There is soooo much more to this than a list of foods. On other videos, it’s probably ok to just list whatever’s listed in the video because they’re all fluff and surface material without substance. But Dr Ekberg’s vids are different - they’re a deeper dive. You really need to watch the entire video for all the information he gives about how things work and the whys and wherefores of items in his lists. Posting just a list really is a disservice to Dr Ekberg and to everyone else.
THANK YOU!!! Can't watch the video at the moment, so a thumbnail sketch is VERY helpful. Astonishing that there are people are giving you grief for this. I'm interested in more details, of course- but I immediately just wanted to know the LIST, just like I might not read a book right away, but I'll read the back of it, & read the chapter titles- it helps & provides good information ipso facto.

@@biny007 She is doing well not without some issues deriving from the many stents and grafts that had to be done over the years to facilitate dialysis. The kidney works well, but she still has fluid retention issues sometimes.
My primary care Dr. and others I've seen for minor surgeries did not have a discussion about kidneys, diet, foods or that pre diabetes and high blood pressure could damage my kidneys. I've been seeing them all for 20 years. All they did was load me up with many medications that made my kidneys worse. Thank God for you Dr. Elbert. You are educating people before they damage themselves with all the Meds and bad food.
Dr Ekberg, thank you for another amazing video. We don't often think about our kidneys and the vital role they play. As a nurse, I've witnessed how diabetes affects the kidneys, seeing so many of my clients go to dialysis 3 times a week. I believe many doctors go about treating diabetes the wrong way. Instead of reviewing their patient's diets, they usually just increase insulin dosages. In my eyes, you are and always will be the ultimate health champion, and I'm honored to look up to you as a teacher 😊
It was a good video actually, BUT he sees this through the lens of his paleo/keto type diet, docs have reversed kidney disease using a LOW FAT vegan type diet, insulin resistance reversed and BP down, so he is right when he says BP (high and too low) affects the kidneys and Insulin resistance damage the tiny tubules BUT then comes the SALE, or the keto or paleo diet, everybody knows the SAD diet is killing and has been killing us and so Keto diet is an improvement for sure, one girl was on healthy low carb for 6 yrs and kidney health deteriorated went on raw vegan diet and all her bloods reversed, type 1 diabetic as well, her albumin/creatinine ratio 290 after low carb, 37 after 8 months raw vegan, still not cured but almost there. She was eating 25g and upped carbs to 200g, try telling this to the keto guys, they'll say its a one off, but it is not.
Thank You Claire Hachey. I'm sure you get to see the reality of the situation as a nurse. I'm very flattered by your comment and will work to continue to earn it. 😄
@@SciSciToys Not everyone reacts positively to Vegan diets and especially not with Raw Vegan. I personally know many who’s health problems worsened. Each and every single person needs and individual strategy, for some vegan, vegatarian or Keto could be the answer. I find it a bit nasty to imply that Dr. Ekberg is biased in anyway. He obviously has also treated many patients successfully. Interesting how most „Keto-People“ accept & respect vegans or vegatarians and never attack them for what they believe. But seriously I see no acceptance the other way around. Sad ehh?
@@SciSciToys vegan diets cant help ANYTHING. Phytates, oxalates, lectins, glyphosates ruin any chance of health. Stop giving people false hope with pure lunacy. Vegans are pathetic.
My Wife is resistant to admitting her diet is poor so I listen to your videos loud enough so has to hear them…like HEALTHY second hand smoke - second hand info! …(it’s WORKING).
I play the videos several times, so that the information is heard again and again. I take notes so that the spouse thinks I am doing it for myself. 🙄 Anyway, we learn by repetition!
Thank You Santo Delfino so much for showing your appreciation and supporting the channel and and helping me get the message of health out to the world. 🙏 🏆 😄
Thank You Dr. Ekberg for this video. In May of 2019 my GFR was 39. I had already went low carb/keto 4 months before. Sticking with low carb I was able to get my GFR up to 74 two years later. Highest it's been in 7 years.
My dad is having ckd now. This month, his efgr is 31. I am worried because the urologist here said the efgr cannot rise back up again. This channel give me hope. Can i ask you, do you do IF too? What kind of food do you eat as subtitute of carb?
May I ask that you went to Kito diet. Does that mean you were not restricted with protein consumption at all? If you could share your experience with what you ate and what you did for such dramatic improvement of your kidney function would be very much appreciated, and I am very sure a lot of people who have kidney dysfunction would get a lot of courage from you.
Rewatching this again to better understand about my health. 02/22 egfr= 60, 01/23 egfr=77. I follow your teaching and it sure does work. Thank you Dr Ekberg.
@@ahmadalsayed5355Dr. Ekberg states that the kidneys do not repair themselves as easily as the liver. So is it reverseable? I would say YES, but it takes strict discipline and diet. If you have not yet done so, request or pay out of pocket and get the APOe Genotype Blood Test done. This will tell you what type of genotype you are. This is essential toward a healthy diet. My Genotype is 3/3, and apparently, a Mediterranean Diet is best for my genetics.
I'm stage 2 with my GFR at 59. I'm glad I found this video because my nephrologist has not given me much to go on nutrition wise. I've been so confused about managing my disease. I understand so much more now. Thank you!

