  • Are you looking angry when you are not? Very frustrating!!The lower face is often tough to address for the marionette lines, the down turned mouth and what some call the RBF. Unfortunately it's not as simple as it seems to fix. Fortunately there is a lot one can do inexpensively and at home. I review at home and in clinic options today.

    Coconut oil was my daily full face and body moisturizer. I had so many people compliment me on my skin and youthful appearance. I'm 68 now and I think I stopped using it about five years ago after a serious accident and I was just trying to get by day to day as I was learning how to walk, talk and think normally again.
    I'm going to start that routine again! I've been taking your advice using Grapeseed and Castor oil. I'll continue doing so over my coconut oil routine.
    I get my coconut oil at Costco in a HUGE tub, for about $16 and it lasts me about year or more. Even though it's solid, I just scoop a little bit into my hand and rub my hands together. It liquifies quickly and I put it all over my body. I get the kind of has no smell.
    I also make my own toothpaste with it. My gums started growing back, my gingivitis was gone, and my teeth were whiter. It'd been 6 years with no dental cleaning and my new hygienist asked when I'd had my last cleaning because my mouth and teeth looked great, no tarter either. Most of my life I had lots of dental issues until I started with my homemade toothpaste. I wing it: melted coconut oil, small amount of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, and peppermint extract (that you cook with). Blend with immersion tool. Let it begin to firm, blend again, do that a couple times so the baking soda doesn't settle. I keep it in a lidded jar on the sink and have a baby spoon to scoop it out and put it in my mouth and brush. Hope this helps.

    I would never use RF and worry people use it when they really don’t understand the potential fat loss consequences. Surely retaining facial fat at a healthy appropriate weight is the key! Otherwise the sag will increase and people look worse for it. I wouldn’t go there in clinic or with at home devices. I want all my fat to travel to my face😂 I am keen to hear more about elastin, we talk a lot about collagen but often leave out elastin.

    I got rid of my marionette lines with TCA peel. I did it myself--14 peels, 4 layers each. There used to be a channel called Natural Kaos, and I learned how to do it from her. Unfortunately she lost her channel because she began injecting herself. THAT is something I would NEVER do, but would leave to the professionals.

    @ Dr. Anil Rajani I'm so glad you made this video! I've been doing some face exercises I came up with, while staying at home(pandemic), due to autoimmune disorder. I'm now retired, but had significant and noticeable signs of facial aging. So I practiced tightening various facial muscles(yes, I was that weird kid in the neighborhood, that the other kids laughed at and made fun of!🤪👈🤣😔) while lightly placing my hands against my face to make sure my muscles were flexing and tightening. Long story short, my cheeks lifted, and significant improvement in eyebags, as well. I was pretty shocked, and pleased. But I don't do these in front of anyone, because it's very crazy looking🥴!😂 I usually do them when I'm watching TV at night. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise with us! Hope you hvave a beautiful day!💙

      @@suemahoney7330 as strange as this sounds, I just kept practicing tightening different muscles in my face, I didn't really know what I was doing, but after doing this repetitively, I learned to isolate certain muscles, such as my cheeks, and also the undereye. I feel it really helped, placing my hands lightly on the areas I was trying to work on, to feel with my hands, if I was tightening those muscles, strongly, and like I stated before, after practicing this regularly, I began to really be able to control those muscles. Just keep trying, also practice in front of a mirror when tightening the cheek muscles, you will see the cheeks lift, with each rep, when you are doing it correctly. I worked up to 100 reps, and when I first began to be able to master the exercise, I was only able to do 20ish reps.
      While doing the undereye exercises, while tightening/flexing them, it forces my eyes to close, so placing the pads of your fingertips enables you to feel if you're tightening them. Just practice, practice, practice! You'll be surprised at how you will learn to isolate and control those muscles!
      I do have the marionette lines, though, and a bit of sag under chin area, so I need to start doing exercises for those parts of my face, too. Don't give up, it's awesome, you will also have this feeling in your face of increased blood circulation, it's amazing, and also adds to the improvement of your skin, as well as the lifting and firming! Hope you try it, it may take a little while to figure it out, but I truly believe, that if someone like myself 😉can do it, anyone can!👍🏻

