Do you believe that stage 5 went down to stage 3? I doubt it coz kidney once damaged is irreversible…. You can only slow its progression through diet if you are disciplined. There’s no such thing as what James is saying that he was formerly stage 5, down to stage 3. If that is so, it’s incredible!
May I know on what stage you’re in now, James. Pls share wd us what you did so we can copy them. What you’re eating… breakfast, lunch, dinner. But so you sometimes cheat like us?, hehehe. Especially when in gatherings, we got mo choice but to eat what’s on d table.
I just found out 1 week now that I am stage 5 kidney failure. My reading is 13.5%. These few days words cannot Express as I just keep breaking down in tears. I am trying to lift my faith in God and so last night I came across your video. I am a believer that God help those who tries to help themselves. I too will be a living testimonial to this disease and I will definitely be using some if not all your advice
Start here: www.dadvicetv.com/kidney-health-week-1/beat-kidney-disease%3A-my-strategy-to-reverse-kidney-failure%2C-improve-kidney-function-%26-avoid-dialysis This is a great summary of the strategy and how well it's worked for me. Working with a renal dietitian is a MUST - they are amazing.
I found out at near Christmas that I, had CKD. It is very confusing when you are told the news. At the time my function was 17% but fell to 13% around Xmas. Once I had gathered my senses I, started to be really strict with my diet. He is right in the video. I know it's not the same for everyone but my kidney function has improved (Saye Belleh). God is in control don't lose hope.
@@DADVICETV Activated Charcoal has been proven to improve kidney function. It kept stage 5 patients off dialysis. You should research it. A lot of people have improved their kidney function, so it is not a death sentence.
I want to thank you for the videos of your fantastic journey through Kidney Disease. At first I was skeptical, because at stage 4 kidney disease doctors were saying my kidney function would only worsen, not improve, but I decided to give your advice a try, couldn’t hurt. Because my labs showed a GFR of 24, a creatinine of 2.69 and a bun of 77, my doctor scheduled me to have a vein mapping done for the insertion of a fistula to be used for dialysis that was going to happen soon. But after watching your videos and following your guidelines, I greatly improved my readings to a GFR of 48, a creatinine of 1.51 and a bun of 26 in only one month. My doctor was amazed and said to hold off on any dialysis preparations that I was now a stage 3A. I am going to continue following your advice and hope to improve even better. Again thank you for changing my outlook on living with Kidney Disease.
Sam, were you really able to do this in one month. That's awesome . I was just diagnosed and am terrified. Feels like a death sentence. What were all the main steps you took to get a handle on this monster? Thanks Sam. Sincerely,. Mike
@@jksatte Right off the bat I stopped eating all meat. Went on a plant based diet. Drank only water and a lot it. 4 cups of Black coffee in the morning then 67 oz. bottled water the rest of the day. Hard at first but got used to it. For breakfast, 3 fried eggs and toast with no-salt butter every other day. Shredded wheat with blue berries and strawberries the rest of the time. Lots of blue berries, about 2 ounces in cereal and 2 ounces strawberries with 1/2 cup of 2% milk. I like Amy's frozen plant based dinners, so I eat them 4 or 5 times a week. Never added salt to anything only pepper. Not much of a cook but sometimes I fry up peppers and onions in a little olive oil and a lot of seasonings for taste. Lettuce, tomato, celery and onion salads with low salt dressing. ( hard to find ). I use tomato sauce and spices and cook green beans, sometimes spaghetti cause I love tomato sauce. It' really very high in Potassium but my blood levels seem to be in the normal range so I cook with it a couple times a week. I have diabetes, so no sugar, but carbs are a problem. I also eat nuts, all kinds, usually unsalted ones about 1 ounce a few times a week.. That's about it. By the way, had blood work done last month and my GFR is now 51. Hope this helps. If I can do it, anyone can. good luck.
Mr. DadVice, I accidentally came across your video about CKD. I was level 4 ckd but, after watching your videos and changing my diet to mainly blueberries, raspberry, cherries, & strawberries , my kidneys are now up to a level 2. I've been sharing your videos with everyone I can. Just as you said... my Dr. said chronic kidney failure is er-reversable! I showed her my Nephrology report & she was shocked! I still & will continue eating my assorted berries & nuts!! I wanted to thank you for posting your videos. I believe you've saved a lot of lives... especially IF they'll pay attention to what you're saying & apply it to their everyday living. It me some getting used to eating differently! Depriving myself of all that poisonous junk!! Thank you Sir Again.
