1c milk or yogurt or dairy free alternative, 1 ripe banana, 1c fresh or frozen berries, 1 tbps of chia seeds, 1 scoop of collagen powder (optional), 1/2 cucumber- peeled and sliced, 1/2 bell pepper, a handful of horsetail herb, some oats for more silica. ***I remember reading somewhere that blending these kinds of ingredients destroys fiber so add seeds AFTER blending them so there’d be fiber in the drink.” ***. Horsetail is very difficult to absorb in the body. Bamboo is really harsh to the intestinal track.
Bananas and spinach are the best sources of silicon dioxide. Bananas give you 4.77mg of silica, and spinach gives you 4.1 of silica. Also, brown rice has 4.57mg of silica, and oat bran has 3.27 of silica. Carrots 🥕 plants are rich in silica, apples 🍎 are high in silica all berries are a good source of silica.
Few years ago I made a video teaching the benefits of silica for the skin and bones as well fruits and vegetables that provide a good source of silica.❤

Thanks for the great info and smoothie recipe for collagen boosting!
I tend to eat those food items in salads and meals (where the fiber cell walls are intact rather than being broken down by the blender, so the sugar spike isn't so great - smoothies tend to make me feel a bit bloated). I also make homemade jello out of gelatin + frozen berries + collagen powder and eat that as a dessert. The berries flavor and color the gelatin red naturally and is great for hot summers. Sometimes I will serve it with plain Greek yogurt.
For silica, 100g oats provides the most silica: 20mg/100g. Cucumbers have variable amounts. Spinach provides 6-7mg/100g, while bananas, brown rice and tofu provide 4-5mg/100g. As someone else stated below in comments be careful of horsetail supplements because of its potential arrhythmia and liver side effects, drop in B1, as well as diuresis that can affect electrolyte balance.

Thank you for this video & ALL of the wondrous, informative videos you have provided! It makes me so happy to see you speak of the benefits of a collagen supplement. Collagen supplementing benefits inner organs as well as outward appearance. Cucumbers are an excellent source of silica. My daddy grew a 5 acre garden every summer. Tons of fresh, pesticide free cucumbers.
Among the other veggies the family ate, I ate the most cucumbers of anyone. As an adolescent, I bought a juicer with money I earned from babysitting. Many friends & family were sickened by my cucumber juice addiction! Some of them tried it, either hated it or liked it, 2 of my cousins started drinking my cucumber "cocktail" with me! The ones who hated the juice attributed our great skin & hair to lucky genetics!
Many people criticized me for starting my children on a healthy skincare/body care practice at an early age. Those same people, now, express regret at not doing this with their own children.
The women in the father of my childrens family had very thick upper lip hair which often grew into curly moustaches. When my eldest was 5 years of age she noticed this. She voluntarily went to a salon with me to have her upper lip hair threaded. When she was a bit older, she went for laser hair remover. She thanks me, now, more than ever.
I made a promise to my daughters that if they refrained from wearing makeup until they turned 16, I would take them to a professional makeup artist to show them the best colors, applications & techniques for them. Then, I would let them choose a starter set if they wished to wear makeup.
I started my 3 daughters & my son on a simple skin care practice at around 5. Just centered on a mild cleanser for their face. Also?
I trained them to never touch their face unless they had just washed their hands. That is a more effective practice than any acne treatment around. When my kiddos moved past age 7, I taught them to either wear a hat that shields their face from the sun or use the organic, homemade sunscreen that I concocted at home!
We were a military family who lived in mostly tropical, hot weather locations.

    As always great advice Sir!
Most of what I do myself has been taken from your advice, among other reputable mentors in this field of health and skincare.
    Thank you!
I've been drinking this for over a year ( admittedly not every day) minus the bell peppers & cucumber, which I prefer for lunch with cottage cheese & a bit more chia.
Love the berries! And banana is my favorite fruit; in some cases a meal, cos my diet generally isn't a good one, unfortunately.
    So
I add oats in the mornings & protein powder.
I have my dose of Brazil nuts & almonds for a snack later.
I'm taking a Hair Skin Nail supplement for quite a few yrs already and curcumin too for my joints, as well as omega 3 ( a fairly new addition to my daily supplements).
I drink iced Japanese Macha tea, plenty of water & use a good sunscreen!
I've also undertaken a year and half regiment of professional facials; microneedling & recently 2 fractional laser treatments. Loving the results of that BTW!
I use an over the counter RetinAL night cream & a good sunscreen whenever I leave the house.
I do ❤ the beach but I do try to keep my face, neck, chest & hands protected as best I can living in a hot country ( somewhere I'm the middle east).
My skin is looking better than I has in almost 20 years!❤
I am 58 years old in a couple of weeks 🎉
I got rid of most of the dark spots from sun damage under my chin and cheeks, I reversed my skins tone and complexion to where people complement me on it like they did when I was a young woman!
    I'm glowing!

    • @violetfem1808
      @violetfem1808 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@heidikamrath1951 I don't know what to say to some specific brands but yes, taking 10mg does alot more than the 5mg I used to take about 4 yrs ago. My skin has changed, it's softer & smoother & the little bumps on the back of my arms are all gone but the main thing I can attest to with the brand I take (types 1-5) is the difference in my joints after I damaged my left knee in a house renovation project in 2019 & I lift heavy weights at the gym regularly.