    Isn't it okay to age? It's a natural process. If a child remarks that her mom looks older, someone should explain to the child that aging is a natural part of life. It's nothing to feel ashamed of or alarmed by. The trade off is that with age, we get wisdom... hopefully. Sure, use sunscreens, moisturizers, exercises or whatever you can afford and feel like doing. Just don't be ashamed of aging because most of us will do it if we're lucky enough to live a long time. I loved every wrinkle I saw on my grandparents faces. Hopefully we can all love ourselves and each other through every beautiful season.

    • @gillianstapleton8566
      @gillianstapleton8566 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Get yourself a ring light or better a soft box or even move your laptop to a good source of natural light at a window .. you won’t see the imperfections at all that seems to show up on zoom calls showing every slightest shadow. Just know in person you don’t look that bad at all but lighting is really important and works wonders with that sort of media … you have to remember that cameras / video now are really high resolution and really unforgiving of the slightest crease, shadow or wrinkle and exaggerate them. Even if your 20 your going to show if you didn’t sleep well the night before.

    • @GamingWithMus
      @GamingWithMus หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Thank you so much. Brought tears to my eyes. You're right, in person everyone tells me I look 28, I'm 44. The mirror doesn't show it , but that darn camera really picks it up lol. Thank you much for the tips. I'll definitely try that!

    • @dammar117
      @dammar117 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The mirror does show it, but mobile device cameras are the worst. Zoom is OK if it's not on your phone. Sit straight in front of your computer with strategic lighting.
      The best are professional photos. I look great in my passport and pre-op photos because they were taken with a professional camera in a studio setting. Going by my pre-op photos, you would never think I needed a facelift.

    • @GamingWithMus
      @GamingWithMus หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's amazing advice. I appreciate it. My mirror must be positioned under good lighting lol. I have a 3 way mirror and it doesn't capture those shadows. You're right with respect to the phone camera, especially my new samsung s24 ultra, has an AI adaptive camera, it emphasizes every pore, line, etc lol. Making me feel really self conscious these days @dammar117

    • @dammar117
      @dammar117 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@GamingWithMus Not only do phones emphasize every pore, line, and, worst of all, every bit of sag, but they grossly distort our faces. I have banned everybody around me from taking pictures of me with their phones. But it was two of such photos that destroyed my self-image and had me obsessing about a facelift. The mirror was bad enough, but the phone pics, horrible.
      And to those who think that it's just the phone, ask yourselves why young people don't look old and saggy. The phone camera does what the subconscious mind of those around us does: pick up that which we don't see right away and register it as us being old.

    Botox in my DAOs and chin is working well for my downturned mouth : ) I personally don't mind so much the marionette lines as long as they are at a different angle from the mouth so they don't look like a continuation of the mouth in a downturn, and that's what botox has done for me.. I'm happy and even seeing difference in how people respond to me, it has just changed my face back to looking friendly again! Before I would have to be actively smiling to not look unfriendly, and no matter how strangers feel it's ok to tell someone to "smile", no one walks round with a full-on smile all the time!!

    I started doing facial exercises recently along with your Volufiline. I have sensitive skin and, so far, I'm liking the Volufiline. I can't *imagine* doing 30 minutes of facial exercises daily - I do about 5-8 minutes. At least it's obvious that there is increased blood flow to my face by how flushed I am afterwards and I'm assuming this will stimulate collagen (I'm also taking collagen capsules). I can't use filler in my lower face because I'm too old and that would def make my face look bottom heavy. I'm also too nervous to use any heat devices because I need to preserve my precious facial fat.
    I don't look bad for my age, but I want to look better. I think a deep plane facelift/necklift is in my near future. I was thinking that Sculptra in my lateral cheeks could buy me a few years, but with the thousands of doctors in my city, I don't know how to find an experienced practitioner, so I'm nervous about going that route. At least with a facelift, you can see reviews and photos.

