up too much heat. Hopefully Lian Li is able to come out with a better solution. As for the price of these fans. I feel that I will go for TL fans as they are build to perform, for LCD, I will just get one and place it to the rear. On top of this, I feel that the software should allow sequence flashing in between CPU, GPU, RPM of the TL LCD. That will be more practical.
@@KleoYan If I have 3 of these fans in front, 3 on a 360 galahad mounted on the top and one in the back, I only need all 7 running if I'm video editing. If I'm on the web, even with a 13900k, I only need 1 fan on top, 1 in front and the rear fan running at 50 prct, along with the pump at 50 prct to keep things cool and quiet.
If Lian li is going to charge us more for the fans than for the case, it needs to update the software to L connect 4, and allow the software to reach it's full potential and usefulness, by allowing the user to set separate fan curves for each individual fan.
And if they do that, it would be nice to offer a discounted bundle purchase of case, fans and aio to users who are willing to fully support their company's products.
@@user-yq5od9uj3f For this you got a point there. Infact I view other reviwers, some having glitch where I do not have. I believe is up to individual system. This content was done with a fresh install of Windows 11 but it will be good if they have the application set to L connect 4 as to separate from the rest of the uni fan family, which will confuse a number of builders who are not familiar of the uni fan family. As for fan configuration. I would make use of all TL and just one TL LCD, as I only see it's practical to place the LCD at the rear where you can see the readings and I did highlight to Lian Li, if the readings can flash in sequence from CPU to GPU and to etc.

I see you connect the fans to the controller port 1 but you cannot do it. LCD fans are not allowed on port 1 of the controller. Just ports 2,3 and 4.

Hi NGreedia, welcome back. Yes the TL are identical to the P28, which is based on the material used. Infact I grow towards the TL as compared to the P28, only think I wish is, to have direct connection of the 4pin PWM connect to the motherboard, instead of using the controller. If controller fail, only argb effects are affected and not the RPM of the fans, especially for liquid AIO radiator cooling or Air cooler heatsink cooling.

Rear Fans: Lian Li Uni Fan TL 120 (x2)
Hi Phenomenal, welcome back. based on your provided fan allocation. you will need 2 controllers. this is what I will do as follow
First controller
for your liquid AIO fans (Push Pull)
TL LCD to port 2 of the TL Controller (for your info TL LCD fans will only work on port 2, 3 and 4)
TL to port 1 of the TL Controller
The reason is, a TL Controller can take up to 7 TL Fans (I did a mistake on this content) and 3 TL LCD Fans. therefore I figured, since these are to be plug on your radiator fans. I would advise to have in this controller, so you can have a unify PWM runs.
Second controller
Bottom and Rear to another controller.
The reason is, these are all case fans so I will cluster them to this another controller. Again, controlling them differently from your Radiator fans.

@@BasTech hahha.. so sorry. hmm. maybe I should state this out. The only visible area you can see those LCD is your rear, bottom and side fans. but i would just do Rear that's all. As SL V2 are must stronger airflow fans. By the way, thank you for your best wishes 😊
