Is it possible by taking supplements your hemo increases but not ferritin?
I'm taking bysglycinate iron right now but if after 2 month I see no improvement I might try these.
Anyway love thes videos on hair care and iron and all these topics. Keep up the good work.

I'd say anything is possible, but I think that would be unlikely outside of someone having a medical condition that severely impedes iron absorption. What I know for sure, is that it can take up to 6-9 months before you see a rise in ferritin levels (although you can start noticing physical improvements much sooner than that i.e. more energy, less hair shedding etc.). Especially if the supplements you are taking are a low mg, the former is likely to be the case. The good thing is that the ferrous bisglycinate supplements I assume you're taking are generally known to improve iron absorption and storage better than other iron forms. So I would say check that it's a higher dosage (i.e. 20mg+), and be consistent with what you're using for at least 4-6 months before giving up on them. If you are severely anaemic, commercial supplements may also be quite ineffective. So, if your ferritin levels are

Tell your doctor to check B12, folate, transferritin. When ferritin does not go up is usually due to a liver damage or a problem with absorption. I would go to at least 2 different doctors, at least a good GP and a naturopath.

Update! I just came from my doctor’s office and my labs reflect an increase in my ferritin. In just two months, I went from ferritin of 7 (I was wrong earlier when I said 8) to 30 and everything else went up too! She said she’s never seen anyone improve this quickly. I just want to thank this channel for getting the word out on this amazing iron supplement and also want to thank the makers of Blood Builder!!!❤️🙏🙌🏼

I had to pretty much beg for blood tests, and do my own research about what was happening to my body. For POC, a lot of the time they don't really care about you. 1. Get blood work for hemoglobin and ferritin. Ferritin should be over 80, some doctors said 100). Research the difference because most doctors will say you are ok if your ferritin is at 15. Hemoglobin will go back to normal as you increase your iron (ferritin).
      2. If you’re loosing blood every month due to heavy periods no matter what is causing this (endometriosis/uterine fibroids/PCOS) then you can not get your blood up to normal range easily. So, in order to stop the bleeding you need to go to a gynecologist. They will give you contraceptive medicine or surgery options . I don’t like these but after 6 years of suffering I am going to take a special birth control that stops your period permanently. I tried almost every natural way without success (if you want to know write back).
Once you know your blood work numbers and you know how to manage your bleeding then you will be able to increase your iron stores (ferritin) and hemoglobin in average 6 weeks. This is using diet eating ONLY beef/chicken liver, dark green vegetables and berries, lemons and oranges, water, no coffee/black tea. The supplements in this video or other, blackstrap molasses and so on. If your blood numbers are extremely low Hemoglobin lower than 7 and ferritin lower than 15 then you might need a blood transfusion or iron infusions. Both have been offered to me. I rejected them many times but end up having iron sucrose (Venofer). With blood transfusions you feel better in a couple hours. Iron IV takes up to 6 weeks to feel better. So I am waiting.
Please don’t let your blood go so low. Blood transfusions and iron IV have risks.

@@Therey1898 Hi, sorry for the late reply. Birth control did not work. My fibroids were to big and my anemia was terrible and I end up having a hysterectomy. I regret taking birth control because it actually made things worse for me. I believe if you have a very small fibroid like 0.5cm/5mm you could shrink them using diet and supplements and lifestyle changes. Once the fibroids grow between 3 to 5 cm is already too late to shrink them naturally, but I might be wrong.
All in all, I wish I had surgery years ago (my emotions did not let me back then), but I learned that fibroids are hard to beat just like cancer, and if you can save yourself more health issues and have a life, then just have the hysterectomy would give more benefits than suffering year after year with the bleeding and anemia.

Just a small correction here. Ferritin levels of less than 15 ug/L do not automatically equal Anaemia, you have to actually get checked to see if your iron deficiency has affected your blood cells which usually happens at extremely low levels. Nevertheless you can still experience iron deficiency symptoms and anaemia can also have other causes unrelated to iron levels.

I started taking Gentle Iron from Natures Bounty, it also has vitamin C which helps the body absorb the iron better and it has vitamin b12 which is essential for hair growth as well. I started taking this with vitamin D3 about 3 weeks ago and oh my! My hair has FINALLY stopped shedding! It was getting sooo bad, making me depressed. My hair is really thin now, use to be thick but it’s been falling out so much everyday but now, barely any come out, just the normal amount if that! I’ve been suffering from hair shedding since 14 and I’m 41 now! Thinking about it, I started having super heavy periods around that time and it just got worse within time, to where I now have menorrhagia, and never thought to take iron like this. I tried it once but it was too hard on my stomach! 😳 but the gentle one is awesome! Also I take Viviscal Scalp Nourish along with their Hair Self Care. So far so good! I’m so happy, I think it has also helped my depression and anxiety a little, or it could be vitamin d3 maybe both! Might get even better within time. I’m just happy oh and want to share one more tip! NIZORAL SHAMPOO!!! Has been proven to help hair thickness and regrowth! When washing, leave on for 10 minutes, massage it in at first, rinse with cool water. It’s proven to help but unknown why exactly, also helps with hair diameter! 🤗

Well this was super helpful! Thanks so much Queen! I’ve just ordered a bottle, can’t wait to see the results! Also this is hands down the MOST helpful research I have found on iron deficiency figures, iron daily intake, and iron absorption. Thank you!!!!

My Ferritin is at a 7. I’ve had every test imaginable and I’m healthy yet Ives had bad heart palpitations. When I stretch it makes my heart palpitates like crazy, I get shortness of breath, hair graying, fatigue…. I was advised to eat liver and just can’t do it and Then was advices to try beef liver pills which I didn’t take because it’s hard to tell how many mg I’m getting. So I’m gonna try these and hopefully I can go back to my normal self

Am I allowed to take this if I dont 'officially' have low iron?. Took afew blood tests and they always say there's nothing wrong, but I've always had all the symptoms of low iron especially fatigue and cold hands and feet.

I wouldn't recommend it as it can give you severe constipation. I would recommend eating food rich in iron. Also seek medical advice from a different health care professional

Hi, Great video! I love these supplements. I wanted to ask, do you think I should buy the vitamin c supplements from mega foods or is it not necessary for absorption?