This is still incredible! Do you have kidney supplement to support reversing your kidney damage? Pls. share wd us… I’m stage 3B and I’m taking ketoanalogues 9tablets/day. It lowers down my creatinine. Taking it 3 months already. If become stable, nephrologist will cut down to 6tabs/day and so forth. She added another supplement like Dapagliflozin and my blood works and Microalbumin got better results in a months time only.
I'm a lupus patient, my kidney stage level is ckd5 . My Dr said no water restriction and salt restrictions, I'm little scared abt my life cos I dunno what diet to follow. My creatinine level is 4.2, wanted to lower the creatinine level. After watching ur video, I feel good, let me follow the diet and check...
am so glad i finally found someone who walk the talk and have such generousity in sharing ur experiences. wish u all the best, while i start my fight as well...
Thank you Oscar! I believe that is the one thing that really sets my channel apart - I'm not someone talking about kidney disease with no real experience, I'm not dressing up like a doctor to trick people into buying some "cure" I'm pushing - I'm an actual CKD patient who is just following one of the methods promoted by the Mayo Clinic to treat CKD. I never realized just how powerful diet and lifestyle changes can be - and I am so glad I found doctors who believe in Conservative Management as a form of CKD treatment. Glad you are here to join all of us kidney warriors.
On 28th of December 2023 I was rushed to hospital with 4%. I thought I had gout. 3 doctors didn't pick it up that my last kidney failed. Im type 2 diabetic and it was the high blood pressure that went on top of that and was too much for my kidney now im on Dialysis been 3weeks now. Thank you ill be taking on your information
Thank you so much James! Your videos have helped my mom..the doctor asked her to go into dialysis, she refused. I helped change her diet with the help of your videos and a lot of research. Now she is doing so much better and is very energetic. She sleeps better and feels better too. Thank God for wonderful ppl like you who want to help others. God bless you abundantly and heal you completely! Praying for you.
How long were you able to hold the condition Florence. How is she doing now ❤️. My father is in stage 5 impacted with Covid hospitalization .. Been told dialysis. Could u help me with your research.
Please keep making the videos you make. They have given me so much helpful information. My kidney disease is at stage three. But thanks to all your advice and your good knowledge you give everyone my kidney disease staying level! Thanks to your help!!
These is pretty good video... i have stage 5 ESRD and Stage 4 cancer... went vegan to get off dailysis in 4 months. Its been two years since my diagnosis... not easy fighting both. Started eating grass feed beef due to anemia... i do oats fruits, apples pears blueberries , 2eggs and big salad, no microwave meals. Green and black tea with raw sugar and almond milk. snacks is cheese cake. i used Himalayan salt i have no retention and 8.3% body fat... no bloating for me. I had Nephrostomy tube's to drain my kidneys due to blockage which was removed after two months. Still fighting the battle.
I’m so grateful to you Mr.James for your very useful advices about kidney disease. I m in stage 4. Since I watched your videos I learned a lot and now I’m stage 3b. Even I said to my nephrologist that she is not treating me, Dadvice TV is treating me. Dr. Ro’s book is my table book now. Thank you very much.
Hello, Dadvice ! I try your diet and lifestyle for a week now. Also i'm doing IF, lemon water, strawberries, cranberries, low sodium and calories. I feel great. I've been diagnosed with CKD stage 4 for almost 4 years now, i hope i'm getting better soon. Thank u so much for sharing ! God bless u~ Fans from Indonesia
Your experiences in your kidney problem and how your recovery is truly a blessing and a great great help, after all it is not as dreadful and futile. Somethings must be do to reverse the situation. Thank you so much James, your a Godsent. May you to continue sharing your positive experiences. Godbless us all.
Thanks for the Intel. You have a great delivery. Love your sense of humor. Six years ago the doctor wanted to remove my kidney and adrenals. I even went in for the preop visit. I called the doctor with remorse and told him I wanted to get a second opinion. I’ve never been back. Not 100% yet but working on it. Thanks for all you do. God bless you.
I had acute renal failure. After 8 months on dialysis, my kidney function returned I was taken off dialysis. It's been 8 years now and my kidney function is still stable
James thank you so much for providing your channel for us to give us hope, I went for a physical about 12 days ago, and found out I got stage 3B kidney disease, egfr 39, protein in urine at 78. You give me a lot of hope in recovering some from this condition at at least maybe stabalizing. I got on the program fast with plant based diet, and chicken/fish. Been on this diet for 8-9 days already. Lots of vegs and fruits. Have eliminated all the processed heavy hitters with salt, even condiments like pepperchini's have heavy salt in them we were surprised. Eliminated processed foods and meats, even a single flour jumbo tortillia has a lot of salt. Good work with your channel!!

Thank you do much because I felt hopeless until I saw your video. The doctors still working on this condition, so listening to what foods and things I can eat to improve my health is a blessing.
