Since I am an almost 60 year continuous Cadilliac owner, I prefer the Brougham. However, I also a huge fan of Lincolns. The only thing I would have changed about the Lincoln is the taillights. On these types of large luxury cars I think the taillights look better if they extend beyond the trunk. The days of beautiful cars are long long gone!
P😊😊😊😊😊
Agreed on the taillights. I like the 80-84 Town Cars and the old Mark VI
As a die hard Lincoln man, I agree the taillights on the Lincoln fall short in the beauty department. Caddy has a nicer ass lol
@@NLJosh83 until the filler panels rot and fall off.
@@khakiswag they look pretty silly with missing filler panels, I agree
I've been a Cadillac-man for my 59 years now. I inherited my love for Cadillacs from my Grandfather! I wish Cadillac would really bring back the Brougham old style retro!
Yes i agree!!!!!
I agree I have an '86 Fleetwood Brougham in Light Blue
I'd buy a Brougham Electric sight unseen. Couldn't drive the gas one here in Europe, they kill you with taxes and 7$+ gas.
I've ALWAYS loved the Lincoln Town Car from the 80s since i was a little boy back then..it was the epitome of luxury/class and sophistication. Still is.
My grandfather had Lincoln’s when I was growing up, otherwise I prefer GM of this era
Same here. I was in high school during the '80s and I always loved this body style of Lincoln and I always wanted one. I didn't like the change they did in 1990 at first, mostly because I LOVED this style above. I eventually came to love the redesign, but this one here is my favorite. I'd still love to have one. On this particular one I would prefer it to have had navy like the Cadillac, but the red is nice. If we could only have beautiful, large cars like this again. I'd give up my truck and my SUV for it!
You have got to be kidding??? You will never out do the * CADILLAC*
@@RobertTroupe-j2m - nah, they always had a reputation for electrical issues after 5-10 years and then the NorthStar engine fiasco.
Until the 70s I agree with you about "luxury/class and sophistication" but by this time wealthy people were driving European luxury cars or the new Japanese versions. Caddies and Lincoln's were more for retirees and pimps.
My uncle drove his 83 Lincoln town car as a limo for 12 hours a day, then his associate would drive it 12 hours on the night shift. No rest for 6 days straight, with regular maintenance it went over a million miles and he sold it for $3500 in excellent condition
The Lincolns back then actually had better engines than the Cadillac. I believe it that it went a Million Miles! I worked for a Limo Company too and one of the cars was a not too sure of the year but probably a early 2000's Lincoln Town Car Limo! It had over 500k that's 500 thousand miles with nothing done to the engine except changing the oil the transmission though I believe was on its 3rd transmission rebuilt I believe.
I’m definitely a Lincoln guy at heart, but that Cadillac is beautiful too. Both are American luxury car legends.
My dad had a 1988 Lincoln Towncar Signature Series. Silver with Chrome Bottom Paneleling. With Grey leather. Loved that car. RIP DAD
ABSOLUTELY the Lincoln is the BETTER CAR. Shoddy GM craftsmanship turned me into a "blue oval" man 35 YEARS AGO
My grandpa went with the caddy, exactly like that one. It was a great car and he was very proud of it.
I have had both in the past... something about that ol Linc-basket just touches my soul. Smoothest ride I've ever had, period.
Nothing against the Caddy, but that Lincoln rings the bell for me! Gorgeous, GORGEOUS CAR!
cadillac all the way for me !
@@brentkiely657 both!(im greedy) 403 swap the caddy. looks exactly the same as the 307,but 180 horse/300+ torque
They are only good for funeral parlour. 😂😂😂😂
I’ll never forget getting into my Uncle’s 89 Town Car - equipped same as this one. It was brand new. I was only 15 and my Grandpa was in the back seat with me. My Uncle asks my Grandpa if he had ever seen a CD before. He puts in Lynyrd Skynyrd and blasts it. It sounded awesome & I was enjoying it. I look over at my Grandpa and he says to me “this is like a pimp’s car”. I don’t know if my Uncle heard this disapproving comment from his Dad, but for me it kind of ruined that moment for me - even though he was right IMO. Ironically, he also had an 87 Coupe DeVille. These “pimp’s cars” ended up foretelling my Uncle’s soon thereafter demise - as his lifestyle doomed his marriage and his family within that year. So, for me these will forever be “pimp’s cars” - regardless of how cool they truly were and still are.
Would love to have either one. In my opinion the Lincoln was a better build car. I’d be driving away in the Lincoln.
No it wasn't blood the was both well built just say you like Ford better that's cool
I did say it was my opinion and don’t need to be told otherwise. How about you do some spellchecking before you try to make a point. That would be cool.