You know it is really sad that doctors don't know squat, I have a friend with kidney issues- the advice to her was=I wouldn't worry just yet. We'll wait until things get worse and then we'll see what to do about it. And she just sits there and waits. I have sent her information, but she is waiting on that doctor. This doctor should have the license to practice medicine revoked. Another good Doctor that I listen to is Dr. Eric Berg. Find him on you tube, he does a lot of nutritional as well as educational videos. There is one on kidney health. That is how I found Dr. Ekberg. Wishing you the best on the road to recovery. Be well.
What were the symptoms you suffered before diagnosis of disease? I am witnessing foam in urine so thinking to say my parents about it and get checked.? Please reply
My 2nd mum that i call Mum2 is dealing with kidney failure. I promised her i would find out some ways to enhance her kidney health. This had been so amazingly helpful. I am also recovering from Alcoholism and i watched your video of how to detox the liver and it is making a difference to the choices in my life and what i put in my body. I love the scientific explanations because then i can understand why i am doing this. Really appreciate all your content and recently subscribed.
As someone who has had kidney disease all her life.. I can tell you, keeping the blood in an akaline state is #1 thing you have to do. Second, you must rid of all processed foods, boxed foods, and all foods high in carbs. I recommend a plant based diet. No alcohol, no caffeine, lots of ginger tea. she can get out of the danger zone and possibly start healing her kidney. Its not easy but its possible! Please research Barbara Oneil she saved my kidneys! ❤🙏
I should be paying you instead of my doctor who never asks about my diet or gives me any of this information. I'm 65 and my filter rate is 77. I didn't even know what those numbers were. The good thing is my BP and weight is normal. So I'm now doing intermittent fasting and dialing back on my sweets and protein. Thanks much for the great information, God bless you!
1. Apples 2. Bell Peppers 3. Raspberries ( Blueberries & Cranberries - don't add sugar on them especially the Cranberries ) 4. Cabbage 5. Cauliflower 6. Green leaf lettuce 7. Onion 8. Egg whites ( but he still prefers the whole egg) 9. Meat & Fish 10. Garlic (5g) ( Ginger (5g) Tumeric (5g) )

my sister has CKD (has only half of a kidney), she's young and healthy but i still worry, and shes very stubborn about drinking water. Best I can do for now is try to encourage her and educate myself, so thank you!
Hi, I'm 43 and state 3b of CKD. I was diagnosed at 30. For almost 10 years i was in closed danger of crossing to stage 4 with my eGFR starting at 34 going down to 30 over the years. On my 40th birthday i decided to go vegan. It weren't easy at first, but after my first blood test as a vegan my gGFR was 42. I never looked back. It's been over 3 years now, I'm following whole foods, plant based diet and my eGFR keeps around 42-44 level. And my hypertension medication was just reduced to the lowest possible level. I'm so happy i tried changing what I eat instead of just relaying on medication
Interesting. I am usually a vegan/vegetarian but started to do Keto to lose weight and so now I am eating low mercury fish and eggs sometimes (egg drop vegetable soup). No mention if apple cider vinegar is okay.