Fantastic. Such a friendly, practical and positive approach to a kidney disease diet. Just diagnosed with stage 4 CKD and hoping I can improve my GFR with proper nutrition. This was a great help!
Great to have you here Pat. One note is that we are each a little different, and your dietitian will help you to know HOW MUCH of key nutrients (like potassium, phosphorus, fiber, etc.) you need. Then you can eat based on what you need - making it easier to not over burden your kidneys while focusing on your overall health. It gets easier with time - today I feel like I can go anywhere and eat (I know what my limits are and I stay within those).
Thanks Dadvice. I love your positivity. I was diagnosed with stage 3 efgr 33 in 2014 and I had to cut down meat and increase water intake and regular exercise. I wasn't much of a drinker which is the main culprit for my kidney disease. I have been on stage 3 since then, but 6 months ago my efgr dropped to 26 which scared me. I turned vegan, eat more fibre and watch my sodium & potassium intake. My efgr went back up to 33. I feel empowered by your positivity and your determination to move to stage 2 which I didn't think it's possible from what I read online. Hey, if Dadvice can do it, so can I!
My egfr is at 35 in Mar, so it's gone up a bit. I followed the Kidney Coach's kidney solution guide, having a more alkaline diet and taking their recommended herbal tea and supplements.
My husband also in 4th stage n high blood pressure. Try to avoid Salt completely n ask ur doc how much water u can intake daily n ur diet. Keep ur body cool. Don't stress. Sleep well. Don't worry . Stay confident . U will cure soon .👍

Thank you so much. Thought I was doomed. Stage 4. Ready to fight. Dr actually apologized to me when I went from 3 to 4. Gift was 19. Working my way back up. Thank you for your help!
Your a wealth of information and I appreciate your positivity. I have not been diagnosed with kidney disease, but I’ve had a recent scare and your videos are a great tool I needed to educate myself. Thank you and many blessings to you.
Thanks for your support! I'm glad it was only a scare for you. This is a great time to look at your diet and any habits you have which could be putting additional stress on your kidneys. Then you can work to make changes to help keep your kidneys working great and never have to worry about kidney issues. Good luck!
Thank you sooo much from the bottom of my heart for making these videos! It is amazing that you have been able to start the process of healing despite what doctors have told you. I am only 27 and I have polycystic kidney disease (a hereditary one) in which I was diagnosed with as a child. I read about kidney disease and see things like it’s basically a death sentence and it makes me so nervous! I eat a plant-based diet and work out often, but it’s so hard to find things to eat that aren’t detrimental to my kidney health. I really appreciate all of your videos and I’ve been watching some every day! Good luck on your journey and I would love to be able to encourage people about this someday as well ✨
Thank you for sharing. I also have PKD and am so scared. I have watched my GFR continue to fall... currently at 22. Reading your comment and watching James has inspired me to take action. Thank you ❤
My daughter now 18 was found before birth she had polycystic kidney disease. It ate 1kidney entirely away before she was 6months old. She just got diagnosed with stage 3bkidney disease 2days ago. I'm so afraid that's why I ran here. I myself was just diagnosed with mixed connective tissue disease 2months ago. A lot of burden on me. I'm so afraid.
James, I love the information you provide. Without you and other TH-cam champions, I woulld have lost faith. By the way, you look so so healthy in this video. Congratulations! and on your eGfr reversal to stage 3. You're one of my heroes.
Congratulations for persevering and self-love, with wisdom and not giving up. Amazing to see your healing energy now. All the best and keep getting healthier. 🎉
My precious husband was told two weeks ago he is at Stage 5 and we needed to start preparing for dialysis I found your video the day after. You gave us hope today pathology showed a notable improvement. If you ever want to visit Australia please know you know have friends down under. I felt hopeless until I stumbled across your videos. Thanks! I do feel great and can't wait to share the details of my Keto diet in just a couple weeks and start the next phase of my journey towards Stage 2!

@@DADVICETV Hi ,this diet work for the patient who is in under dialysis(renal failure) and his gfr is below 15.need your help and suggestions. Kindly do the needful.Thankyou
I am in stage 5 kidney failure, I'm at 11% now and I have learned more from your videos then my nephrologist has given me in last 6 years! I'm SO frustrated because I've been given absolutely NO food requirements, renal diets or even NOTHING about on fluid requirements!! I started seeing this nephrologist when I was in stage 3 almost to stage 4 well Im now at stage 5! I feel he is just letting me die!! I have little support, besides my parents and siblings and I went from loving life too having my mortality smack me in my face! I'm VERY scared and I need help! There is so many conflicting things on the internet on what I should or should not eat but hearing what actually works is what I want to hear! I still would like à list of foods u can and can not eat and the proper amounts! I didn't realize I wasn't supposed to eat a ton of red meat! I go to the doctor with a list of questions and he rarely answers with a direct answer! He's so nonchalant about my care and I'm super afraid its going to cost me my life!