I give the quality to the Caddy although both cars were ridiculously outdated in the late 80s compared to Mercedes. These are well kept examples though.
I owned one of each (1987 TC signature, and 1983 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham). Just from my experience, I think you're correct--the Lincoln was built better and far more reliable.. My caddy had better leather than a standard town car, but aside from a few material choices, the Lincoln was absolutely reliable--never an issue. The Caddy was not as reliable, and it developed rattles and squeaks by 50K miles that my Lincoln didn't have at 143K when I sold it. I didn't have many issues with the Cadillac, but it left me stranded a couple of time and needed more repairs along the way. I was so frustrated, I traded it off for the TC. The best car I has from that era was a 1981 Mark VI Continental 4 door. Emilio Pucci. I sold it at 155K miles after driving it for 15 years... I would take it over either of these. Goodness. that was a good car, and the interior was superior to anything caddy produced in the 1980s, and much higher quality than my Town Car. I shed a tear when the new owner drove it away. FYI, the most unreliable car i ever owned was a 1981 Caddy Sedan Deville 8-6-4. The only car I traded off early. Good car, garbage engine.
I would too, but I would use the Cadillac as a second Car, because I am a Fan of big Cars.
The Lincoln was better made, tried and true platform. Reliable drivetrain. But prefer the looks of the Cadillac.
This is Great! 2 Amazing vehicles in its day, still showing favor, today.
Lincoln, what a luxury car should be!
On the town car, the stainless rocker trim was not an option, but was an indicator of trim levels. The signature and Cartier came with the lower stainless rocker trim while the base has only a simple chrome bottom rocker trim. So you know at the very least it is a signature or Cartier if the wide stainless rocker trim is present
LINCOLN and CADILLAC when both were What a Luxury CAR should be and no longer are. Nice post Anthony!
I'm a Cadillac owner i love them had a 1990& a1992
I always liked the town car. I remember our life insurance agent had a town car exactly like that one and I thought it was really nice. You needed to also compare a 1989 Chrysler fifth Avenue with those two.
I’m 47 and I clearly remember how desirable that Cadillac was in time. What an amazing era in American Cars.
Same age as me. I rode in a caddie when I was in college. Some kid had an early 80's Cadillac. It felt like we were riding on a cloud. And this was in Connecticut on roads filled with potholes.
That has the Chevrolet engine is the best
I wanna say this, cars come and cars go,years go by and shapes and sizes and options change with the times but I honestly have never met anyone like Anthony and Papa Bear that show such a passion for these cars.I always tune in to Specialty motors' videos to see what these guys got going on.
Such a joy watching Anthony cover every single detail of every car he makes a video about. He truly has a love affair with these cars and appreciates them better than anyone I know. Thanks for the videos guys and keep em coming but I will say it again that 1992 triple black Cadillac Brougham D'elegance (HOLY GRAIL) you sold a couple years ago was the best Caddy I have ever seen!
I have to stick with my Lincoln's although the caddie is beautiful. I have to stay true to panther platform after owning a couple & crown Victoria's & town car 💯💥💝
Growing up I was more of a GM person myself, my dad owed more GM/Cadillac cars/vehicles. Ford/Lincoln wasn't a favorite. But now at 50 I just love cars no matter what brand. Choosing between these 2 particular cars....well they're both beautiful & big....just like me 😅😅. Love them both. Thank you for all your great videos
Just two beautiful different no one better than the other, both strong willed, well designed, both loved by many, used by some of the highest ranking individuals that all used them both to represent there wealth and love for unique luxury style and comfort, both owned by most of the classiest, most important people that used them both to fit the lifestyles of the rich and famous and both has served the people well ...they should be best friends or brothers from a different mother, both two of a true luxury comfort, styling design that did well ....
Instant like! I love when you talk about these cars, especially from your vantage point as an enthusiast of American Luxury. The late 80's were big sales years for Lincoln - 1988 was over 200,000 units on the Town Car which was a high point for American luxury car sales.
Town car all day but caddy is nice
Red white and blue color schemes, perfect for the 4th of july week review!
🇺🇸
When he says NOT FOR SALE, it means even if offered 1 million $$$ each... Seriously, this guy LOVES his vehicles !
These cars look perfect and deserve the most faithful of owners.
Thank you very much for video, respect from Russia, incredible american classic cars, my dream is drive the Lincoln
If you ever do, you will love it. I had the pleasure of renting a brand new one in 1989 and I think it's the best car I've ever driven to this day. Nothing since has even come close. Everything worked flawlessly and the engine ran so well.
