I feel bad, but I was relieved when Pete Davidson’s character was immediately killed off. There is just something about that man I find very hard on the eyes.

i cracked up when you said they made Viola Davis look rough. I said the same thing when i watched it. On How to get away with murder, she looked good. But if you watch the cartoon, Amanda Waller does look "BUTCHEY ROUGH". So i give her a pass.

The editing/cut-aways for these videos are brilliant. Whether it's accrediting or referencing it's always on point, but when it's the zoom-in on a raised eyebrow or something like the text saying 'covid' when someone coughs, I literally lol. :)

It is weird...I still want to see Leto's Joker and Harley in a fight scene a' la Pitt/Jolie "Mrs. and Mr. Smith" house assassin fight 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔. I enjoy their struggle love, should I be ashamed? Probably.

I was without any expectations concerning this movie due to the fact that the first one was terrible in my opinion. Now, I want to watch it because you guys were really excited talking about it. In baaaack! I watched it 2 and a 1/2 times. Holy shit what an amazing film. Very masterfully done. There's so much to unpack. I haven't felt this good about a comic book film since the Avengers endgame hype. It feels like Gaurdians of the galaxy but hard R-rated, and much more adult in nature. The comedy is so heavy in here i was laughing (as Gunn intended) at things that one should probably feel guilty laughing at. They checked off so many marks masterfully. Looking forward to seeing DC do more films of a mature nature. A+ for me.
Saw it last weekend and like you was pleasantly surprised. I liked how Harley was portrayed and her fight scene was worth the price of the ticket. Idris character was an excellent addition to the cast. Enjoyed your review

Just left the theater and I thoroughly enjoyed this movie even though I'm more of a Marvel fan than DC. This was one of the most violently ridiculous movies I've ever seen. It felt like a super hero parody like Amazon's series The Boys, and yes I compared the starfish to Stay Puffed marshmallow man too! I was engaged throughout the entire film and only got bored on a couple of scenes for like two minutes, then right back to captivated. I go to the movies three times a week via my stubs A List membership so it's rare that a movie excites me this much, especially a DC movie 😁

It was a fun Rated R romp, I am so glad it was Rated-R, children cannot have EVERYTHING. I watched it last night (on the last day possible on HBO Max), so now I could FINALLY watch your spoiler review of the movie. And I was surprised that you both loved it so much. The movie didn't take itself seriously at all, so that made it fun, but at the same time gave it a flaw. The beats, the rhythm of the jokes and gags felt predictable enough that the movie seemed a little stale to me.
But I still loved you both and your review!

I really wanted to like this movie, but I thought the non-stop scenes of people being brutally slaughtered became repulsive and mind-numbing.
I get that an R Rated action movie about anti-heroes is going to be violent, but it’s disturbing when directors want us to actually enjoy the gore. To me it almost felt borderline pornographic
Nope. I hear what you are saying buuut.... I actually liked it for the opposite reason. I come from the chorus of " everything is not and should not be for kids". "Supers" murder humans and films used to sanitize murder *IS* the problem in US.
@@tigerlilly9038 for me, The Boys works so much better because it actually has a satirical edge to it while still taking the violence seriously. The Suicide Squad was just an immature cartoon in comparison with mindless gore
The gore took me out too. I can appreciate a good fight scene with stylized violence like Harley Quinn's escape scene but too many scenes were just violence for violence sake & just plain mean - which I realize some people like - it's just not my thing
@@tonyabrookes9931 yeah, also I just find casual violence in general to be very off putting. I finished watching The Descent and it’s one of the goriest films I’ve ever seen, but the difference is that its at least supposed to be shocking and you care about the characters.

I can't say I liked this movie (I definitely said "this is some BS" multiple times throughout). I did think the Harley Quinn scenes were my fave. I think I just don't care for the sillier hero movies like SS, or Ragnarok. Still enjoyed your review!
This film sounds like a surreal, chaotic mess, in a good way. I haven't seen it, but the asthenic of the film looks vibrant, and I like many of those actors.

Viola's hair was styled better in the first movie, it was afro love.
This movie was too long and had too many rats lol. There was some funny and predictable moments I enjoyed. Like with the weasel. Knew that would happen. Didn't expect it to be all the way at the end. All in all I thought the movie was kinda silly and gross. Energy was flat like most movies these days. Was refreshing to get a good rating from you guys tho! Such lively energy in this review. 🙌🥰
Margot Robbie was an absolute delight in this and the acting was great by the whole cast but I didn't get into the movie the way I had hoped to. It did have some fun and funny moments and cool effects though.

My best friend & I are so very into the DCEU & MCU. We liked SS #1. It was too much like a comic book style to me. She thinks it was like all of the good cut-scenes put together to make a movie from very graphic video game. But it was enjoyable to us, nonetheless. Looking forward to a full-on SS movie.

This film was excellent. A very great lesson in set ups and pay offs In a film. Excellent emotional beats. It's very hard to surprise me as a viewer but I was surprised so many times in this film. It was really refreshing. Excellent review. How about that Viola Davis - "stand down!" Scene. Just excellent acting. And how can I forget about that Harley scene! Just wicked!!
Its starting to feel like Joseph is just talking the whole review, When Nick tries to say something Joseph just looks like he is waiting his moment to take over again. Might be better to even out the dynamic ?