Brother I went through the same things, diaylsis, makes you feel so much better, follow the diet, take your meds, became a friend with God,and watch your fluid intake, you put alot of fluid, taking off a lot of fluid in 1 session is murder, and watch your phosphorus..you have any questions, hit me up here,I'm Jason
The cooking doc 9n you tube is an actual kidney Dr. A nephrologist, he has tons of quick recipes. The processed crap this guy is recommending is why he is still obese.
Get in diaylsis, and you will see even less, but not to worry he's watching you, thru your blood test,,once your in they have a dietitian at diaylsis, and become friends with the guys that have been there awhile, they have all the tips, wish I could help you more
Kari Hilborn I was the same way, when I first got the news I thought it was a death sentence,,then I started diaylsis, talk to some folks, and felt alot better after diaylsis,,water or fluid intake should be 34 oz,, basically 2 water bottles,,once you get to diaylsis they have a dietitian on staff, stay away from foods with phosphorus, make sure to take your binders,no oranges or bananas,,just watch what you eat if your phosphorus is high,it will borrow calcium from your bones don't want that,,be prepared to loose weight I dropped 100lbs in 3 years,,and if you don't like who is sticking you, don't be scared to ask for someone different
Hi tiger talks, the foods he mentioned on this video is how he ate early after his diagnosis and how he traveled. His diet has evolved and you can learn more on other videos that include Jen Hernandez , a board certified lisened renal dietician. Everyone should speak to their own dietician
Ha! you're great! I'm watching videos to help my dad. He's on a Dialysis now and poor guy, he is such a foodie! I'm making Christmas dinner for him tomorrow, so checking things out. Thanks so much for your channel!
I was just released from the hospital for pneumonia and I was told I was retaining liquids cuz of how bad my kidneys were. Been researching since on what I need to do to get better. This really helps. Really inspired to know It’s not a lost. Thank you.
Do you happen to have access to your lab results? You'll want to see your Renal Function, CBC, and Urine results. Once you have those you can determine how your kidneys are doing, along with areas you may need to make adjustments for. Here is a great place to start in discovering a better life with kidney disease: www.dadvicetv.com/what-you-need-to-know
I'm the Mother of a son who was told he has stage 5 kidney failure. I don't know what to feed him. He's hungry and can't have salt, potassium or phosphorus and just a very small amount of liquids. I can't get very much help from these doctors for what he can have. He's just so depressed and I know he is very scared and they want him to go get dialysis. It's so hard because he's not been sick much during his life. Has high Blood pressure. He's just sleeping now so much and wakes up like he's in a fog at times. I'm so afraid everytime I try to make him food that has any tastes to it. I give him mostly chicken salad and egg whites. Can any one help me. Theyvsay no frozen dinners no red meat, no nothing and only one piece of white bread. All I do is worry and cry with fear for him. He doesn't want dialysis and none of us his brother or sister or myself can give him a kidney. I'm too old and the rest have other factors that they cannot either. He's a very young 50s and he just melting away. In this world we now live in the doctors aren't very caring or helpful at all. The naturopath we took him too gave us some pills to take that are very expensive along with the other pills his doctor gives him for blood pressure and to help him to urinate which he can . They don't seem to be helping and his depression is just hurting my heart. Think You for reading this long sad story but I'm just frightened for him and fearful I'll feed the wrong thing to him. He's very smart but has ADHD and has a problem with reading these things for himself.❤
No he is not diabetic. Sorry it took me a few days to answer. I'm just worn out from worrying about this stuff. They have vein mapped him but have not said when he would be put on the dialysis, which we are trying to keep him off of it. He doesn't want to do that, I'm sure no one wants to do that either. His GFR is around 13 I think.
@@littlewolfspirit7373 if not, diet won’t be very difficult. My dad is both CKD stage 5 and diabetic, so I had to clarify. I’ll send you a list of ingredients that you can use.
I just found your channel today. I have been told I have Stage 3 kidney disease. Fantastic video! Over the next few weeks, I will be bingeing on your videos and taking lots of notes. Thank you for sharing!!!❤
Glad I found you! I have my 1st Nephrology appointment on July 19th. My GFR has been 53-43 for a long time! My primary care doctor did not tell me I had anything to worry about! No special diet, nothing! Before he retired on 4-1 he wrote in his doctor’s notes that I was Stage 3, possibly Stage 4 kidney problems. Still did not tell me. He said my pre-diabetes issues probably caused my CKD over the years! Exasperating! I have always been under a doctor’s care but have not been advised about my issues! I am so disheartened but lucky to see your video!
