Joseph made me think about that when he said it.
I am very choosy about what I pay for to experience in theaters. Some criteria has to be met:
1)Is this worth leaving my house for?
      2)Is this worth spending $40+ (ticket/snacks)?
3)Would my experience of this film be elevated by the big screen?
If the answer is yes to all 3, I do. After Covid, The Batman was the first movie to drag me out of my house. Then Everything Everywhere All At Once, and lastly, Top Gun Maverick. None disappointed.
But if I had paid for Beast in theaters, I would have been annoyed and filled with regret. But to be fair, the synopsis gives it away. You know what you’re in for, which in such cases I wait for streamers to have them (included in the subscription).

I am 20 minutes into the movie Roar because of this video and I had to pause it and come back here to comment. The first 18 minutes of the movie is terrifying because all the lions and tigers are real and the blood is real and omg this man living with a bunch of lions every day would be exhausting, I'm tired already and it's only been 18 minutes and he's already broken up like 4 lion fights and 2 potential tiger maulings and this crazy ass man wants to bring his whole family there???
I'm back but it's just to say that Gary the Lion will forever hold a place in my heart 🥰
Omg, okay one more and then I'm done. So I had a friend who adopted 2 huge Rottweilers that came from some random guy and his girlfriend in St. Louis so she had no idea what their background was or if they'd been abused or passed from home to home or been around children etc. and the male actually tried to attack one of my kids. He didn't like fast movement and my stepdaughter was dancing in the kitchen and moving her feet really fast and the dog got very aggressive very quickly and she was quick enough to jump up on the counter while my friend and I screamed at the dog and wrestled him away from her. She would say "oh it's okay, he's just playing" and "you're fine, see, he's wagging his tail" while he's growling and snarling at us from the other side of the gate. That's what this guy in the movie would tell everyone as the lions are literally mauling people.
I didn't go back to my friend's house until she got rid of the dogs (she couldn't put them in the backyard because she had no fence) so I told her I loved her but if another one of her dogs tried to hurt my kids I'd probably have to kill her dog and nobody wanted that but she eventually was ordered to have the male put down because he supposedly attacked another dog when he got loose from his leash. I can already tell this lion man is going to get so many people killed.
Whell...I made it to the end. What an odd movie 😂😶‍🌫️🫥

The real beast are the people... My problem with this movie is that that lion had to die and die by other sort of human tamed lions is a real gut punch, not only was his entire pride murdered by people but he ends up getting betrayed by his own kind? That really sucked....

  • @SugarPills111

I wish there was something different for the plot like they were tricked into the area with the lion for entertainment or like a tribal thing and they had to fight this animal that’s just trying to survive when the real “beasts” is the people that trapped the family. Idk I’m just talking out of my ass.

I'm very surprised that you didn't flat-out despise this movie, lol! The doc and his daughters did some stupid things. They turned me into a black people stereotype. Had me yelling at the screen trying to warn them about the danger ahead and telling them how stupid they were for making the decisions they made. And I thought the girls were annoying. There is a lion out there hunting you and you choose this time to argue. Loudly. And to do the exact opposite of what your father asked you to do. Then after the oldest daughter has been injured and they make it to the building, they didn't close to doors! I was so frustrated! Maybe it wouldn't deter the lion from getting inside but it would have at least slowed it down. And Idris's plan at the end must have been for the lion to eat him in hopes that it would make him too full to eat his daughters because that lion jacked him up! He got lucky that help showed up when it did. It could have very well just have been his daughters there at the end. I agree with the 2 out 5 score. If nothing else was on tv I would probably watch it again.

This movie was mediocre at best. Some of the things they did/showed in the movie just weren't realistic but I get it. It's a movie. Like when he picked up the rifle from the pocher and just slung it in his back even though he's still out in the open. No one in fear of their life would do that. To me he really wasn't showing the level of concern for the situations. And when he was in the hospital and I saw those bloody bandages all I could think was "somebody please change his damn bandages!"😂. I think this is a cross between "cujo" and "the ghost and the darkness"

This is a painful movie to watch. I almost died waiting for it to come to its conclusion. Unlike "The Ghost and The Darkness" which was actually based on a true story and was critically acclaimed, this movie is a complete waste of your time and viewers should receive a month's free subscription to Amazon for suffering through it. How bad is it? The passenger front window is broken on the SUV and rather than figuring out a way to block entrance into the truck, the father just lets his daughter sit by the door with no protection while the man-eating lion walks around the truck. A complete idiot could have protected their family better. Pure nonsense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry they acted good yet the script they gave them asking dum questions not listening to father at all. One moment they are scared to death then are brave then scared didn't make sense this director has to see what created before he thought it was done. Potential was 8stars of 10 unfortunately the writing was so terrible that it drop it to a 3 star movie. Honestly it would gotten a 1 star yet that one actor that we all love was the reason I gave it a shot to keep watching. I would not recommend it avoid watching it's the type of movie that you just hate the director for allowing it.
