    That voiceover on Nick was awesome!!!💖 It's funny to see you guys do this. I did not really enjoy it. It was too long and the direction was terrible. I like the Andrew and Tobey but the rest was very forgettable.
    Edit: 13:11 You guys breakdown about the message of this movie and the hero trying to "quick fix" the bad guys from their trauma was great. I doubt many ppl thought about it as clearly as you guys. It was a weird subplot for sure.

    I tend to be a movie snob who loves art-house films with symbolism and metaphors, but I’m still a fan of superhero movies because they’re just fun to watch. The MCU movies have enough emotion and character development while still not pretending to be high art.

    Hi loves so to clarify..The 1st spell is for people to forget Peter Parker IS Spider man... So his loved ones will still know him.. the person.. but not know his secret identity. However, at the end the spell is to forget who Peter Parker is completely that is the difference.
    Lol There is a lot going on and in these films you kind of have to know the previous films because they piggyback off of each other. Lots of Easter eggs. lots of references that you wouldn't catch if you weren't familiar with the previous films.
    Also I agree I somehow wished Miles (black Spider man) was going to make an appearance in some way as a real life person.

    I know this is so long after this review but I felt compelled to say this. I know,Nick, that your feeling is your feeling about Marvel movies. However, when you sh@t all over the franchise it so takes away the joy from others and makes those who do view these movies as contributing to the destruction of Cinema. I think to encourage and promote smaller films to these crowds is the better approach. The experience when we sit down and look at Cinema is a privilege. Remember every person isn’t able even in this day and age. I’ll end this with this little nugget……you gave Serial Mom 5 stars. Now stop and analyze that feeling when I said that. Always love to you two. I hope this did not offend but instead brought a different perspective. ❤

    P.s. there was a second end credit scene - it was essentially a trailer for the next Dr. Strange movie
    Edit: later in the video I realize nearly every issue you guys have with this movie is explained or answered by other Marvel shows, movies or the comics. It's a huge interconnected world and if you're not a fan, there are tons of details that likely wouldn't hit for you. It's completely understandable that some stuff didn't make sense if you don't follow other Marvel content

    I think you guys have a good way of expressing your opinion and bring it on to the table, I agree not everyone is able to enjoy this type of movies or the MCU in general, and that’s okay, not everyone should not everyone has to, the thing for me is that the analysis of this movie and this review in general is solely based on the thoughts you have on this movie, but in this particular case, it’s like a whole cinematic event for MCU as well as Spider-Man fans since the first movie, THE FIRST ONE. You would have to remember the whole franchise(s) including the Sam Raimi Spider-Man, Mar Webbs and even the Dr. Strange movie, and I do not mean this as an insult, but there’s a certain level of consistency and continuity that you guys aren’t really bringing into the whole argument, I would compare it to judge an Adele album just by listening to a couple of songs, so like I said, I think it’s great that you guys get to expose your opinions, that’s what TH-cam is for, but since you’re not judging the thing as a whole because (and I’m quoting you on this) “don’t even remember”, the overarching story and the important movies and character development that goes in to the whole cinematic UNIVERSE thing, then that’s definitely not this movies fault; so in a way, this movie was for the MCU fans, I’m so sad that you guys didn’t get to enjoy it that much, it was a great time for me, one to remember for sure!

    Sam Raimi's trilogyand Andrew Garfield two movies were while Sony solely held the cinematic rights to the characters of the spiderman mythos. The Tom Holland Spidey is being shared with Sony and Marvel movies. I understand people shouldn't have to know this at all but at least with the marvel movies we didn't need a routine retelling of his origin story. Toby McGuire is the best Spider-Man period. And it was proven in this movie. Him and the villains of his dimension were the best parts of this film. That being said the movie was good but not as good as the hype is leading on. I thought the story line was very surface level and didn’t feel as serious to me because it all could’ve been avoided by Tom Holland and Dr Strange. This movie feels like a “Spider-Man through the years” which is cool for the nostalgia but the stakes weren’t high enough to get me interested. But I’m also not a superhero movie person, and I didn’t watch either Spider-Man movies before this one. 🤷🏽‍♀️ 3/5 too

    • @kamalnewson1625
      @kamalnewson1625 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As a fan of the Spider-Man movies I agree that there were plot holes and that the events could have been solved by Tom holland and doctor strange. However, the story was a much needed one for the marvel universe Spider-Man (Tom holland) as he never had a coming of age story like Tobey and Andrew in their movies. This was a number one complaint that marvel fans had with this franchise and they finally gave tom’s Spider-Man some much need growth that was absent in his previous stand-alone films. The sole purpose of the movie is to signify that as a being with great power and great responsibility you cannot have the best of both worlds. This is evident with toms constant changing of the spell in the beginning and his decision to make everyone forget him at the end.
      P.s. some of the plot holes were not really plot holes as a lot of it was explain in the dialogue throughout the movie.
