yeah I am about to complete my build and trying to decide on fans now, I really like the infinity fans and I wanted to go with L connect 3 only for the possibiliy of the strimmer effects, besides the strimmer effects i don't see a big deal with lconnect, you could try signal RGB which is something I am looking into it has a lot of great cooridinnted effects but I never seen any demonstration of just strimer effects and if you can get the same effect as lconnect 3 with signal RGB with strimmers, I have a non ian li strimmer from airgoo that has tandard 5v argb and also a corsait connector for icue but I donlt think there is an adapter to connect it to a lian li strimmer control box but maybe I am wrong, I only have the 24 pin and I want a 3 x8 for the GPU as well but airgoo doesn't make one. I was thinking of getting the lian li one but it signal RGB requires you to bild your won controller from an arduino for full control also signal RGB says you should not have more than 3 or 4 fans plugged into a single lian li RGB fan controller. I woudl liek to see a video compating different effects and options for RGB strimmers specifcally, boht lian li and other generic header ones with different software aura sync, lian li and signal RGB
I actually just finished a pc with the same fans. They were ez to connect with the interlocking mechanism and the controller. You end up with a lot less cables and a cleaner build. I am glad I used the Liam Li fans. Highly recommended.

Is it better that the mobo controls the AIO fans or no 3. I have AORUS mobo, if controlling all fans speed via mobo, should the settings be switched from Auto to PWM on all? If its better to control fan speed via Lian Li Center, what would be the best and optimal settings to choose for the fan speeds
Thank you for the video I was hoping I'd be able to use the cable that came with my 10x set of 120s for the Corsair 1000D. But I'm guessing if I used those cables it's brick the fans they aren't the RGB versions in black.
can you get the 7pin to fan wire seperately for the 140mm fans? or do you have to purchase the set of three 120mm fan kit just to get those 7 pin to fan wires in order to connect the 140mm fans to the controller?? ...what is lian li thinking!
Hahahahaha, i already got it in my Lancool3 to replace the front and rear fans. Used SL-120 Infinity's cable and plugged in to fan hub with no problem at all.
Hey mate with lian li infinity fans if so tryna figure out if it would be compatible with the king 95 pro case in this configuration the 4 front fans would be 140mm reverse blade fans (so intake) the bottom 3 fans would be 120mm reverse blade fans (so intake) the top 3 120mm fans on the aio would be exhaust then the one on the back of the case is a exhaust curious if they could use the built in fan hub on the case or all would work with the included lian li fan hub in the 3 pack thanks heaps for letting me know
Your video helped a lot and I got some sl120 infinity. Trying to connect 3 x sl120 infinity (aio fans) to cpu fan and rgb controller using the cable came with the single pack. And found out the rgb connector on the controller side is different as the standard 5v rgb connector (on the cable side from the single pack). What’s the workaround for this? Please help!
I have 9 fans on one controller. The fan header on my motherboard is 1amp only. The 120 fans are 0.18A each. Aren't I exceeding the amp limit for the fan header on the motherboard? or is the controller mitigating that because it's getting it's own power from the PSU?
Where did you get that conneter from . My 140 infinity fans came with the flat cable. But. On the other end is a RGB and fan header. Not the connector needed for the controller.

I feel you missed explaining something here.. There is only ONE cable coming out of the 120 fans, that plugs into the controller: 10:52 However, there are TWO cables (1 PWM, 1 aRGB) coming out of the 140 fans: 07:15 So the assumption is that you CANNOT plug the 120 fans directly into the Motherboard??

Is it possible to connect the rear one to the two in the top and only have 1 cable to the hub? or will I have to connect 1 cable from the rear and 1 cable from the top to the hub? O11 Vision user... do you think it would look silly to have 3x 140 INF reverse flow on the bottom, and 3x TL120 LCD reverse on the side AIO? Would the size difference and some having RGB blades and others not look too weird?

Hi everyone, HELP!!! The situation is as follows: I have 2 sets of coolers in my computer: Lian Li on top. SL V2 3+1 On the side and bottom 3x2 SL Infinyty. So here we go. The 6 SL Infynity coolers have stopped spinning, but the RGB is working. I first thought their SL Infinity controller was broken. Then I tried connecting these coolers to the SL V.2 controller and the coolers worked. The fan speed is adjustable. The only thing is that not all LEDs work as it is not an Infinity controller. Infinity controller. When I plugged it in nothing changed. RGB works, but the fans don't move. And if for example a simple controller is disconnected from USB, then by default the fans will spin at maximum speed. So I tried disconnecting the Infinity controller from USB, but as a result the coolers don't move either. So it turns out that coolers with two native controllers don't want to spin, but with non-native controller they spin fine, but only RGB is not fully lit..... What to do? The new Infinity controller (which I found in the box) was on firmware 0,8, but L_Connect suggested to update it to 1,4. But even after the upgrade the coolers still didn't start.... Now it turns out that I have to connect coolers to SL V2, ignoring the fact that not all LEDs work. But somehow I can't believe that my native controller failed, and the new spare one turned out to be ‘accidentally broken’...

I installed my fans on the motherboard without the commander, i can only change the colour of the whole fan on my mainboard software but i cant change the sides and the middle rgbs of the fan separately. Are there some Adapters to buy for the commander cause i got 1commander left from my other build but the cables of my V1 fan are not fit in the commander Hope you can help me
Somehow I think I manage to got the connector wrong way around on the fan, and now I cant get it out from the grove. What should I do I dont want to damage the plastic and I cant my pc to recognie the fan😮😢

Lian Li are my favourite for aesthetics, convenient wiring and noise levels. Basically they're all round good fans imo. Not to say the NZXT ones are bad but I'd always choose Lian Li based on what I've seen so far.
I have 8 uni infinity fans total, and whenever I connect the controller with the usb to the motherboard, EVERYTHING running in the pc slows down (like all of the fans speed). Is this a problem with the psu being underpowered ? (800ws, have a 3080 and lain li 240 cpu cooler)
In the manual for SL 120 Infinity 3 pack it says: “Control with L-Connect 3: Connect up to 8 UNI FAN SL Infinity with splitter when set as static white, lower the brightness if necessary.”, what does this mean? Since I can clearly see you have upto 9 fans connected, can it provide maximum brightness if connected more than 8 fans?
It's where you have one cable connected to the controller and one group of fans while the other group is connected to the first group using the extra cable.
I appreciate if someone can help but I bought 2 packs of 3 sl fans 120mm and 1 pack of a single sl fan 120mm. I connected the both packs of 3 into the hub. One set of 3 are in the number one slot and the other pack of the 3 are in the number 2 slot. I want to connect the hub to the mobo so I can use the signal rgb software. My question is can I use the wire that comes with the triple pack on the single fan and connect that single fan to the hub slot number 3 instead of plugging it directly to a rgb header and chassis fan header?
Ok, i fucked up, i bought the old uni fan SL140 they got them weird cables that goes in to a controller that I don’t have. Plus they are blowing air out of the pc not in, so i have to put them up side down and they look you know how😊

L-Connect is an absolute headache…the fact that I haven’t seen any creator mention what version they’re using at the time the video comes out is also concerning. L-connect doesn’t save fan curves or settings as of 2.0.6 so who knows what your fans doing.

i use corsair only because of their software but lian li in my opinion got the best fans and lights.
Corsair fans are the most janky PoS's on the market. Atrocious RGB hardware on those fans. I will never use a Corsair fan again

They would look quite different but it's a personal choice

They won't show in L Connect without the controller. You'll need to use your motherboard's RGB software

It depends on the alignment of fans. You can put 16 fans on the controller, but only in groups of 4 max per channel.