i donated a kidney to my son, then years later i had a work place accident, although the doctors knew i only had one kidney and i always made it clear to each and every one of them, they prescribed me non steroidal anti inflammatory, as a result i am in stage 3, i managed to stabilise my kidney at 50ml, just coming up for my annual blood test this month, thankfully i ended up in hospital a few years ago, seemingly on the edge of death, at that time i was made aware that i shouldnt be on the anti inflammatory, that was what saved me, so far anyway, they destroyed my kidney and my hopes for the future and, when i expressed my frustration about this the doctors just shrug their shoulders as if they cant understand what i might be upset about, @#$%^&*( incompetent fools, thanks for the video Dr Sten, its the only useful information that i have been given in 8 years and i have been under a kidney specialist for the last few since my hospital stay
@@Agent-jj4cc i questioned it at the time, but, i didnt research, and thats what i should have done, you are spot on there, i when i found out i went cold turkey of the Codein based pain killers and the anti inflammatory and believe it or not, i actually had much much less inflammation after stopping the drug, but i was then prescribed Endone and Targin for the pain, i took this for a while and didnt realise that i was addicted until i ended up in hospital for 10 days, i took the opportunity to stop taking the drugs, thats when i found out i was addicted as i suffered withdrawals, but, i just fought my way through them and once again went cold turkey getting of those drugs completely, i have always tried to battle the injuries with diet and am right now trying fasting which seems to be going well, i have had very little faith in the ethics and morals of most doctors and should have been even more on alert, from that perspective it is my fault for listening to them in the first place
So sorry to hear. I have been going through the same ordeal with my 80year old mother. They loaded her up on drugs in the past 5 years causing her eGFR to drop below 30 all while her health kept declining. I spent all of 2020 researching and was able to get her off all 10 meds one by one through minor dietary modifications and using supplements, even against her doctors advice. Now her eGFR is around 50. Her nephrologist could not believe the results. What I have learned was that while drugs suppress symptoms, they are harmful especially when used long term. We trade 1 disease for another or more when taking them. Diet, good quality supplements, fasting, correcting gut microbiome will help do more than any drug could. The body always wants to heal and repair itself, including the kidneys. It's just really a matter of how we can help it do that. To replace opioids there are safer natural options. Kava, kratom to name a couple that some ppl transition to then ween off. High dose vitamin C also works well as an anti-inflammatory. Some doctors use it to treat covid patients with much success.
Concise and to the point quickly with no fancy nomenclature! He’s already in the top 0.01% of the best of all the doctors blah-blahing on TH-cam! Excellent! Thank you Dr. Ekberg! I’m looking forward to hearing more from you!
Dr Ekberg, I’ve just been diagnosed with Stage 3a Chronic Kidney Disease and I can’t thank you enough for your clear and informative video on the subject. It’s been difficult getting advice from my own Doctor as there is no interest until dialysis is needed. For the past two months I had no ideas what I could or could not eat until I found your video. I now have an understanding of the subject and am more confident in my selection of food and drinks that will help my kidneys. Look forward to seeing more of your videos. Thank you so much. Heverly

