Is the engine still pretty noisy between 2000 and 3000 rpm like the old one? Because that resonating noise is pretty annoying on the highway, at ~120km/h.

Fuel economy is great for this car
It uses the same amount of fuel as Golf/Leon/Octavia with 1,5 TSI (which pulls much stronger below 4500 rpm).

I have the 3 hatchback with this engine it's very quiet and smooth at that speed.
you sholud try using pedal box to check if there is an improvement
