Transformers G1 Episode 107 "Pretender to the Throne Part 3" Synopsis: In the finale of the Decepticon Civil War Trilogy, Zarak has all but taken over lead of the Decepticons. But did he underestimate the extent of Galvatron's ruthlessness?
*End credits are out of date: Perceptor is voiced by UltraMarcus from now on and Liam O'Donnell voiced Galvatron's last 2 lines in this episode.
"Transformers G1 Returns!" (AKA "Transformers Unofficial") is an independently made continuation of the original "The Transformers" cartoon series made by Sunbow, picking up right where the last episode "The Rebirth, Part 3" left off. This mini series was created to demonstrate to Hasbro that a small independent film studio can produce a product of comparable quality to the original on a limited budget. It is our hope that we can generate enough interest in the project that Hasbro will consider an official online web series continuation of the G1 cartoon.
"Transformers G1 Returns!/Transformers Unofficial" and Fanatic Films INC are in no way affiliated with or endorsed by Hasbro. The Transformers characters, names, and likenesses are property and copyright of Takara Tomy/Hasbro and are used herein under the fair use principal as a derivative work. Please support the official product.
This transformative remix work constitutes a fair-use of any copyrighted material as provided for in section 107 of the US copyright law. Each of the 4 points of section 107 are addressed individually below with our comments following the *asterisk:
(1) the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes; *The purpose of this video series is to demonstrate to the copyright holder, Hasbro, that A) There is a sizable market for a continuation of their original cartoon series and B) Modern technology has advanced over the past 30 years to the point that a small group of independent film makers are able to produce a work of comparable quality to that of the original work on an extremely small budget. The use of this video series is not commercial in nature, it is hosted on a non-monetized TH-cam account and the creators do not profit from the material in any way. The purpose of posting the videos online publicly is to generate enough views and interest that the copyright holder will take notice and respond to fans wishes of continuing the original series. Secondly, since no official continuation of the original work exists, publicly posting this unofficial continuation benefits the members of the public who wish to see the storyline continued.
(2) the nature of the copyrighted work; *The original work is an animated series of light hearted stories aimed at children which were for the most part, individual stories independent from one another. Our work meets the definition of "transformative" or "derivative" as this series seeks to present an overarching storyline throughout the entire series with harsher tones aimed at an adult audience.
(3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; *Like any remix, the original work is heavily featured however, it is used in a transformative nature as described in point 2. In addition, all storylines and dialogue are new and independent of the original work. A comparative ratio of new to original material would be difficult to gauge but in general, all visuals, sound effects and music are from the original work while all dialogue and storytelling angles are new material.
(4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work; *This series is being distributed solely for fans of the original "The Transformers" series which has not produced a new episode since 1987. It is not related to, nor meant to draw attention away from any current Transformers broadcasts by Hasbro. We ask that viewers watch all official Transformers media before watching this series. It would in fact, only make sense to a reasonable person to view the original work prior to this series since it follows the original work's fiction chronologically. It is also possible that this series may in fact create increased interest in Hasbro's "Generations" Transformers toyline which is related to the original Transformers series which this work is based upon since the original toyline saw a significant boost in sales due to it's supporting work of fiction at the time. Finally, given the use of the word "Unofficial" in the title and highly visible disclaimers before, after and in the video description of each episode stating that this work is in no way related to Hasbro, any reasonable person should be able to differentiate this from an official Hasbro product. Thus, any negativity associated with this series should not impact Hasbro in any way.

Nice bit explaining the change in Galvatron's voice. It beats robo laryngitis used to explain K9's voice changing. Also love the bit with Razorclaw and his not caring much for Galvatron or Zarek on their leadership.
Haha funny you mention that Razorclaw scene as the Predacons originally featured more in the episode but it was so bloated with action scenes they all got cut. I almost removed everything but thought it would be kind of funny seeing the Predacons just take off without actually participating in the fight.