      Wonderful note you wrote and I agree with you. You need to find the correct provider. Things have changed in minimally invasive and not everyone has kept up with biostimulators like PRF and plasmafil. The blood flow you speak of is so true. I was just on a 17 hour flight. I woke up with dark circles. I did my vo2 max biking session after I awoke and in 30 minutes my eyes looked almost 100% better. I was watching in the hotel gym mirror as I biked. Blood flow is so important. Keep me updated on your journey and thank you for sharing.

    Thanks for doing this video interested in what device you recommend for the face and body especially for the neck 😀 l have been using the Nira device! and using the skin envy and unrefined soursop oil still having neck issues crepeyness and corners of chin wrinkles but I'm in my 60's but started doing some facial exercises!😊

    Can you do a review on the Foreo Bear mini micro current device, does it help build collagen??

    Please review the Fontona 4D laser. Inside the mouth and out. Please and thank you!
    I’m an esthetician and I do buccal massage for my clients and so I’m fascinated about the laser inside and around the mouth also.

      Do you recommend the buccal massage, I just found a place where they specialise in miofascial massage and buccal massage and wondered if it helps with aging and also maybe TMJ issues... Thank you!

    Hi Dr. Rajani! It's me again....the one who has had various collagen stimulating treatments, procedures & supplements over the past 8 years and have gotten no substantial improvement from any of them, including 8 vials of scupltra & 2 EZ Gel treatments, volufiline, etc. I'm 70 y.o., very thin, no fat to speak of left in my face, thin skin, many lines and folds and glycation periorally and eye hollows. I had a Deka Dot CO2 laser in January which had no lasting results beyond a few weeks of swelling which made my face look fantastic!
    I have recently had consultations with 2 other docs who have agreed that I am just not blessed with the ability to generate much collagen (which I have to agree with!) and that some filler and botox along with Lumenis Ultra Pulse CO2 laser is recommended.
    I've done many at home treatments as well, which, more than anything, are just exhausting and time consuming.
    I envy the people who respond to all your treatments & procedures and look fabulous!
    Can you tell us what, if anything, do you know about Protenza laser, Fotona 4D laser, Tixel, UltraClear laser and an at home device called SpectraSculpt by Orion?
    Thank you so much for all of your time educating us and being so genuine.

      Thanks @user-qd1uj3du1t. I very much appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. It helps all of us learn.
      From what you describe those last procedures will be disappointing. I have yet to have a patient I could not get volume for with PlasmaSculpt. If there is excess skin a facelift is needed first. I have never had to use 8 sculptra vials 4 weeks apart yet either...20 yrs of using it. No doubt 8 vials over 12 months...yes...but that should work. Consult is key. Devices unlikely to work at all for you. Keep enjoying the journey as best you can and keep us updated. Thanks for commenting.

      @@rajanimdskincare Oh my goodness! I did not see your response until now! I'm so grateful to you for taking the time and I would be in your office if I lived there and you were taking new patients! The doc from whom I received the Sculptra AND 2 EZ Gel treatments is a top 100 injector & instructor for Sculptra whom you know well here in the San Diego area. Maybe I need of both, but I just feel like I'm not getting a big bang for my buck!
      Just 1 question at this point....Do you think I would get some substantial smoothing out of my skin with the Lumenis UltraPulse laser (even fully ablative)? You're the best! Thank you!!!

    Hi Dr Rajani have you heard of the Ziip Halo it's a combination of microcurrent and Nano current wavelengths (no heat) you use Electric gel before use. I would really appreciate your thoughts on it. 🙏🙏

    Maybe not a moneymaker for you, but am seriously wanting to try the FACE EXERCISES. I've found some before but I wasn't confident that they were the right thing to do. Where do we find these tried and proven exercises? I still want PDOs though! Who do you recommend in San Diego (or Mexico would be even better, but PDOs don't seem to be popular...)?
