@@CERRYGREENBAY I would say otherwise. The SoloCast sounds much more closed and compressed than the others, where as the QuadCast sounds the most open of them all (e.g. space in the room). The Razer seiren mini sounds muted, though it's still a decent option with the internal shock mount.
I barely noticed a difference between the Quad and Solocast until the keyboard test and the Razer sound so narrow and low. Solocast is for sure a good one for the price.
The fact that the keyboard test is basically the only difference, is prob because of the shock mount? (Because like half the kb sound was shaking sounds and not the clicky)
Meh, don't use condenser mics for gaming anyway. People who market condensers for gaming and streaming are just trying to cash in on gullible consumers who do not know much about audio.
I was deadset on buying the seiren mini until I found out about the solocast and watched this video. Now I'm definitely getting the solocast. Take my like, good sir!
@Kobe got the same problem over here. Stocks were available for like 2-3 days for like $60 retail, and now it's sold out everywhere with resellers selling it for $110. And after watching this video, I really don't want to settle for the seiren mini.
I own the solocast, for this price it's amazing. Sounds good plus it has an anc so it only captures your voice. I use it for CS2 and other games that require microphone. And also for Discord but not all the time. I recommend it for anyone who wants a good microphone at a low price.
I have both now, Solocast and the Quadcast. Solocast is a great mic. I am on the fence of keeping it though as I like the option of the adjustable gain on the Quad and I hate the blinking LED when on mute. Also, the Solocast doesn't really have an internal pop filter like the Quadcast but the plosives haven't been an issue. I do have mine on a mic boom arm though above my head, about 6 -10 inches away from my mouth so it is not viewable via the cam. Size, build quality, and sound are great.
how's the solocast in terms of picking up keyboard and mouse noise when its on your boom arm? and do you have a shock mount attached? if so how does that impact the external noise levels? Been trying to find something that doesn't pick up my thumping keyboard sounds - currently using a dynamic microphone with an interface and even slight tapping on the lead causes earthquake-like soundwaves to whoever I'm causing lmao Thanks!
@@conahscreations I believe it would be the same as the Quadcast (QC). The mic difference is that the QC has 3 capsules for the 4 polar patterns, the solocast has 1 for cardioid. Their capsules are the same for both mics. Only nice thing is the QC has the gain adjust on the mic. That said I am going to sell my QC as the it turns on all the time by itself triggered by something in Windows or USB. Can't seem to fix this quirk.
The impact sounds is a deal breaker, but I bet some simple DIY can fix that. Plus it sounded much fuller than the razer one. The seiren mini sounds like my 20$ lav mic!
I have a solution, i have this mic at home just bought it and kinda got upset because of the impact sounds but i remembered that the stand can tilt, so i tilt it to full on the right and it somehow removed the keyboard vibrations, while it still has keyboard clacks it totally removes the vibration, let me know if this helped you thanks

Yesterday it happened for the first time and I unplugged it and plugged it in again and it worked. But today it happened today and nothing seems to help.. does anyone have a fix? Cant find anything on google. Mic is only a few months old and really shouldnt be broken
I found a solution on removing keyboard vibrations on the solocast mic, because the stand is able to be tilted, tilt the stand and the mic to the left or the right side and that should remove the impact noise, please let me know if this worked
That never occurred to me! I just tried that on my own solocast and it worked perfectly! thank you so much! Is there any reason why tilting it reduces the impact noises?
I think the SoloCast actually sounds great. I currently use an AntLion Modmic with some HD58X but I wanted a mic that I could use with IEMs. I might just go for the SoloCast since the price point is very appealing and I'm sure with RTX voice enabled it won't be picking up any of that desk reverb.
I found a free way so it barely picks up your keyboard heres the steps: first go to google and search up voice mod downloader then click on the first one and download it now open up voice mod and choose the clean voice changer which will make the microphone sound better then at the bottom of voice mod select the sound settings which is at the bottom of voice mod now go to reduce background noise and put it on the one you like the best and now your done your microphone will barely pick up your keyboard!

I really want to get the wireless Cloud 2 but I don't have the money and also the reason why is because my wired Cloud 2 for some reason if I just barely twist the wire the sound sounds like crap
I have a quick question before I invest in this mic. The HyperX SoloCast. Does pushing the mute button on OR off create a sound into the mic for people to hear? It's such a weird thing to be bothered by, but I HATE it when my stream or friends hear me mute myself. They ask invasive questions, and I just want a mic that is quiet while toggling a button for muting. I can't seem to find ANY videos testing the ACTUAL pressing of the mute button.
Great question! It's a capacitive "button" so there really isn't a button to press in you just have to make contact with it. Even the lightest bit of contact will activate it. If you tap it really hard, it will make a bit of a pop, but if you're really light, it's pretty much inaudible. Hope that helps!
i am just starting to learn how to make music and i want to find an affordable mic to use and it seems like this mic os good for gaming and other stuff but how is it for recording music??

I don't know what filters / effects you have applied on samples recorded with different mics (if any), but Solocast sounds definitely best here, I would say Razer is rather flat and bland. Thanks for helping me choose.
how about when you don't use a headset, does the mic pick off sounds from the stereo speakers from other people on the call when in conference or whatever?
While it does have a cardioid pattern to pick up noise in front more, it would probably still cause issues if used in a conference call with speakers instead of headphones.