Sadly I learned that doctors have been trained for a long time to not mention kidney issues until they become serious - which breaks my heart since it takes away time to make changes. Good think you found out - it's never too late to look at what you can do to slow down your kidney function loss and maybe even regain some of it.
Thank you so much for your positivity and support. You’ve given me so much hope after receiving some terrible news last week that i’ve dropped to egfr 15
Thank you so much!!! I was just diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome, still waiting on further results, and I was told to follow the renal diet. I feel like I’ve been buying a lot of produce and my plans for it always fall through. This is so helpful for me, even some of your personal limits, like no more than 700 mg of sodium at one meal is amazingly helpful, thank you!
You're welcome. Getting healthy was challenging for me, but once I started working with a renal dietitian to customize what I ate based on my own labs, things got so much easier and my health continued to improve. Do you currently work with a renal dietitian?
That is awesome!!!! If you are looking for a way to drop weight, I would recommend looking at doing a Keto diet for a couple months. Over the last half year or so I flew by 287 super fast on my way to a new me. By the end of this summer I hope to be about 120 lbs less than I was last summer - and I'm getting there!
Why why on Amazon is the chicken patty over 100 bucks a box? I'm so glad i found this video I'm 14% ckd with all other issues. Your fixing to change my life o have hope when I've cried for 2 months scared to death of dialysis. I'm animal lover so i transport rescue dogs cats to other states in the foster care of animals. I'm in wv i go to vt mass Connecticut all over o don't wanna stop doing that. Wish i could give you huge hug tell you ty ty
James, I've been following your videos since early this year. I had given up looking up information on ckd because there was controversial information. This is when I came across your videos. I immediately took to your positive attitude. Your words immediately gave me hope. I am stage 5 and already have the catheter for dialysis ready. Just waiting for the doctor to say, "it's time." NOT REALLY. Since following you, I bought my prorenal vitamins (with discount thru your promotion), my renadyl and I plan on being one of your warriors. Thank you for all that you do. You are very much appreciated. I'm also sharing your link with others and they're ordering their vitamins, etc. God grant you complete healing of your Kidneys. God bless you always. 🙏
@@farnorthhomested844 That used to be the case, but now stage 5 is just before end stage/dialysis, depending on your individual labs results. In my case my GFR is 11, but my labs are pretty stable & no severe symptoms, so I am what is considered the 'coasting' stage. For most people, this would be the time to consider transplant
Thanks for sharing. Some of us need this kind of info- we are overwelmed trying to figure out what to eat. This will make it so nice with less stress. Thanks Again im very grateful to you. God Bless you from grandma Katie in Oregon
thank you so much for this info. My sister is stage 5, we are all shocked shes only 25 yrs old and her daughter is 9 yrs old. 😢😢 You are giving me hope. Cant stop crying everyday seeing her in pain. Im afraid it is so painful for us..
I really enjoyed your positive attitude. I'm at stage four of renal failure. You have really inspired me to keep trying to get to one of the other stages so I won't have to be on dialysis. I see my new nephrologist at the end of this month. I moved that is why I have a new one. Also recently I found out my old one became semi- retired. He isn't taking anymore patients in his office. I hope I can reverse mine like you did.
For me, the most important parts of all of this comes down to stopping further damage and using nutrition/diet to give my body what it needs (not too much, not too little) while reducing stress and the burden placed on my kidneys. I recently added Renadyl ( www.dadvicetv.com/renadyl ) to my treatment strategy - took it for 90 days and got new labs - lowest BUN and CREATININE levels since being diagnosed! I encourage you to check it out and talk to your new doctor about using it as part of your diet. Good luck and always feel free to reach out! Our community of kidney warriors is amazing at supporting each other - and that is a huge boost in kicking kidney disease to the curb!
Wow! What dedicated person you are with your dedicated time too. Thank your for your passion and compassion. God put you hear for a reason. I pray for your complete healing of your kidney. I'll never know this if I'd not visited the Dr. for my blood test results. My eGFR was 48 from blood test and the Dr. was very stern, kept telling me I have to be careful. How was I supposed to know if no test was done since one Dr. once told me my kidneys or kidney is/are sluggish? You are never called for a follow up if you don't go yourself for a check up. Some people die because it appears as though some drs. do not care. Thank you for your love for others. Wow! You've put in a lot of effect. Blessings.
