I have a 1997. I would love to do this to mine. I purchased mine off the original owners family. The man purchased it new,garage kept in the suburbs. He passed away of natural causes and his family sold me the car. It had 43,000 original miles. I couldn't be happier. I love when car guys take care of there car and now it in a way was passed down to me and I'm gonna make sure it gets taken care of. I'm gonna try to keep it 💯 stock.

Very good video but losing an hour sucked. I am impressed how easily and confidently just installed the supercharger and cut holes in a LTC. When I was in HS academic side I never realized how many very intelligent people were over on the tech side. If I could go back I would be in tech. I can't get enough of people fixing cars, building houses and stuff, being electrical wizards and plumbing geniuses. I have to watch things many times to get the confidence to even start. But I do more stuff myself now. I have a 2010 LTC but it didn't come with the air suspension. That only cam on the L extended wheel base. So this kit would fit in mine without sacrificing the windshield fluid container. My only critique would be I was surprised when you were sliding that beautiful new fan shroud all over the concrete. It was a scratched up mess at the end. Plus you didn't put cardboard down and rolled around in the oil. Oh wait I would have done that too. I subscribed. You have a good video personality and a likable way of talking and describing stuff.
Thank you for the well thought out critique and review! It hurts to cut holes, but they're only plastic brake ducts, not metal or structural. Maybe I should have put down cardboard. But I got so mad that I leaked tyranny fluid from a previous project, laid down oil soakup, then that got trampled, and soaked in coolant. Slippery annoying and frustrating 😄 I live on the precipice of mechanic and engineering sometimes. The ability is a blessing, the desire is a curse. Hah

There is a video by curious cars, the guy sells luxury cars and he was selling a supercharged LTC that had a Kenne Bell supercharger and only 33k miles. That was 6 years ago. That car was awesome. You should watch that video.

Have you tried swapping parts with a mustang it uses the same 4.6 ford engine but there's virtually no aftermarket products for the towncar and a pretty much endless supply for the mustang would love to try to throw a cobra supercharger on mine but not sure if it would work without major fabrication
The 4.6 is the same, the vortech on this build uses a mustang bracket that's slightly modified. The mustang and panther platform are very different, because you're probably wondering, the mustang headers won't work. Some people have used an m90 on a 2v 4.6. I have seen vics with m90 sc on a 2v, so a bracket must exist. I have 2 videos on my channel I recommend also. I'll link them below. The first is everything I know about the panther platform. The second is everything I know about the modular 2v.
Ls swaps are cool, but annoying and difficult to get them all the way done (i.e. power steering air conditioning, cruise control, etc) I have a few swapped vehicles on my channel you can check out too!
I had planned on putting the ADTR supercharger kit on my 03' Vic Police Interceptor. But it's like 7 grand now. I found a Ls3 block for $500. So I decided to do a Ls3 swap. I can get 500 horse with just a cam. I already have a bunch of parts. I plan on doing a Ls, Hemi, 5.0 swaps on the Vics. And then I'll do a 4.6 build. I love all of the Panthers. I plan on buying a T-Car for a daily and have my Vics as my toys.
Yeah they're expensive, I'm not sure if its worth the whole price, but I wanted a direct install and no engine swap for this car, my mustang was a HUGE engine out build, and I didnt want that for this car.
@@jerbear7952 1988 Lincoln town car is my dream car so im already living my dream reason im looking at buick 3800 series 2/3 is its lighter than 302 I can swap one in very easily I can get a supercharged one for next to nothing more than plenty of torque to push it around and 3800 with certain exhaust sounds like a v8 at lower rpms.
The ecu in this car is tunable Via ForScan, you need a license to tune it, but most modern Muscle car shops can tune newer cars via OBD2. This car is tuned on the factory ECU, and is CA emissions compliant.

@@chondominguez6995 Also, The kit comes with 30lb injectors, which run out of steam before you reach the limit of your engine... I think you need 47lb injectors.. I would contact the Shop you intend on tuning it and see what injector they reccommend. You'll also want to J-mod your transmission to handle the extra HP. @@TeamRocketGarage I could not believe the amount of grass clippings on the front of that rad. Where I live bugs during summer are a huge problem for clogging rads. With the hot radiator they basically turn into glue, and can be impossible to remove without hours of soaking. So a trick my father showed me way back in the seventies was to cut a piece of fiberglass window screen to fit the front of the rad, and most of the bugs will just dry and fall off but it's easy to just reach in with a whisk and brush it off. This is especially candy on long cross country road trips when you don't have the stuff to work with like at home. Along the edges I just double up the screen and punch holes in it so I can use zip ties to attach it and keep it in place. For anyone who tries this just DO NOT use aluminum window screen or it will wear the fins right off of the rad.
@c.d.7742 that's an awesome tip! I'm in utah, so we don't see bugs like in some other places like the south, but the mesh would be a good idea, especially with a magnet to hold it on the ac condenser so one can just pull it out and spray it off even!

Hi thanks for watching the code on the towncars is either under the trunklid, in the older ones. or on the model in the driver's door, if you remove the door panel, there will be a code, that's where it should be on a 2010. If you still have the factory manual or dealer pamphlet.. it may say in there too!

@@TeamRocketGarage L is six inches of additional length, mostly showing up in rear leg room. It's a distinction without a difference. They are fun, but it's also sad that by 2011 Ford/Lincoln still wasn't a match for Chevy and Cadillac's Caprice/Fleetwood from 17 years earlier.

What do you mean wasn’t a match for earlier Cadillacs and caprices? I think the exl was bigger than them and has much more sophisticated handling.. though easily out classed by the Benz and bmw options of the time.

This was an easy install! The ls, I'm not sure. New trans wire harness, etc etc. 450hp is possible with the kit and larger injectors