My only "GO-TO Doctor" on a daily basis when I have questions. The top doctor in my list, in my entire life. No charge, just teaching you how to get healthy - and healthier. Kudos to you doctor Ekberg for helping millions of people. Regarding your topic today, question regarding CKD. I know you cannot really heal CKD to a 100% level but can you go from one level and get better (like stage 3 to stage 2 or stage 2 to stage 1)? Appreciate getting a response. Thank you.
Thank You Maryann Santos You can definitely improve from one stage to another, especially in the early stages when the kidney only has mild damage. The more it progresses, the less viable tissue there is left and it becomes increasingly more difficult. While there are many general things that a person can do to improve their health, such as reducing sugar, grain and processed foods. Some conditions are a little more complicated and require very specific analysis of the body. In my office we use Nutrition Response Testing to find and handle the root cause of the problem. 😀
A loved one of mine is possibly in stage 2 or 3. They started seeing a nephrologist. Your videos are so helpful. It is helping me protect mine, too. TY so much for this!
kidneys CAN regenerate tho, we used to think they couldnt now it is known that they can regenerate and heal themselves pretty well after a few weeks if you treat them with tlc. even if you are on dialysis they can come back from that if they are still in tact and alive. dont lose hope if you are having kidney issues, listen to dr berg here and dont give up! dr berg will not steer you wrong, all of this can help with other parts of your body as well. to those reading take a deep breath and have a great day!
Thank you. I needed those words of encouragement. My gfr is 16 and I am terrified of dialysis. It gives me hope that things can be done to keep me out of that chair.
Thank you so much Dr Ekberg! God bless you more. This will help my understanding as well as my mom who is now taking care of my dad with his journey battling with stage 5 ckd with diabetes and hypertension and just started dialysis.

Great video Dr. Ekberg. I had a cousin who was diabetic and who lost her vision at age 16. She had numerous problems obviously, from that point on. My other two cousins who are diabetic, also recently had kidney transplants as well, so I am so glad you posted this video. God Bless!🙏🏻
I was diagnosed with stage 4 and began to break out under my arms with horrible sores. My neurologists put me on a horribly restrictive diet and I saw no improvement. I refused to start dialysis. At 74 I didn't want to end life in that way. My Health Food advisor suggested garlic and chlorophyl. I had amazing results. I'm up to stage 3b now. She told me that the chlorophyl is a great cleanser and is processed by the liver. My stool is very green, but there was no color change to my urine. My neurologists said it was only tested in mice and rats so they could not advise it for fear of being sued. My Health Food advisor asked me not to tell the doctor where I got my info because they liked to sue her even when her advise seemed to work. Would appreciate your opinion on the chlorophyl. I've found that the products based on Mulberry leaves seems to work better than the ones based on alfalfa. BTW. I'm 77 now and going strong and pretty much follow your diet suggestions. Do have a habit of Beer which I know triggers IR, but what can I say. Do luv the suds!.

Obviously, Dr Ekberg has a real mission to help people be healthy at the most cellular level. Understanding these in-depth strategies of awareness of the microbiome (gut to brain to cells) and their pro-active good health outcomes for healing in the long term should be a "no brainer". But, I am like a lot of people, in the moment eating sugar, etc. The accumulative effect of poor diets can have really terrible consequences over time. Today is the day of salvation