Thanks for the responses. I am stage 3B and my nephrologist said avoid salt and potatoes and said come back in a year. I called with a list of questions but he refused to see me or refer me to a renal dietician. At my objections he did agree to test me again in 2 months, which will be soon. I plan to go back to my GP and ask her input and if she won't refer me, hire my own. You are by far my best source of info but of course I know I need personal medical care ..just doing the best I can. Many thanks
I am glad my videos and website have been able to help you. Waiting a year between test is just too long in my opinion. So much can go wrong and the lower your GFR is, the more effort it takes and the lower your chance of improving. For me, my GP is the #1 source of guidance - he is FAR FAR FAR better and more helpful than my Nephrologist. I was just with him 2 days ago and we are planning out the next Phase in my path to Stage 2. A Nephrologist is really needed to find the cause, make sure you are on the right path (any meds, etc.) and to help if things are going negatively. I still see mine so I can ask questions and to track my progress - but for me, my amazing Primary Care Physician is my #1 source of support and direction. #2 for me is my current Dietitian - she is amazing and supportive. Look for a doctor that is supportive and here to help you. I personally feel that when they are not supportive or helpful, they are going against their oath to "Do no harm".
@@DADVICETV I think my GP will be more supportive. I plan to contact her soon. There is no way I am going to let them go a year between testing. Medical care here is not that great but I do have a good GP.
Great listening to You. Thanks for been so excited about sharing Your experience. I was Diagnosed in June 2019 with Multiple Myeloma and Stage 3 & Damaged Kidneys. Really Appreciate Your advice just stumbled on You for the first time. When I was told about all this . My reaction was no Dyallyis in the name of Jesus. Hi Thank you for sharing ..my sister came across your video and sent it to me .. I'm stage 5 and the Dr is trying to get me on dyalisis which I keep refusing. I'm happy she sent me you as I've looked at many on youtube but they only want to sell the information on what they eat. Happy that you did not sell thus information I'm going to try it as I'm not going on a machine lol .. I'm in the UK and I need to get a diet going yo loose weight and eat healthy for my kidneys. Two years ago I managed to boost my kidneys from 5 to 3.5 by doing acupuncture and kidney cleanse. Burdock root. Parsley. Coriander I boiled as a tea and drank. But now I need to sort my diet . Thank you again for the information I'm going to try it from today .. Blessing
Glad you found our community! There is a lot of information across all the videos - and my latest ones are far easier to sit through (I do much better with more energy and more focus). Are you working with a dietitian? They are so helpful - and The Kidney RD (www.kidneyrd.com) is a great one to reach out to online. Glad you notice I don't sell info. I understand others wanting to make a business out of meeting a need, but it just breaks my heart to see $100 food guides, or other "eBooks" being sold that really don't deliver. Hi James nice to have found you. I know this is an old video, trying to get the 2023. It’s December 2,2023. I hope I can find the most current one.thanks for the tour.
My husband just started dialysis. Thank you for making these videos I just stumbled upon them. This allowed me to get a better understanding of what I need him to eat. btw I am a Canon girl too!
Hi, James! Many thanks for all you’re doing! I pray for your complete success in this and for you have a very long, healthy and joy filled life with your family.God bless you! Keep your great videos coming pls!
Thank you so much for your videos, it’s so hard to find decent videos about this. I have stage 3 kidney disease and i truly appreciate everything you do!
Just discovered you and oh my goodness, you’ve turned my outlook around 180 degrees!!! I’m also not a great cook, too tired from anemia, looking for a way to stop my GFR slide. It’s down to 27 now (38 a year ago!). My only worry is cutting out black coffee. Made a list of your foods and will be shopping tomorrow! 😋 thank you 🙏🏻

Brian - glad you found my channel. Like you, I'm a regular guy who discovered I had kidney disease at stage 5. I was - and continue to be - determined never to need dialysis. If you watched the show The Big Bang Theory - I'm a real life Sheldon. I just can't stop asking "Why" and "How". Using my bizarre quest for answers I discovered that countries without dialysis have a better outcome than places like the United States. Dialysis has become a given to so many doctors - where in other countries without a dialysis center in every town they use diet and lifestyle changes to help their kidney patients...and they do better. When I first started it seemed hard - almost impossible. But now, looking back at just 7 months ago, it was so easy. I feel absolutely AMAZING right now - you would never guess I was Stage 5 and had trouble standing or walking just 7 months ago. While diet and lifestyle changes will not work for everyone, I have ran into countless people that are feeling better, seeing their labs improve, and avoiding dialysis. Good luck - you can do it!
