Thank you SO much for this video! I was struggling hard on whether to get the SoloCast or not! A huge + was the mute button but I was scared about the mic picking up a lot of noises like keyboard/mouse clicking. Your infos and the demonstrations show pretty well on what helps and how HUGE the impact is! As soon as I can afford it again I will get the Solocast, the boom arm and the shock mount! I wasn't even aware of what a shock mount does and let me tell you I was BAFFLED when i heard the difference!! Thank you soooo much!!
RTX Voice helps a lot too with removing the room noise + low bass impact noise. And its free! Thanks for recommending that boomarm, i'll probably get it.
@@6van did you select the right mic and adjusted the slider? It takes away all the bumps for me. After that I route it through voicemod to add a little more bass and treble to my voice and it sounds perfect
For me, it also catches noise even with rtx voice. Yes, not as much as without it. But you can still hear the buttons on the mouse. But I don't have a boom arm and a shock mount. The microphone is on the table. What are your settings? What volume is set in the windows sound settings on the microphone?
@@In_Extremo I have a boomarm (not this one but similar) without shock mount. First thing is RTX Voice. I have the noise suppression set on about 80% and the ''Remove background noise from my microphone'' box obviously checked. Then I have Voicemod installed. In voicemod as a mic I selected NVIDIA RTX Voice. And in Voicemod I have added some bass to my voice to make it just that higher quality (its different for everyone because everyones voice is different) And in apps like Discord, or even Windows etc, I select my mic to be Voicemod. So it runs through all of them. I havn't tried RTX without the boomarm. I think getting a boomarm will help you a lot tho.

Just bought the Solocast and it's much better with a boom arm + shock mount much fewer vibrations and there is no booming sound when typing it's a lovely mic, and thank you.
Got mine and it sounds so bad compared to my headset mic. Not sure if mine just arrived broken or not but it sounds echoy and my voice is robotic almost (tinny) wouldn't recommend
Hello 9to5toys, your videos are great. Can I ask do you use any softwares (for Mac) for enhancing voice recording or adding some more effects? Thank you!
I didn't have much background noise issues. But on OBS, static would only play whenever I spoke. I turned noise suppression on, but it sometimes cuts out my own voice.
I 3D printed a cone, lined it with a spare door pad I had lying around and it dampened it enough to remove those table bumps. I also tried it with just the door pad (in the ring when you remove the mic), it was a really tight fit, but still works, IMO HyperX got kinda lazy here.
Can you give me some advice on how did you make it sound that good? It's really really quiet to me. Specially at that distance that you are using it. Such a low volume
My SoloCast just came today and I'm impressed with the sound, however, it's not even close to your volume and I'm very close to it, my friends on discord say that's a very good mic, they can hear me well. But to me the sound's very low, they don't even hear my keyboard, which is right next to it. I put 100 on Windows and it's still low, do you use any software?
I just picked up the hyper x solocast myself, I really like the sound clarity. The only real issue I am having is it says its supposed to be the cardioid pattern for sound pickup. And other than the typing it picks up if anyone is walking around my house while I am recording it picks up their sound as well unless I turn the gain very low and then it makes my voice very low as well. Do you have any ideas, do I need to potentially tilt the mic instead of having it fully upright? Just curious. Thank you for making this video!

I just bought a Solocast for my daughter to make videos of her playing Roblox and the audio sounds extremely low and like she's recording from a bunker, is there any way to fix the volume issue? I've turned the input volume all the way up and it didn't help much. I noticed in the review videos where the mic is being used it's full, clear audio but for me it's no where close.
That's a bummer! Such a great mic. Is she talking into the front of the microphone? And is she close to it? I think about 5-6 inches way is the best distance for sound without getting pops.