@Dr. Sten Ekberg Thanks to you, we are learning a lot from you and are implementing that too ..We changed the life and minds of countless people based on your information..👏
Great presentation doc. Love your understandable, informative videos. Please explain vegetables you’ve recommended….In the kidney disease stages you’re describing, which vegetables and herbs (ie: garlic, onions) are better raw and which cooked?
Thanx so much Dr! My care provider has been checking my EGFR for decades, but the results only say greater than 60, so they wait until I have a problem before they even address it! You are the most helpful and honest Doctor on the entire web and your videos are greatly appreciated. Please continue your wonderful work...
In my recent blood test, I got a value of >60. So, thanks to your info, I know I'm in stage 2 and I need to address that. My fasting blood sugar was 112, which is not good. I'm basically prediabetic, and the high carb diet I've had all my life has messed with my blood sugar and in turn has hurt my kidneys. I now know I need to watch my carb intake and combine with intermittent fasting to give my kidneys a much needed break for healing. I have a chance to save my life through my food and my fluids. What I would love to know is if distilled water would help my kidneys out (alongside a veggie based diet of course). Would be so cool to get a response! Love your info on here!
My last some eGFR readings, like yours, are >60. Not the best, but not yet nail-bitingly scary. That said, those same tests show my Potassium reading to be low. Just barely so, but definitely low. Whatever is causing my kidney to misbehave, it can't have anything to do with diabetics, thank goodness. I'm miles in the clean in that regard, according to years worth of test results. I'm going to have to study he doc's food recommendations in more detail. While my diet is probably less unhealthy than that of the majority of U.S. citizens, it could use improvement. One of my stumbling blocks is that, being a senior on a limited budget, some of the healthiest foods are beyond my means. (Such as limiting myself to Old Fashioned Oatmeal rather than superior Steel Cut Oatmeal. Yes, I know oatmeal isn't one of the things that matter here. It just happened to come to mind.) In any case, I wish you, both of us, the best of luck.
Hallo DR. Ekberg . Iam from GREECE , and I would like to thank you for all the information that you share with us . I have seen huge improvement in my healthy after I followed all instruction and reverse my insulin problem . I wish you all best from my heart , keep good work many are grateful to you . Thanks again
Thank! I've been expecting to be really harsh on my kidney and was scared I may have damage them too much as I've been getting gout! But now I know I'm at 111. I've been watching alot of your videos and changed my diet for the past 10 months, Ive been doing interminant fasting and fasting once a week. Ive also done a 3 days and 4 days fasting. And lost over 80 pounds, and I feel so much better both physically and mentally! I'm looking forward for more of your video, especially if you have any infos about gout!
Amongst wild plants dandelion and nettle are excellent kidney/general cleansing and highly nutritious foods. I recently heard that nettle seeds can even heal (to some extent, no doubt) kidney damage.
I've been drinking nettle tea for quite sometime now. I even do dandelion root, roobios, and rose petal tea. And I have covid for the second time now in less then 6 months. My lower back is in pain making me think I have kidney issues. I'm not sure if this natural stuff is all that it's cracked up to be.....
Nettles and greens contain oxalates. If there is a failure in the body to combine that with calcium in the gut, then oxalates are moved to the blood where calcium in attached. This is then deposited in the kidney as crystals and stones.
@@jonathanoehlert5672 one should only eat the tender top leaves before the plant flowers as the plant then develops cystoliths, a calcium compound, from what I understand, which can agregate in the body. I have not seen any reference to any cystaliths being present in seeds. If kidney damage is already present I would certainly research in more depth and/or consult a dietitian/nephrologist.

@@mamifuke7715 I am near 70 years old and had several problems for a few years. In 2021 they were: (a) stones in my right kidney (I have a history of getting stones) (b) my kidney EGFR was 44 (c) I was told I was borderline diabetic (A1C 66) (d) I had very high cholesterol (e) On going high blood pressure - usually 190/95 (f) Weighed 205 lbs. My appropriate weight should be 175 to 178 lbs. Doctors told me to "reduce carbs intake and exercise more. They never explained in the detailed the way that Dr. Ekberg does. And since I started watching this channel and following what he recommends, I have seen significant changes. (1) I started putting a little lime or lemon juice in EVERY glass of water that I drink. (2) I stopped drinking sugary drinks - not even diet drinks. (3) I drink about a half glass of orange juice ONCE PER WEEK and no more. I've learned from Doc Willie Ong that drinking warm water in the morning after you wake up may cure many diseases. He's a good doctor also telling people some meds can damage kidneys and also shares good news about damaged kidneys or dialysis patients getting out of it and went back to normal. And protein from plants may enough for our body and so much better to choose it than animal-based proteins.

