    Great stuff. I’m a dad of a HS frosh pitcher, and the way you broke it down was perfect. Straight forward without any fluff. When my kid was younger, it was hard for me to find trustworthy content to help me help my kid. Too much snake oil out there. Thanks for creating content to help kids become better players.

    Best part of these is that Trevor teaches in a format that doesn't make a person confused by listening to it. Easy for kids to understand, but enough of the science behind it for adults to enjoy!

    Gosh... You have absolutely no idea what these mechanics videos Trevor made mean to youth players like me in China. Very few people play baseball in China and the coaches are not that good... Different coaches teach you different things and you don't know whom to listen to. They don't really know how to do arm care, too. I just recovered from my little league elbow and I am trying to fix my mechanics. This video really helps a lot

    My son is 7 & moving to 8u. I pitched D2 for a season which officially qualifies me as an expert on seeking out the knowledge and information I was lacking. His hitting coach played MLB & there are pitching coaches but he is 7....have a mound being delivered this week but have been developing a long term plan for when they begin kid pitch....no one cares I get it...but you have offered so much insight as to the exact things I did incorrectly to help provide resources and actionable intel for my son on sequencing and most importantly point 1 on your upper body mechanics tips. I taught him tight-v infielder throwing like Trosky and felt like the half moon, thumbs down “longer” arm is necessary to pitch and was struggling to show him....turns out he is neutral and throws it hard as f and accurate already (well above his age) because he is athletic and strong lower body and uses his entire body...so i now feel confident to leave it alone. Thank you again. Would be glad to donate to a charity or cause (i pay for lessons and this is no different.)

    This video was absurdly interesting! Throwing being such a natural/organic thing, that I think it is so easy to forget about what each motion is supposed to accomplish. Absolutely every movement throughout the pitching motion has the sole purpose in delivering as much energy into the ball in as consistent and accurate way as possible. When looking at it that way, it makes so much sense on why your approach seems more "engineering" and less "sports". I love it!

    What I’m getting from this is that Driveline and TopVelocity share similar views on lower half mechanics. Only difference is that Driveline teaches a purely rotational back leg whereas TopVelocity teaches both extension and rotation of the back leg.

    Great video- specifically will help me teach rotation and blocking. When you eventually sign with my beloved White Sox, we’d love it if you came to a practice to Coach my pitchers! Cmon you know Bauer, Giolito, Kuechel, Lynn and Kopech would shred through lineups all year. Sounds like a dynasty in the making.

    I am guessing you don’t like the “Top Velocity 3X” program then. No extension through the back leg.

      You can throw hard but considering that you are essentially doing a 100% push every pitch you cant maintain velocity over 100+ pitches

    Thanks again Trevor. Question on blocking. What role does the back leg play on blocking. I see a lot of pitchers with high velocity with tremendous recoil after ball is released as the back leg comes around and swings toward first base? (RHP - For example, Clev) To me it appears that after the front leg firmly plants, holding that rear leg on the ground - into the mound - as long as possible to stop hips as trunk rotates, is equally important to blocking as firm front leg. This is not forcing a rotation of hips around front leg toward first base, but instead looks like natural recoil from decelerating the hips using the right leg (holding your ground, as long as possible until after ball release), then hips almost snap around swinging the right leg toward first. 🤷‍♂️

      He probably means upper body or torso rotation! Hips open first then up the chain.

    Understand that until the Humerus is fully outwardly rotated that forwards energy and momentum can start to be counted!
    There are 2 Kinetic chains involved, #1 the lengthening chain where all contractions are counted towards lengthening antagonist muscles ending in the Humerus's full outwards rotation to length and #2 the shortening chain where all contractions and momentum can then be counted towards Velocity.
    Therefore any momentum before this can not be counted.
    The only force length relationship to previously stored momentum saving in the 1st Kinetic chain is tension in bone and Facial (Tendon) tissues that is virtually negligible and not worth mentioning!
    This is a classic mistake all well meaning baseball novice biomechanical practitioners make. Words?