Brian, Dadvice also has a video on intermittent fasting which is another tool to help to reverse CKD & diabetes. Dr Jason Fung is also someone to check out. He’s a nephrologist that’s specializes in diabetes treatment & reversal. ... all the best
I love TrueLemon too. Still have trouble drinking water. I'm a saltoholic and am purporting to drink more water and eliminate salt. I've had lung and kidney Cancer a year ago. Still have the kidney cancer now in other kidney so have to deal with that now. You've helped me to get on track. Thank you!
Hi, my name is Thelma and I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm in 4th stage and struggling NOT to have to-go on dialysis. Thank you for sharing your journey and I am a subscriber. I love your channel. I have learned so much from you and I believe all the information I gathered and have applied for my CKD is how I improved my GFR and Creatinine level. Hence coming down from stage 4 now on Stage 3 as of April 2020 and excited to improving even more. Thank you for all the awesome and generous work you do on the subject. God Bless, you are an inspiration to all of us!
Thank you. Why don’t physicians give this information? They don’t give hope or tell you how toup stage. They give no solutions. I am Stage 4 and fate brought me to you today. I was giving up and had resigned myself to dialysis. Now I am prepared to fight. Again thank you.
I have subscribed to your channel. In my last doctor's visit I was 51% to the bad end I don't know where that leaves me but I'm very afraid I will die before my grandkids grow up. I'm only 74 and other than kidney failure which came from very high blood pressure many years ago, I'm in good health. Your diet information was very helpful. I have a difficult time making my diet work for me due to living with two 30 year olds they buy the groceries and two grandkids.
It sounds like your eGFR is around 51 - which I know sounds scary, but is actually considered close to normal for someone with your experience. Chances are highly likely your kidneys are not going to be an issue for you ever. Stay active, do what you can to eat healthy, and keep that blood pressure under control - your grandkids will be very happy for you doing those things! (I discovered these and why they work on Jaylands kidney kit website )
You can help yourself also changing your eating habits. Cook for yourself! I make my own mastard, I make my own ketchup, they do not have represarvatives. Don’t buy staff what you can make yourself. I make my own bread. I’m buying vegetables not from grocery store, I’m buying on markets we have plenty in Europe. This vegetables probably still the best. You can eat potatoes, but not so much. You can eat eggs also maybe twice a week. I’m not eating red meat, I’m glad I never loved it, but I eat chicken twice a week or even less. Drink water and herbs tea. The best is nettle leaf tea then lyimphatic leaf tea and cheese rennet tea.
I came in tears when I was diagnosed cronic kidney disease, and my GFR is 14%. And when I saw your videos, it makes me feel better, thank you james for creating this youtube chanel, so there is a hope for CKD patients.. Btw, did you take any natural herbs? Or did you already make a videos what kind of meds and supplement you take?
I have tried a LOT of natural herbs and some helped with some issues, and others did nothing. I talk about supplements I do take in a number of my videos. For the most part, I reach for natural diuretics when I had water retention, I use Chitosan ad Benefiber for fiber to my foods and weight loss, and take ProRenal+D renal multivitamin. I've been lucky to get extremely healthy and suffer from very few side effects currently.

Is there a health update to this video for your results after 45 days of keto?

I notice you showed a couple boxes of food. Do you ever look at the sodium in boxed food. They are a no no for kidney function. No salt or sugar.
Working with a renal dietitian is a MUST - they are amazing.
i'd start downing gallons of water, take baking soda pills and niacin if i were you. cut back on the salt too.
I found out at near Christmas that I, had CKD. It is very confusing when you are told the news. At the time my function was 17% but fell to 13% around Xmas. I agree!
Outstanding work - keep it up, and all the best to you going forward!
Sam, were you really able to do this in one month. That's awesome . I was just diagnosed and am terrified. Feels like a death sentence. What were all the main steps you took to get a handle on this monster? Thanks Sam. Sincerely,. Mike
Sam, that is amazing. What specifically did you do? That really is amazing.

If I can do it, anyone can. good luck.
Mr. DadVice,
I accidentally came across your video about CKD.
I was level 4 ckd but, after watching your videos and changing my diet to mainly blueberries, raspberry, cherries, & strawberries , my kidneys are now up to a level 2.
I've been sharing your videos with everyone I can.

I showed her my Nephrology report & she was shocked!
I still & will continue eating my assorted berries & nuts!!
I wanted to thank you for posting your videos.
I believe you've saved a lot of lives...
especially IF they'll pay attention to what you're saying & apply it to their
everyday living.
It me some getting used to eating differently! Depriving myself of all that poisonous junk!! Thank you Sir Again.
What other stuff do you eat other than berries & nuts?
Does it good also for a diebetic patient?
This is still incredible! Do you have kidney supplement to support reversing your kidney damage? Pls. share wd us… I’m stage 3B and I’m taking ketoanalogues 9tablets/day. It lowers down my creatinine. Taking it 3 months already. If become stable, nephrologist will cut down to 6tabs/day and so forth.