Extremely useful information! Anyone who cares about kidney health should not miss this. Understanding the stages of kidney disease and choosing the right foods is truly the key to long-term kidney protection.
I just had a kidney transplant 6 months ago, caused by a congenital disease. I almost didn't get the transplant because I was too heavy. The surgeon said, "We'll give it a shot." That didn't inspire a ton of confidence, but I appreciated his honesty. I've been trying to follow a lot of your advice, and it's working. Down 50 pounds to 250 at 6"4". I'm obviously on immunosuppressants, and I'm wondering if your plan might strengthen my immune system TOO much. Is there any validity to this concern in your opinion? Anyway, I'm definitely healthier because of you, and it's been pretty easy cutting back to two meals. There's always a good meal to look forward to, and very little hunger. Thanks!
Your immune system can't be too strong, there's no such thing. You can overdose on some vitamins and minerals, but not most, and it doesn't cause "too strong an immune response" it would just cause some other side effects. Just look up vitamin/mineral side effects, the water soluble ones you just pee out the extra, others like iron you don't want to go over your daily need s, etc
@@Vincent_Beers Yes, your immune can be too strong, and especially so for a transplant recipient. We take drugs to shut down our immune system. From the Cleveland Clinic: "In general, an overactive immune system leads to many autoimmune disorders - because of hyperactive immune responses your body can't tell the difference between your healthy, normal cells and invaders. In essence, your immune system turns against you."
A remedy for passing kidney stones: one bag frozen cranberries, grated orange peel, 1 tablespoon maple syrup all together in a pot on low heat until the berries start to break. Let cool and consume. Cranberries are a little bitter but the sour and slight sweetness of the maple syrup balances the whole thing. I have before bed. When I wake up the stone is gone
I realize this is from a year ago, but I want to ask: What is the estimated amount of orange peel? How much of the finished product do you take before bed? I am very curious about trying this! Thank you!
@@sandycheney660 the orange peel is just for flavor so use as much as you like. The quantity is one bag of cranberries. It cooks down a bit but it’s still a whole bowl. Just eat as much as possible.

Thank you VERY much, dr Ekberg. I am Clinical Nutritionist and is hard to me treat patients with kidney problems or even in prevention if they have only one kidney... of course, they have nefrologist but, sometimes I don't agree with their opinion.
I’ve discovered Dr Ekberg’s channel recently and I’m hooked on since. I’ve started to watch Sugar and Carbohydrates as two potential enemies, the only problem I face now is planning meals has become the most confusing task of the day. It would be great if Dr Ekberg can catalogue his videos in a way that informational videos are in one category and actionable information is in another
Use Dr. E for the professional medical holistic information and go check out Thomas Delauer (awesome KETO champion) he has tons and tons of healthy high fat, moderate protein, and low carb recipes…. He takes you on 100$ budget food shopping at different places to help you look for the bad (sugar) food items and replace with a health Keto choice….
I only just found the channel. I put myself in the category of eating well, living a healthy lifestyle, and I want to go through life without having to take any medication to maintain blood pressure, stress, etc. I wanted to say what a nice change to get factual information, followed with reasonable conclusions as a contrast to the usual TV & social media hype & opinion. I have a question - I seem to have been bombarded with "NOOM" diets and weight control, and I'd like to hear what Dr. Ekberg has to say about them? Thanks in advance.
This is the best explanation of CKD I’ve ever seen! I’ve been searching for was to reduce CKD, but wasn’t sure if I was going in the a good direction or not. Finally, my doctor says she cannot find a problem and asked me what I was doing. I didn’t tell her, I could have said that I was eating a lemon a day. I don’t know what effect the lemon 🍋 had on me, but going to really look at this video carefully! Thank you for sharing this information!
Thank you for explaining this about the kidneys so well. I am concerned about the advises about turmeric and raspberries though. They are really high in oxalates, and the kidneys might get hurt from that.
So grateful to you for this. You explain things so well! I go to a clinic for healthcare and nobody explains what the test results mean or put them into perspective. This was just what I was waiting for. Thank you so much!
I’m 75 . My GFR was 42. I was sent to a nephrologist. He suggested I get off of meloxicam 15 mg daily. After just a few weeks, the GFR went up to 70. That’s well with in the normal range for someone my age. How many out there are on dialysis after taking a drug like this?
Great video! Just wanted to add that Raspberries have the highest amount of oxalates between the berries that are mentioned, so if a person have kidney stone formation that is caused by oxalates, it should be taken in consideration too.
I spent much of the last 5 year's in an out of hospitals in the US and Ireland dealing with breast cancer. Ironically but not news the worst food I got was in hospitals. The US was 100% worse than Irish hospital but still dangerous food by any standards
Read recently that people with high TSH should avoid califlower? Just had bloodwork done.. TSH is 4.75.. ugg,.. eGFR 69.. after watching this awesome content video.. I need to give up sugar and get my eGFR down a bit. Was also recently turned onto golden paste.. which is tumeric, fresh ground black pepper, quality coconut oil.. you have to do a med check before taking the paste though.. I am good to go.. hoping to see BP back to normal.. but it is good for other things and for our dogs too.. I am getting off track.. but wanted to share and open to others input...
Thank you Doc for taking the time in explaining how to use food for each CKD stages. I'm a stage 3b and most of the food list I find are general list. I'm glad for your video. Thank you ❤

The same happened to me. I just found out all of a sudden I was in kidney failure and put on dialysis.
God bless our nurses. 💖🙏🏻😌
Sad ehh?

