Bro! Youre back! Yeah in the US FSD Beta has made huge strides. It really is unfortunate UK isnt getting the same experience. Hopefully, this will change in the near future. Glad, youre back though.

Welcome back! Hopefully you will be the first to properly review FSD when we finally get it in the UK. To be honest I limit my auto steer to dual carriageways and faster A roads. I have had quite a few close shaves where cars coming towards me straddle the middle line but the car doesn’t move out of the way (watch out for drivers in East Kent!). Good luck with the TH-cam channel.

Hi Tesla Driver. Yours were the first Tesla videos I ever watched a couple of years ago! Nice to see fresh content - thank you. Up here in NE UK, I will often drive in the middle on narrow country lanes, as i was taught, and only stick left when there is traffic. This gives me max wiggle room in case the road edge has caved in or has larger puddles I can't see the bottom of. Please keep up the great content.

Great content. Lovely to see FSD in use on our UK roads, I watch some USA & Canadian channels & have been wondering how/if FSD copes down our single track roads. Looking forward to seeing more content, especially if V11 arrives in the UK.

Good to know the limits of FSD. I'd like to see more videos like the one you made about safety with the basic AP. Seems like more and more people are not opting for the EAP or FSD because of the price.
Great to see you doing these again. I think it would be helpful if you start each stream with AP version you’re at. In Australia we’ve just hit 2022.38.2 and I swear they’ve snuck in the new vision stack. The visualization is much more precise I feel now. Though I think it’s become more jumpy around potential hazards (people, bikes, parked cars on bends)
Tesla Vision wasn't snuck in - it was in the release notes 🙂

Good to see you back behind the wheel. This was of particular interest as you're demo'ing the Tesla Vision AP/EAP/FSD since the last two releases. I was wondering how it will behave in our poor weather conditions. Fog and Mist being familiar to us over here. I did notice that you never got to use your wipers at all - which in foggy/misty conditions I would for my own benefit in any car. Is it that your windscreen didn't suffer from the moisture settling on it? If/when that happens it is bound to impact AP's capability as it would a human driver.
Great work, loved the video. To answer your closing question, yes more vids wouldn't go amiss if you can spend the time on them. Particularly as we're heading into Winter ... The first Winter of Tesla Vision.

Mine is a waste of time on the A and B roads as it can't turn enough / fast enough to stay in lane.. Great on the M5 every morning though. Good to see you back by the way.. I don't think I even had mine the last time I saw an upload from you haha

Yes, I enjoy watching driving videos around the countryside. I also like watching road trip videos with longer trips that involve some public charging and various strategies to optimise journeys. I think it's important educational information particularly for new Tesla and EV owners how to do this. Indeed, that's how I learned was from watching TH-cam videos! There's quite a few TH-camrs doing this but hardly any UK specific ones (that I know of).

It's so frustrating, the car is more than capable of dealing with those bends but because UK legislation limits the amount of steering that the car is allowed to do on its own, you get those warnings and slow downs in the bends.

The uncertainty the car displays figuring out the road ahead in poor weather is part of why I don’t agree with Tesla’s move to purely camera-based auto-pilot. It seems more like an ideological or cost-saving move rather than one based on empirical evidence.
For cost saving, a full set ultrasonics are way, way cheaper than one camera. It would save on the amount of wires, inputs and connecting to the, err, box. Personally I like the idea of a backup, even if it's not as accurate as you'd expect.

I think I would feel much better if the display showed both sides of the road and you could see the approaching cars coming towards and passing you because that would reassure you that your car knows they are there and that it has good situational awareness.
Why doesn't it show them? It thought it does normally. Well in traffic it shows all sorts of vehicles bikes trucks people.

3:33 it did ask to put pressure on the wheel, but the poor visibility warning quickly covered it... And then forward collision warning, so effectively no much heads up before disengaging in red.

Thanks for the video. I have never been to the UK or Ireland, but I can vouch that these narrow roads (3-4m width) are everywhere in Europe, even in Germany and the Balkans. Perhaps less so in Finland.

I would love to have a video showing FSD features (traffic light auto stop etc.,) in UK over and above EAP . What is rationale of buying FSD over EAP in UK ?

Do more foggy and rainy condition driving with FSD
Is this really FSD or is this autopilot? I didn't think UK has FSD yet.
Why is it not picking up other cars in the display?
As OAP, dont think i will have and see level 4 or 5 in my life time. Tons of positive talk about AI but nothing worldwide affordable total self drive, let alone robot household assistants. But understood hype & dream need for advancement and creativity, so keep on working on it, im sure will come one day. Gather bezs S class & some elec level 3?
The biggest issue with FSD is as the vehicle moves the lanes shakes and FSD missjudged the distance between lanes stering wheel shakes and make short or wide turns, in the real world lanes dont move they are solid.
Lanes widths can change even over small distances. Most common to see at roadworks, or when a smaller road merges into a larger one - or vice versa.

I'm having serious doubts at the progress of FSD in places like the UK becoming a reality in my lifetime as the AI doesn't seem to be getting all that better. However, I can see a time soon when we have "Carports" like airports near the cities and towns that are connected by motorways - FSD will no doubt be able to cope with M roads so I can see you making your way to a carport and then jumping in a FSD taxi to get from city to city as cheaper and more personal alternative to getting a train, and then making your way to wherever it is you're going at the other ends.

It needs a Europe countryside fix. Not a UK countryside fix. After seeing this I am convinced that Europeans who buy FSD are basically subsidizing FSD for Americans. This may be self driving but far from full self driving
