    I'm with you brother, I've never been a Ford guy, always owned chevy,pontiac, but I've always loved the ride and luxury of the Lincoln town cars, I was blessed with buying my first Lincoln (MKC) last year. Not a TC, but it is a Lush Ride, 4 cylinder twin turbo. I love it😊

    I have a 1997. I would love to do this to mine. I purchased mine off the original owners family. The man purchased it new,garage kept in the suburbs. He passed away of natural causes and his family sold me the car. It had 43,000 original miles. I couldn't be happier. I love when car guys take care of there car and now it in a way was passed down to me and I'm gonna make sure it gets taken care of. I'm gonna try to keep it 💯 stock.

    Very good video but losing an hour sucked. I am impressed how easily and confidently just installed the supercharger and cut holes in a LTC. When I was in HS academic side I never realized how many very intelligent people were over on the tech side. If I could go back I would be in tech. I can't get enough of people fixing cars, building houses and stuff, being electrical wizards and plumbing geniuses. I have to watch things many times to get the confidence to even start. But I do more stuff myself now.
    I have a 2010 LTC but it didn't come with the air suspension. That only cam on the L extended wheel base. So this kit would fit in mine without sacrificing the windshield fluid container.
    My only critique would be I was surprised when you were sliding that beautiful new fan shroud all over the concrete. It was a scratched up mess at the end.
    Plus you didn't put cardboard down and rolled around in the oil. Oh wait I would have done that too.
    I subscribed. You have a good video personality and a likable way of talking and describing stuff.

    • @TeamRocketGarage
      @TeamRocketGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the well thought out critique and review! It hurts to cut holes, but they're only plastic brake ducts, not metal or structural. Maybe I should have put down cardboard. But I got so mad that I leaked tyranny fluid from a previous project, laid down oil soakup, then that got trampled, and soaked in coolant. Slippery annoying and frustrating 😄
      I live on the precipice of mechanic and engineering sometimes. The ability is a blessing, the desire is a curse. Hah

    Have you tried swapping parts with a mustang it uses the same 4.6 ford engine but there's virtually no aftermarket products for the towncar and a pretty much endless supply for the mustang would love to try to throw a cobra supercharger on mine but not sure if it would work without major fabrication

    • @TeamRocketGarage
      @TeamRocketGarage  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The 4.6 is the same, the vortech on this build uses a mustang bracket that's slightly modified. The mustang and panther platform are very different, because you're probably wondering, the mustang headers won't work.
      Some people have used an m90 on a 2v 4.6. I have seen vics with m90 sc on a 2v, so a bracket must exist.
      I have 2 videos on my channel I recommend also. I'll link them below. The first is everything I know about the panther platform.

      @@TeamRocketGarage I could not believe the amount of grass clippings on the front of that rad.
      Where I live bugs during summer are a huge problem for clogging rads. With the hot radiator they basically turn into glue, and can be impossible to remove without hours of soaking. So a trick my father showed me way back in the seventies was to cut a piece of fiberglass window screen to fit the front of the rad, and most of the bugs will just dry and fall off but it's easy to just reach in with a whisk and brush it off. This is especially candy on long cross country road trips when you don't have the stuff to work with like at home. Along the edges I just double up the screen and punch holes in it so I can use zip ties to attach it and keep it in place.
      For anyone who tries this just DO NOT use aluminum window screen or it will wear the fins right off of the rad.