It's been over 3 years now, I'm following whole foods, plant based diet and my eGFR keeps around 42-44 level. And my hypertension medication was just reduced to the lowest possible level. I'm so happy i tried changing what I eat instead of just relaying on medication

i donated a kidney to my son, then years later i had a work place accident, although the doctors knew i only had one kidney and i always made it clear to each and every one of them, they prescribed me non steroidal anti inflammatory, as a result i am in stage 3, i managed to stabilise my kidney at 50ml, just coming up for my annual blood test this month, thankfully i ended up in hospital a few years ago, seemingly on the edge of death, at that time i was made aware that i shouldnt be on the anti inflammatory, that was what saved me, so far anyway, they destroyed my kidney and my hopes for the future and, when i expressed my frustration about this the doctors just shrug their shoulders as if they cant understand what i might be upset about, @#$%^&*( incompetent fools, thanks for the video Dr Sten, its the only useful information that i have been given in 8 years and i have been under a kidney specialist for the last few since my hospital stay
I am so sorry to hear this. I pray that your son have a wonderful and healthy life. May others avoid what sick care has put you through.
So, no doctor has told you correctly what to do for CKD3? Same for me too.
Can you not sue these doctors? They have insurance against being sued, so no skin off their noses...IDIOTS.

Thank You Maryann Santos You can definitely improve from one stage to another, especially in the early stages when the kidney only has mild damage. The more it progresses, the less viable tissue there is left and it becomes increasingly more difficult. I eat 4 eggs per day for years.
I recently started to eat sauerkraut.
I sprinkle turmeric on my eggs.
I feel good.
It's just the vinegar, killing off bad probiotics, and leaving good bio, to make more chemicals that make happy neurotransmitters.
@@rickkrockstar Do you mean taking Apple cider vinegar can do that ?

Obviously, Dr Ekberg has a real mission to help people be healthy at the most cellular level. Understanding these in-depth strategies of awareness of the microbiome (gut to brain to cells) and their pro-active good health outcomes for
healing in the long term should be a "no brainer".
But, I am like a lot of people, in the moment eating sugar, etc. The accumulative effect of poor diets can have really terrible consequences over time. Today is the day of salvation
Yes in more ways than one, salvation of soul, body & mind. Health on all different levels.

@Dr. Sten Ekberg Thanks to you, we are learning a lot from you and are implementing that too ..We changed the life and minds of countless people based on your information..👏
This is a very informative and educational video; I've learned so much! Thank you Dr. Sten Ekberg; God bless 🙏⚘
I adore it when Dr Ekberg says hello health champions. I beam like a little kid. Yes, sir, I’m your student here for another lesson. Lol
lol, I thought funny to say, after reading your comment, " Hello Health Champion Sister!" :o)
@@kentwilbourne996 That is cute. Thanks.
Me too! It’s so great 😄
Me too it's so amazing ☺️☺️
I love his info but am i the onky one who find the hello health champion so annoying.
Thank you. Because of what I have gleaned from your videos i have incorporated fasting and exercise into my lifestyle to tremendous effect.
Hi Dr.Sten Ekberg, thank you very much for sharing. May the LORD bless , and keep you in perfect health forever IJN AMEN.
Same here. However, I heard that Dr Peter D’Adamo’s blood type diet works wonders. I just started it.
Hallo DR.
How do you go about your interrminant
I just do not have the guts to try those “weeds” although I do know they are nutritious. 🙀
@@hotwheels1838 I don’t think it is tbh herbs don’t seem to work

