Transformers G1 Returns! "No Place Like Home" Full Story. Episodes 101 - 104 (Fan-made/Unofficial)

As requested, all 3 parts of No Place Like Home put together as a compilation. We've got some BIG things in the pipeline! Keep an eye out for another upload in the next couple of days!
"Transformers G1 Returns!" (formerly TFG1 Unofficial) is an independently made continuation of the original "The Transformers" cartoon series made by Sunbow, picking up right where the last episode "The Rebirth, Part 3" left off. This mini series was created to demonstrate to Hasbro that a small independent film studio can produce a product of comparable quality to the original on a limited budget. It is our hope that we can generate enough interest in the project that Hasbro will consider an official online web series continuation of the G1 cartoon.
"Transformers Unofficial" and Fanatic Films INC are in no way affiliated with or endorsed by Hasbro. The Transformers characters, names, and likenesses are property and copyright of Takara Tomy/Hasbro and are used herein under the fair use principal as a derivative work. Please support the offical product.
This transformative remix work constitutes a fair-use of any copyrighted material as provided for in section 107 of the US copyright law. Each of the 4 points of section 107 are addressed individually below with our comments following the *asteriks:
(1) the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes; *The purpose of this video series is to demonstrate to the copyright holder, Hasbro, that A) There is a sizable market for a continuation of their original cartoon series and B) Modern technology has advanced over the past 30 years to the point that a small group of independent film makers are able to produce a work of comparable quality to that of the original work on an extremely small budget. The use of this video series is not commercial in nature, it is hosted on a non-monetized TH-cam account and the creators do not profit from the material in any way. The purpose of posting the videos online publicly is to generate enough views and interest that the copyright holder will take notice and respond to fans wishes of continuing the original series. Our work meets the definition of "transformative" or "derivative" as this series seeks to present an overarching storyline throughout the entire series with harsher tones aimed at an adult audience.
(3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; *Like any remix, the original work is heavily featured however, it is used in a transformative nature as described in point 2. In addition, all storylines and dialogue are new and independant of the original work. A comparative ratio of new to original material would be difficult to gauge but in general, all visuals, sound effects and music are from the original work while all dialogue and storytelling angles are new material.
(4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work; *This series is being distributed solely for fans of the original "The Transformers" series which has not produced a new episode since 1987. It is not related to, nor meant to draw attention away from any current Transformers broadcasts by Hasbro. We ask that viewers watch all official Transformers media before watching this series. It would in fact, only make sense to a reasonable person to view the original work prior to this series since it follows the original work's fiction chronologically. It is also possible that this series may in fact create increased interest in Hasbro's "Generations" Transformers toyline which is related to the original Transformers series which this work is based upon since the original toyline saw a significant boost in sales due to it's supporting work of fiction at the time. Finally, given the use of the word "Unofficial" in the title and highly visible disclaimers before, after and in the video description of each episode stating that this work is in no way related to Hasbro, any reasonable person should be able to differentiate this from an official Hasbro product. Interesting to note that the Decepticons were so powerful back on Cybertron that they conquered it, yet they continually failed here on Earth, and I think I know why. First off, back on Cybertron they concentrated on flying alt modes, that meant they controlled the surface (but not the interior, that was Autobot territory due to their surface effect alt modes). But when the Transformers got to Earth, the need to blend in means that while the Decepticons were tracked by both humans and Autobots (all flight is monitored), the Autobots weren't. Moreover, the Autobots allied with the humans to an extent, so the Autobots could set up shop near a human city and get resources easily, WHILE not being trackable by the Decepticons.
Not only that. But by the end of the war the autobots were scattered … Omega was not on cybertron, the autobots had no combiners on cybertron and not even the Dinobots, while the deception had Devastator. On earth the autobots received energon easily while the decepticons had to steal and fight for it. And the autobots consolidated on earth…that led to autobot victory they would never have been able to achieve on cybertron…
This was great it really felt like a G1 episode

I have to give mega props to you for putting this together, everything about this from the music, the voices and even the dialgoue really feels like a true continuation of the classic G1 cartoon. Excellent job.

This is actually a lot better than I thought it would be, the voice acting is solid and pretty close to the original and seems to have a lot going for itself even with reused footage.
On the side props to whoever voiced Galvatron, his voice deviates from the original more than others but he sounds a lot more grumpy and intimidating, which fits the character perfectly.
Glad you liked Galvatron's voice. I always thought the actor (Nathan Dang) did a killer job but sadly we are the minority and he was replaced, luckily by the equally brilliant Liam O'Donnell!

I would really like to see more of the full version of season four. With this, I can now consider that the rebirth three parter was just the opening Multi part episode for the season.

Umm, if this is post-movie, then how are the dead character alive again? Prowl, Ratchet, Ironhide, Brawn, Windcharger, Wheeljack, Gears, Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp. And before this point, their carcasses were either incinerated in the sun, or transmutated by Unicron. Otherwise, a fine job guys.

Wow, my memories are off.
I thought the auto bots like bumblebee and etc were basically the size of fully grown humans.
Optimus was the size of a building.....taller that a door in the episode.
Then skyfire and Astro train weren't much bigger then prime, but they could fit multiple transformers in them.
Then I guess omega is the same size as metroplex...so generic skyscraper or Empire State Building, or World Trade Center tall?
Scale was inconsistent to say the least!

