Transformers G1 Returns! Episode 110 Heart of Darkness Part 3 (Unofficial Fan-made Episode)

- Starscream's devious creation is finally unleashed on the Autobots and it spells very bad news for Powermaster Optimus Prime in Transformers G1 Returns episode 110: Heart of Darkness Part 3.
"Transformers G1 Returns!" is an independently made continuation of the original "The Transformers" cartoon series made by Sunbow, picking up right where the last episode "The Rebirth, Part 3" left off. This mini series was created to demonstrate to Hasbro that a small independent film studio can produce a product of comparable quality to the original on a limited budget. It is our hope that we can generate enough interest in the project that Hasbro will consider an official online web series continuation of the G1 cartoon.
"Transformers G1 Returns!" and Fanatic Films INC are in no way affiliated with or endorsed by Hasbro. The Transformers characters, names, and likenesses are property and copyright of Takara Tomy/Hasbro and are used herein under the fair use principal as a derivative work. Please support the offical product.
This transformative remix work constitutes a fair-use of any copyrighted material as provided for in section 107 of the US copyright law. Each of the 4 points of section 107 are addressed individually below with our comments following the *asteriks:
(1) the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes; *The purpose of this video series is to demonstrate to the copyright holder, Hasbro, that A) There is a sizable market for a continuation of their original cartoon series and B) Modern technology has advanced over the past 30 years to the point that a small group of independent film makers are able to produce a work of comparable quality to that of the original work on an extremely small budget. The use of this video series is not commercial in nature, it is hosted on a non-monetized TH-cam account and the creators do not profit from the material in any way. The purpose of posting the videos online publicly is to generate enough views and interest that the copyright holder will take notice and respond to fans wishes of continuing the original series. Secondly, since no official continuation of the original work exists, publicly posting this unofficial continuation benefits the members of the public who wish to see the storyline continued.
(2) the nature of the copyrighted work; *The original work is an animated series of light hearted stories aimed at children which were for the most part, individual stories independent from one another. Our work meets the definition of "transformative" or "derivative" as this series seeks to present an overarching storyline throughout the entire series with harsher tones aimed at an adult audience.
(3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; *Like any remix, the original work is heavily featured however, it is used in a transformative nature as described in point 2. In addition, all storylines and dialogue are new and independant of the original work. A comparative ratio of new to original material would be difficult to gauge but in general, all visuals, sound effects and music are from the original work while all dialogue and storytelling angles are new material.
(4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work; *This series is being distributed solely for fans of the original "The Transformers" series which has not produced a new episode since 1987. It is not related to, nor meant to draw attention away from any current Transformers broadcasts by Hasbro. We ask that viewers watch all official Transformers media before watching this series. It would in fact, only make sense to a reasonable person to view the original work prior to this series since it follows the original work's fiction chronologically. It is also possible that this series may in fact create increased interest in Hasbro's "Generations" Transformers toyline which is related to the original Transformers series which this work is based upon since the original toyline saw a significant boost in sales due to it's supporting work of fiction at the time. Finally, given the use of the word "Unofficial" in the title and highly visible disclaimers before, after and in the video description of each episode stating that this work is in no way related to Hasbro, any reasonable person should be able to differentiate this from an official Hasbro product. Thus, any negativity associated with this series should not impact Hasbro in any way.

Galvatron sends out his new recruits, Dreadwing and Darkwing to earth meanwhile Autobot City Optimus Prime receives new
battle amour. However, he tests his new armor on Dreadwing and Darkwing , while out in space, a mysterious ship heads to earth.
darkside of the moon
Starscream;s new creation sent to earth to take care of Overlord and elsewhere. Overlord challenge Prime to fight him on the moon, but it appears 2 unknown transformers are also headed to the moon for the battle Royle.

Galvatron and his forces invade planet
Casrenda but the machine inhabitants
Sent a distress call, so Rodimus prime along with his task force to rescue the
Inhabitants under decepticons control.

Hmm, I imagine Zarak, Scorponok and the renegade Nebulan Decepticons will be watching the events transpiring here and waiting to take advantage of the situation. Might also explain the Black Zarak upgrade that may be coming too. A lot of interesting possibilities, and, given that it's Devil Z that grants both Overlord/Giga and Black Zarak their upgraded powers, I imagine the return of Unicron might not be far behind given Devil Z's link to the Chaos Bringer.

if G1 wasnt discontinued and this aired im pretty sure kids ptsd flare up again after loosing optimus prime in the movie. They really hoping prime wouldn't die again for third time after he got an upgrade to become a powermaster prime

This feel so nostalgic i love it, but i wish you gave Overlord the southern accent.
I am not saying the voice is bad, but it just does not stand out as much for such a iconic character.

What if Galvatron&Cyclonus was severely damaged that to initiate their self-repair systems, they reformatted themselves using their own sparks. This might burn off the corruption of their sparks by Unicron and their core sparks reasserts itself back to their original. So with Galvatron&Cyclonus returning back to Megatron&SkyWarp. As for Scourge making more of himself by reformatting other Seeker clones and then imprinting his character on his Sweep clones.

Creative use of various clips from various episodes. Just one critique, I would add some more grunts and such to the fight scenes. They just seem to be a bit too quiet low energy rather than exerting force into their combat. An example would be the fight between Optimus and Rodimus at the end of Dark Awakening. Great work otherwise.
Thanks for the feedback. We'll be remastering all these episodes when we pitch it to Hasbro so I'll keep that in mind.

Great job!! I hope in future episodes we can see gun megatron, galvatron and the overlord meet up with each other. Too see how the looked before and they team up to fight the autobots after they all fight each other and realize they're all after autobots. I hope also in future episodes we can see reflector thunder cracker and sky warp and have scourge and cyclonus look at they're previous looks. And they team up and fight the autobots. I hope to see the quintessons and fortress maximus in future episodes with the masterwork. Along with the headmasters.

10:24, for once, Screamer is correct. I kinda forgot this happened a lot. Dinobots, Autobot X, the Aerialbots basically avoided this thankfully thanks to Vector Sigma and Alpha Trion oh and then there's Victory Leo. Can't forget about him.
10:53, how Galvatron survived any of this...really shows Unicron's tech or if Galvatron really is insane and can tank as many hits as possible and his mutant power from the FFOD original treatment is still left intact.
12:40, Lugnuts from Animated is lucky to have his code be used for the Omega Supreme clones in Animated because Megatron knew that having multiple hims would be troublesome. This is an example.