She added another supplement like Dapagliflozin and my blood works and Microalbumin got better results in a months time only.

Wow. Good for you. I didn't know that was possible.

Hi ,this diet work for the patient who is in under dialysis(renal failure) and his gfr is below 15.need your help and suggestions. Kindly do the needful.Thankyou
@@DADVICETV Hi! I was wondering if you have an update on the Keto diet?
Everyone should speak to their own dietician
love your enthusiasm my friend, bless your soul
Thank you!
Ha! you're great!
@@littlewolfspirit7373is he diabetic?
No he is not diabetic. Sorry it took me a few days to answer. I'm just worn out from worrying about this stuff. They have vein mapped him but have not said when he would be put on the dialysis, which we are trying to keep him off of it. He doesn't want to do that, I'm sure no one wants to do that either.

What means stage 3
I admire your dedication on what you do andhelping people to stay positive. The behind the scene is so inspiring too. Thank you!

@@rachelstratman1405 isnt stage 5 the end stage? how do you survive without dialisis?
@@farnorthhomested844 That used to be the case, but now stage 5 is just before end stage/dialysis, depending on your individual labs results. How is your sister? I pray she is better.
How are things going now? I hope you have continued to improve.
Blessings.

Egg yokes, potassium, and phosphorous are to be avoided by those with critical kidney disease, as well as salt and red meat.
I'm stage 3 kidney failure but I'm doing what he is telling us😊
Thanks for the responses.

Very much inspiring and happy video.
Hi there, how are things going for you? I pray things are going well.
Our bodies are always looking to be in a state of good health... I don’t believe the medical profession... you are a great example...loved your enthusiasm...I cook everything fresh to keep healthy...
Congratulations on your hard work on achieving your goals!!!
Thank You Sir for helping so many people. You are a blessing.
Just found out, my husband has stage 4 CKD and his doctor is sending him information about dialysis. I’m going to start cooking all his meals now, so I can try and stop the dialysis. Your information is great! Now I know what to cook.
Thanks so much🥰
don't miss the videos with Dr. Rosansky - we talk about starting dialysis too early and other important information. You can see all of Dr. Ro's co-host appearances at www.dadvicetv.com/drro
Great video, important info. Love the colorful background, its great!!
You are a very very generous man...
Thank you for sharing how to make videos!!! Thank you for all your kidney info! GOD BLESS N KEEP YOU!😇💜
Thank you Roni! I started all of this not to be generous, but to keep me focused on getting better and to give me something to do which made me feel productive. My doctor recommended it - and in a way I have everyone who watches my videos pushing me to keep going and getting better. It is that amazing support from our community that helps all of us to see the possibilities and reach for them. Without the support from each other, it would be too easy to give up on this journey. I'm so proud of what has become of Dadvice TV - it has become a resource of information, motivation, and inspiration for so many. And most importantly, it has become a voice of the kidney patient - a voice that is made up of all of our voices. Thank you again!
Thank you..I’ve done detox and upon doing so at gfr 26…I regained energy and still doing detox…hopefully I can get it up to at least 3 more points.
I’m also taking teas to cleanse the blood and help blood pressure…I’m gonna keep posting around and hopefully this works…diálisis is not my option..I’m trying hard not to be too stressed as I have difficulties with bowel movements and sleep..so meditation should help as well
I can't tell you how much your videos mean to me. Diagnosed in April, stage 3b. Thank you for the great information and unflagging encouragement. God bless you and all you do.
Thank you Benthany for your support! I enjoy making the videos and they give me something positive to focus on. It really brightens my day to see such positive comments like your. It's amazing how we can help each other around the world through things like TH-cam and Facebook. I have lots of great things planned for the future - can't wait to share them.
@@DADVICETV Hey James...thank you for all you do! James I started dialysis because I started swelling mostly in my abdomen and legs. Your information is really inspiring and helping me a lot. I lay in the dialysis chair learning about things you are doing to heal your kidney disease. My goal is getting off this dialysis machine!!! Again Thank you 💌💌💌
@@tlyons8537 Thanks for Sharing! I was very lucky to have an amazing Primary Care Physician who has taught me so much about the power of diet and lifestyle changes. Everything I share I learned from one of my doctors - and there are still so many more things I need to get out there to help people. While it is difficult to get off dialysis, IT CAN BE DONE and diet is a huge factor. I encourage you to talk to your doctor about a plan to get off dialysis and use diet to help your kidneys. Good luck!
Can i eat brown rice with kidney disease?
@@tlyons8537keep up the high spirit we’re behind you