If someone can answer this one? >> How did Omega's extra equipment just happened to appear whenever he would transform? When he left to go to the moon he left back his extra components and was only in rocket formation, when he appears on the moon there they are when he transforms, did they like teleport to the MOON? That also goes for Prime, where in the heck did the trailer go, and where did it come from whenever he transformed

Its become canon over the last few years that weapons which magically appear/disappear. Its also extended to extensions such as Omegas main body and Primes magic trailers.
It even goes as far as to explain pretenders. Transformers who have a human body that then expand to full sized transformer.
These are better than they have any right to be. Awesome work, how am I just now finding these?

Omega Supreme is perhaps my favorite Autobot, but perhaps the G1 character in most need of a redo. Of course, we know the history, the entire Transformers G1 universe was built around a hodgepodge of Japanese toys, so their forms are what they were before they were brought in. But Omega's alt form makes no sense whatsoever. A lone rocket and launch pad guarded by a single tank. Of course that was a foolish playset created for a child who wouldn't think too hard. I would love to see a continuity where Omega's alt form is a true Autobot battleship. (Note that Fort Max and Metroplex don't make total sense either. None of the Titans are truly large enough to be actual cities. Imagine a Titan large enough to truly transform into a metropolis the size of New York City or Detroit)

Powermaster Prime is on his way! We try to limit the use of Japanese footage as much as possible due to the different animation style but it's unavoidable in some cases.

It's much better animated, and the fights better choreographed, than the American.
I doubt I'm the only fan who prefers the Japanese animation and would rather see it than the mostly awful US stuff.

I got like ideas for episodes if you'd like to hear them. This one would be about the Return of Unicron where Unicron's past was actually being covered up by the Oracle back in the Call of the Primitives because the animal Transformers would prove to be too troublesome for their minds can't comprehend such powers as Unicron and Primus. The Oracle was in fact,Primus' brain which scattered after the war between Unicron and Primus. Primacron was a creation of Unicron who decided to make a clone of Unicron so that HE can take control of the universe but Unicron,being the god of destruction decided otherwise. Unicron is slowly being fed by the monster that woke up in 'The Secret of Omega Supreme' who was in fact a parasite that was still growing to its adult state which caused Unicron's head to slowly gather lots of space junk in order to rebuild Unicron's body.
This was all done thanks to Starscream which will be explained in another episode.

How would that work? Because Galvatron IS Megatron.
Unless someway the personality of Galvatron would get split from Megatron somehow.
Or that Galvatron would in fact be a new creation by Unicron (with Megatrons memories) but the original Megatron spark/personality still stored in Unicons head (which is still floating in space). That the personality would be downloaded and put into a rebuild Megatron body.
Same theory could bring back Skywarp and Thundercracker.
In the comic Galvatron traveled back in time and teamed up with Megatron.

Cosmos, Sky Lynx, and Skyfire needed to be absent from this episode or it would have made it too easy to get a message to Omega Supreme. Presumably they are on Cybertron or some other mission away from Earth. We probably should have seen more of the combiners present merge, however. Not that they would have tipped the scales, but they should have reached that point of desperation.

Yes, Crandle is right. Optimus returned the matrix to Rodimus back in episode 101 which will have implications on the coming episodes.

Where’s Cerebros and Fortress Maximus? If only both are around, Scorpoonk and Trypicon stand no chance and the Earthbound Autobots stand a better chance since the team split into 2 zones one on Earth, the other on Cybertron which is currently led by Rodimus Prime.
Cerebros is a dirty pacifist. Without him, it’s impossible for FortMax to form short of reprogramming him to remove his desertion circuits.

Watch the first episode of this series. It explains that the Quintesson who resurrected Optimus Prime did the same to the Autobot City casualties. Also, this series retcons Bumblebee and Goldbug as two separate characters.

Hey, I just thought of something, Aren't the autobots (And decepticons) that where in the ark when it crashed on earth, technically American citizens since they where on Earth before the country was founded? or do they have to be born (or built I should say) in the country? (In this case the Dinobots would be american citizens)

I love Omega Supreme. But I agree. Omega is about the size of a combiner. Can go head to head with any combiner. But compared to a citybot he's tiny.

Considered it yes but the commercial footage is either a different, usually better animation style or the quality of the video is terrible. The commercials are just really inconsistent with the regular show.

How did you get John Bailey to voice Optimus prime
We didn't! Optimus Prime is voiced by Tom Schalk of the Pokebudz series. Jon Bailey does provide the voices of Ultra Magnus and Cyclonus in the first 6 episodes. We only got his services because he's a super nice guy who was willing to help without any prior knowledge of this show.

We just asked him. He's a great guy and very into the TF fandom. That was a long time ago though, I imagine he's a lot busier these days.

Yes, just asked him via his youtube channel. Just search his name and you'll find it. If you're planning on asking him to help you on a project I should emphasise it was 5 years ago when I asked him and he has become much busier in the voice acting business since then so I don't know if he still takes on jobs like this. I'm going to respect his privacy regarding the pay question.

2 more questions: How many episodes are there so far? I thought many of the season one Autobots became unrecoverable with the destruction of the moseleum ship in "Dark Awakening"?
So far there are 6 episodes released with another 3 which are almost finished and 4 more after that which are probably about 6 - 8 months away from completion. Regarding the revived Autobots, we are going to release a short clip explaining how they were brought back since people always ask. Basically they were brought back the same way Starscream created the Combaticons: We assume the dead Autobots personality files were kept and the new bodies were made by the Quintesson that revived Prime.

Yes, the next episode focuses on the tensions brewing between Galvatron and Zarak which started back in Rebirth pt3. Starscream doesn't make his return for a while yet though!
