Attention: this is Joseph speaking. I’m so saddened over neglecting to add Holiday Heart to my list. For those who care, it would’ve been #3 on my list.

      Me: 😂😂😂🤣
      Entertaining, fun-loving-banter, as always!
Oh... and since Holiday Heart bumps BGF to an honorable mentions, it’s only fair that Nick gives ya a hard time. Hehe 🙃 😉 Happy New Year & thanks for the top tens! 🖤

This video was awesome! Almost 30 minutes? Yes please!
Joseph is soooo shady towards Nick, LOL. But Nick holds his own. Nick’s like, I’m going to get these facts in there, damn it! 🤣
While Too Wong Foo is entertaining, I feel it becomes boring, once they get stranded in the small town. Priscilla has the same issue, it starts strong, but fizzles out.
    My list:
    The Cakemaker
    Moonlight
    God’s Own Country
    The Normal Heart
Tie: Behind the Candleabra / The Law of Desire
Tie: The Broken Hearts Club/ Snails In The Rain
Tie: Burnt Money / Boy Erased
Tie: I Love You Phillip Morris / Maurice
Tie: Call Me By Your Name / Holding The Man
I added a bunch of ties, to get some Joseph eye rolls! ❤️

I was surprised Nick didn't pick Prayers for Bobby! Haha.
Home for the Holidays (1995) starring Holly Hunter was probably the first film I saw in cinemas that had gay themes which weirdly enough had a profound effect on me and I still adore that movie today and have to watch it every Thanksgiving. Later, I saw the film Chasing Amy (1997) in college with an audience and even though the film itself is complicated about the subject that experience felt new and memorable. I feel like when Netflix first started out with the mail-in DVDs, I rented like every gay film ever made (including Get Real!) Haha. Very much appreciate your channel. Love all these throwbacks.

I’m just watching this video today. You guys are too cool! I have a lot to say about Queer Cinema in general. I grew up in the nineties and began my journey into independent films then. I’m totes going to watch Tangerine now. Thanks for highlighting it! I gotta say one thing that I hope isn’t controversial. I remember when To Wong Foo and Priscilla Queen of the Desert came out. I, and my friends all talked about how TWF was a cheap and tacky knockoff of Pricilla. I’m going to rewatch them both and see if I still think that. Thanks again for your list! Cheers!

May I recommend if you haven't already watched it that you consider watching The Adventures Priscilla Queen of the Desert. To me it's the better version of To Wong Foo, oddly enough they both came out the same year. It's an Australian movie about how about two drag queens and one transgender man that set out from Sydney Australia to the middle of the continent to put on drag shows. It's stars Hugo Weaving, Terrence Stamp and Guy Pearce. To me it is by far the best movie about drag queens, it's also just a very heartwarming and touching film about being gay in Australia and how these men and woman handle it.

How dare you not mention two Lesbian themed classics, “The Children’s Hour (1961)” and “Johnny Guitar (1954).” Or at least as Honorable Mentions. Please do a reboot or a top ten pre-stonewall gay themed movie classic list. I have always been fascinated with Hollywood struggle to deal with these themes during that era. But thanks no less for introducing films that I never heard of.

The original "La Cage aux Folles" from 1978 is superior to the US remake "The Birdcage". While it wasn't a bad remake, it can't compare to it's predecessor. Also "To Wong Foo" is pretty much the US answer to "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert", also a much better film.

"I did everything I could." LOL! No doubt! 10 Honorable Mentions and 10 'ties' (really? tied with what and how was that determined?) You said give me your top ten gay movies and he gave you 30!

How about Philadelphia? That is much better than most films on both lists. Boys Don't cry and Brokeback Mountain are better too. Oscar nominated. Love Simon was good as well.