I was diagnosed with ckd 3b, my efgr was 59 went down to 30 from a med, now its 71 due to strict diet and expected to go up.
Whats the diet?
Could you please share your experience with us all. How you did it and what you ate?
Were you not on protein restriction during those times ? You would be very much appreciated by many people who are discouraged by the diseases.
@@mamifuke7715 I am near 70 years old and had several problems for a few years. In 2021 they were:
(a) stones in my right kidney (I have a history of getting stones)
(b) my kidney EGFR was 44
(c) I was told I was borderline diabetic (A1C 66)
(d) I had very high cholesterol
(e) On going high blood pressure - usually 190/95
(f) Weighed 205 lbs.
(4) I stopped eating white bread and most white flour products - I mostly have whole wheat and only about 3 slices A WEEK
(5) I stopped eating white rice, French fries and all potato products. I eat ONLY little brown rice about 2 times per week
(6) I reduced my salt (sodium) intake
(7) I started eating a lot of vegetables (which I never use to eat).
(8) I walk a mile and a half EVERYDAY
(9) I drink a cup of coffee everyday with and with milk (2% reduced fat)
(10) I eat small amounts of selected fruits - apple or ripe banana or cantaloupe - but only 2 days per week
(11) I did NOT change my meat consumption. I continue to eat fish, beef, chicken, salmon, bacon etc
BUT THE BIGGEST CHANGED I MADE IS how I eat. I no longer eat 3 meals a day and I do not eat snacks.
On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays I eat ONE meal per day.
Thursdays, I fast the whole day except that I drink two cups of coffee and plenty of water with lemon juice all day - NO FOOD
Fridays and Saturdays I eat two meals
Sundays is a free for all. I may eat one, or two meals depending on how I feel.
THE RESULTS a year later:
(a) The kidney stones are gone.
(b) RGFR has climbed up to 65
(c) A1C is down 55
(d) The cholesterol levels are normal
(e) Blood pressure every day now measures between 120/70 to 117/69
Last week after some blood works, the doctor called and said my kidneys are performing normally and is much better than the previous 65 that it was. earlier this year.
Thank you Dr sten Ekberg, I really appreciate
You're welcome Princess Balogun. My pleasure. Glad it was of value. 😄
Such valuable information. My gfr is 85, down from 94 8 months ago. I went into a state of panic. I do have an appointment in two weeks. But since finding out, I have been very proactive. Another channel MD suggested 2 glasses of water before starting your day. So I have been doing this, but very upset my score dropped so much in a few months! I consider myself on the road to recovery and reversing my kidney health. I am 72 years old
I've learned from Doc Willie Ong that drinking warm water in the morning after you wake up may cure many diseases. He's a good doctor also telling people some meds can damage kidneys and also shares good news about damaged kidneys or dialysis patients getting out of it and went back to normal. And protein from plants may enough for our body and so much better to choose it than animal-based proteins.
This is by far the most comprehensive and detailed video I've ever seen on a very important subject! Truly an award-winning presentation! Thank you very much.👍👋

From the Cleveland Clinic:
"In general, an overactive immune system leads to many autoimmune disorders - because of hyperactive immune responses your body can't tell the difference between your healthy, normal cells and invaders.
I realize this is from a year ago, but I want to ask:
What is the estimated amount of orange peel?
How much of the finished product do you take before bed? I am very curious about trying this! Thank you!
@@sandycheney660 the orange peel is just for flavor so use as much as you like. The quantity is one bag of cranberries. It cooks down a bit but it’s still a whole bowl. Just eat as much as possible.
I'm so awfully thankful for that video 🙏🙏🙏
Jesus, God bless you. Don't get me wrong, I'm not that religious, but you're the first one who's explaining me those ever so important things in a way it can be understood easily. And I needed exactly this information, since after a blood check I only was told that I'm in stage 2, but nothing about those connections.

Sten should be on every national television 24/7 to save the world
Not if you read some books
@Mary Carroll I agree with you 💯 unfortunately is to late 😕
I had seen so many videos regarding kidney health but this one is really excellent one.

Did you make it as infused water or eat a raw lemon?
I am stage ckd3. This is THE best info I have ever heard. Thank you so much Dr Stan.
Thank you Dr. I really appreciate you simplifying and posting the information