Fantastic work and good idea to change Galvatron's voice. I thought, that Galvatron was almost destroyed by Omega Supreme, and this fact would be a basic for his rebirth as Overlord, but it was only the way to show voice difference. Amaizing idea! Thank you!

Optimus and Rodimus launch all-out attack on Charr and meanwhile Zarak use this opportunity to wipe out all his enemies at once by

Zarak is new leader of the Decepticons, but a new threat looms in the Horizen as a dark force is heading to earth!

Optimus Prime is back but reappeared on earth and a new body and meanwhile Zaraks recruits' humans into his powermaster
program and war for earth is never be the same again.

3 earth children try out the headmaster process however a major city is attack by the Decepticon pretenders along with savage seacons

Optimus prime must investigate strange anomaly on the moon and go's to investigate the matter, meanwhile on the moon overlord
waits for mega zarak to arrive but brave maximus is in pursuit.

Optimus Prime search out 3 new recruits for the powermaster program before the decepticons get to them first. meanwhile at the ark
Stunticons attempting a jailbreak to rejoin their Decepitcon brothers, Zarak suspect Starscream out to dethrone him and take over !

I have a theory as to what will happen in the finale:
The Decepticon Civil War makes it very clear that neither Galvatron nor Zarak know what they're doing, as not only are the incapable of getting one over on each other, the Autobots always intervene. This is hinted at in this episode by Razorclaw, who wonders aloud if either know what they're doing.
In the midst of this all, Starscream suddenly returns, and many disgruntled Decepticons choose to side with him because he actually has a plan.
The big climax sees both Optimus Prime and Starscream get badly damaged. Optimus Prime is rebuilt into his Powermaster form, while Starscream's reconstruction is even more extreme, becoming a two-part Powermaster named Overlord (I envision him sounding like Keith David), who buries Galvatron in an iceberg, and puts Zarak in his place. Overlord dispatches most of the Decepticons into space to force the Autobots to spread themselves thin, and most of the Autobots follow, with Optimus Prime staying on Earth with the Pretenders Metalhawk, Cloudburst, Waverider, and Landmine to locally recruit new Headmasters and Powermasters to deal with Overlord and his Pretenders, Headmasters, Powermasters, and the Seacons.
You have no idea how spot on you are with some of your predictions! Seriously, did you get a leaked script? Lol JK. But for real, you're bang on with some of that. As for which parts, we can't say. No spoilers up in here!

If Overlord does show up in the future, I believe he may retain the southern accent Patrick Seitz gave him in the cgi series, and that Giga and Mega are not human, but rather two of Zarak's disgruntled former Nebulan attendants who choose to bond with Overlord to one up their former boss. As for Devil Z, he could be renamed Daimon Zeta, and he could be connected to either Unicron or the Quintessons, with Zarak striking a bargain with it to get even with Overlord and finally become Decepticon leader.
hmm maybe something they should add to the series and wish to see Starscream in the series probably being power hungry and willing stab anyone in the back.
And where was Fort Max all this time? Would've liked and expected to see him fight Scorponok rather than Omega.

Galvatron's voice changed when he was taking a lava bath on the planet Thrul in Five Faces of Darkness 2.
I hope to teenage spike from the past due to a accident from the quintessions from a time device. Along with spark plug who could claim that he came that he came out of a retirement along with chip chase who used to be professor at a university. But became teenager again while hes still in a wheelchair. I hope to see marrisa fairborne

Because I know the headmaster cartoon in Japan did have alot. But it wasn't as much as it should have been in japan.

These episodes are very good. Better than anything G1 that has been officially released in quite some time. I wish we could have a new G1 series using the Season 3 and 4 cast, and not just as a rehash of how the war started.

No. One of the Kip’s could be let’s say Streetwise or Bluestrak. Both have a shade of gray like Kup (even if the shade is not exactly the same as Kup).

I was hoping no one would notice Lol. I actually didn't even notice myself until the episode was in the final mastering phase, which by that point I had probably watched these scenes at least 100 times so if you picked up on that from just your first viewing, you've got a very sharp eye!
