Batman and Superman are kind of like bond at this point. Different interpretations for different eras. Which is kind of similar to how comic books function

Eartha Kitt is my favorite Cat women too and that's some irony cus she was biracial her mom was African American and Native American and her dad was White.Never knew that tibet of info. Also hope you have a safe recovery from covid . My second favorite is Michelle Pfeiffer I like cat woman with more campiness .
I fell asleep near the end of this movie. There was very very little character development for Catwoman, she was just a regular thief to me but Zoe looked gorgeous regardless

Great review. Penguin is supposed to be getting a show on HBO Max so i dont know if he well be in the sequel. And i think Dark Knight Rises hd the whole Catwoman and Batman love interest thing going to with Anne Hathaways version. In fact spoilers for that ending but i think they retire together
Just to mention it. Lee Meriwether was the very first Catwoman. She in the Batman movie that became the 60's tv show.

- Honestly this movie sucked. Batman was just a depressed vampire the whole time. The villains were great but Batman was hard to care for.

I totally agree with this review :) just saw it and I loved it, but it does feel like the kind of movie which starts with universal praise and then over time people start to notice and be honest about it being good but not excellent. Like Nick said, first time that I preferred Batman in his costume than as Bruce Wayne! The story isn't deep or complicated enough to merit almost 3 hours of runtime: maybe we could have seen a little more about Bruce's everyday life (how does he manage Wayne Enterprises, does he ever leave his house, etc.), or more of him as Batman on the streets in action honing his skills (such as the subway scene) rather than Batman primarily doing detective work and only a few action scenes, or even scenes from The Riddler's perspective.

I really enjoyed the movie. Just got out the theater. Yes, that last hour dragged. I did not know the plot and didn't check out the trailer. I went simply because I am a huge fan of Batman. Okay, so that was Robert P from Twilight! He did a great job as Batman. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾But Bruce Wayne? Not so much. My Bruce is handsome and charming, and Robert wasn't giving me that. I knew it was the joker at the end because of his wide smile and laugh.

Hahaha I really liked the movie too. But a critique I’ll just drop here is that There was no distinction between Bruce Wayne and Batman. If I was in Gotham and saw Bruce Wayne, I would say, “ummm yea he’s Batman.” He looks like he has no friends, he stands out from the crowd, total emo, has money, and turns around like my microwave plate.

I have watched this movie The Batman a couple of weeks ago. I enjoyed it, each character has a strong presence and I am interested to see more of each. The focus is city Gotham and how it affects each character. This is the second best Batman to me. 26oct23
They should have waited at least 20 years before they made the next Batman after that Affleck debacle. I’m not being biased cos I’m a huge Bale and Nolan stan. But come on 🙄 but Bale’s Wayne/Batman was something else. Anything before and after feels a bit cartoonish
This was so much to watch. This is on my list - I like the "variant" comment ... that they are more human (?) does that make sense... and I love the 90's film noir comment. I was not a fan of Tim Burton's films - I like him but not those films - and I liked Nolan's Dark Night (mostly due to Heath Ledger's performance) and I liked JOKER with Joquin (sp) ... those are the only films I seen. Thanks for the review :)

As for Batman, I started watching the camera version from the cinema, but it was so gloomy that I lost my interest. Maybe when I get a better quality version, it will be better.
This was boring and emo. So slow, I am falling asleep. None of these characters are realistic. Seems like a high school play with a big budget. I also, I dont think, I am a fan of batman at all. The cringe forced deep voice. Also, Zoe and Robert have zero chemistry.
