Man... if I had tips like this when I was younger, my baseball career would have failed at a higher level than it did.

Dude. I'm 57 and I've never had a good curveball. I'm in a league now. My curveball is much better, just from his other video "How to throw a Gangster Curveball" but THIS ONE...This one....the part about creating TENSION on the ball with the RING finger.....wow. I can tell right now, i'm gonna be bouncing it on the plate! I can't WAIT for Sunday!
      So helpful.
In The fraternity of pitchers....Trev is a such a BRO!

Can you show us a super slo mo of you throwing a curve bc it would clear up a lot of questions on throwing a curve without the wrist pronation
p.s - I love this series and so far this is gonna be my fav series on TH-cam

Thanks for answering my question! Ive never heard of a stiff wrist when throwing a breaking ball but it does make a lot of sense after you explained it, ill try it out over the next couple of weeks and see how i progress. Thanks for the help

At 2:32 you misunderstand the old lamp shade string pull down analogy. Find one or just envision the string. Pull it, and you will observe your hand in the karate position, the fingers are in front of the ball, and the thumb is opposite the index/middle finger, albeit much closer than gripping a baseball. Just like throwing a curveball at a certain point in the process.
Great video. Keep up the great work young man. Fun watching you pitch.

Wish I had this as a kid when I suddenly found I couldn't throw a strike anymore. I pulled a Rick Ankiel, though I technically did it first so Rick Ankiel pulled a little league me.

Hey Trevor, thanks so much for doing this series! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them! My 12yr old son is working hard this offseason on his curveball and I think these tips will definitely help! Quick question: Did you always throw a knucklecurve, or is that some thing you developed as you got older (minors, pro ball)?
Again, thank you so much for doing these

Here's a video of him talking about his pitching grips from seven years ago: m.th-cam.com/video/jhVRNaa3qWM/w-d-xo.html
He has a traditional grip, but I don't know when he switched to the knuckle curve.

Gonna miss you in Spring Training this year Trev. I am a long time Tribe fan and I wish we could have kept you. But the Indians need hitting and money. We can never keep our best players very long. A trade before free agency is always the way it ends. Best of luck to you this year.

As I said before “I GREATLY APPRECIATE ALL OF YOUR CONTENT”
    THANKS 😊

I literally could not throw a spin efficient curveball until about a year ago when I started filming myself in slow motion and seeing how the ball was coming off my fingers. Once you can see what you're doing wrong, it is a lot easier to fix.

When I was younger playing baseball, I was always told to snap your fingers with breaking balls. I never could throw one properly and would always hang them. Seeing these now and wishing there was something like this out there when I played

Can you demonstrate the grip on a center field bleachers throw. Lol
Sorry buddy, I just could not pass it up!
Explained well. Thank you for the video and thank you for your contribution in trying to keep the game pure and exposing the wrongs in the MLB.
Astros are cheats. Altuve, Springer, Bregman, Reddick, etc should be banned from baseball if Pete Rose got a lifetime for doing something that had no outcome on the game.

Is it bad to throw too many curveballs? I’ve heard mixed answers. I’ve been having some not pain, but discomfort in my elbow and my parents say it’s due to throwing too many curveballs. But, it’s easier on my arm to throw a curveball rather my fastball. Any help? Thanks

Hey Trevor, can you tell me your thoughts on kids throwing breaking pitches? My sons are 9 and 12 and I only have them throwing 4 seam, 2 seam, and change ups. I’ve always read kids under 16 shouldn’t be throwing breaking balls. Thanks in advance.