Both of them are beautiful! The Lincoln won me over. I am surprised that neither of them had the opera lights. Makes them so elegant!
Actually, if you look closely, the Cadillac does; they are just innocuously located in the center pillars, very small and almost hidden by the chrome trim.
This
The Lincoln would have had opera/coach lights with a different roof style..
About the opera/coach lamps, they were first offered on the 1971 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham and Fleetwood 75 models. The first Lincoln to feature them as standard equipment was the 1975 Continental sedan with Town Car package (coincidentally, the 1975-1979 Continental sedan's restyled roofline was somewhat similar to the 1971-1976 Fleetwood Brougham).
I know two things , if they was to do a remake of both of these cars , i know it would definitely be a big success, many would i think appreciate what was, becoming a once again, remake with all the upgraded advanced technology and features we now have today, im almost certain, it would be a smash success especially if they was to come out at the same time, same day in a limited once again edition , which i know many would get just to have one again in its more advanced new aged version but mostly the same far as style and design, just to have the new one would be in the families of many who could now afford them ....
Both are great cars. Tend to love the Fleetwood Brougham way better. My late father had a 1985 Fleetwood Brougham and the 1990 Fleetwood Brougham. Drove them both and loved them both.
Love both cars! My late Uncle had both growing up, I was in awe of these cars when I got to ride in them! Thank you for preserving them!
You haven't done one of these comparison in a long time! I love these!!
81' Eldorado driver here. Cadillac all the way! 🤘🏻
I didnt think I would watch an hour long video from a channel I havent watched before, but I did, and I enjoyed every minute of it
Growing up in the 70s/80s in the Detroit suburbs, being the ‘company town’ it was for the Big 3- the streets were lousy with Cadillacs and Lincolns. Drive by the country clubs there and the valets would park the car brands together- looooong line of broughams loooong line of town cars- a few sevilles and Eldos, a couple of contintentals and tiny sections for jags and SL convertible Mercedes (rich wives under 60 drove those). Can’t remember seeing a BMW or an Audi!
Valets parking the brands together is a greaaat detail lol
Did you see any 1982-87 (fox body) continentals, they were the hustlebacks with the arch on the decklid
@@renj6531 I remember them. They just weren’t as popular as the town car- like the Fleetwood/sedan deVille body style I saw more than sevilles and eldorados. The continental I remember seeing the most of was surprisingly the boxy v6 version that came out in the late 80s…
I love the relationship that you and your Father have. I miss mine very much. We loved cars buses trucks boats. Almost anything with a engine 👍🏿🙏🏿
The Caddy is nice. I'll take the 89 Lincoln Town Car....if I had the cash and parking spot. LOL
God, I love the Lincoln... I am in France and I wish I could drive one of this beautiful car...for me the quintessential of beauty and comfort!
I always leaned to Cadillac growing up in a GM family back in the 60’s-70’s.
So beautiful! My choice would be the 1989 Town Car but I LOVE both just because I'm a Town Car guy ! These cars are so comfortable and make you feel like a million bucks driving them! LOVE LOVE LOVE those hoods with the hood ornaments! I always said that I feel like the President driving my Town cars down the road! That hood!!!!!! AND you can steer it with one finger! Just an amazing automobile! By the way, your right side cornering light doesn't work on the Town Car!
I was always a GM car boy/teen/man but have had a Ford or two in my (cough cough) sixtyi-ish years of my life...but I have to give my vote to the Town Car here. Something about the size of it I think. Or maybe I've turned an old leaf because I currently own a TC? But both choices here are great examples of their time (and that's due to who owns them).
Mam Lincolna 9 metrów,9 osobowy kierowca mnie wozi Dużo miejsca wygoda 👍Tom Poland
Got a little over half way thru and just thought i would say how good this review is. This is so detailed in the many fine features of each car. I will leave my final review when i am able to watch the rest. This is much better than Motor Trend.
I’m picking the Cadillac all day
I had both tha Lincoln is a much better car .
I love the Lincoln for sure my older brother had a 1989 Lincoln town car it was midnight blue with dark blue velor interior it was beautiful i love that car it had the blue vinyl top
one other thing Papa Bear about the Lincoln I like the power front vent windows 👍👍
Yes Rich that is a big plus with the Lincoln. Papa 🐻
I was always amazed by the front vent windows on the Town Car and loved them. Wasn't Lincoln the last car to feature them? I was so intrigued that when you rolled down the window the vent window came down first then the actual window. Just too cool. I'm sure it was born out of an era when many people smoked, but, that Lincoln held onto it for so long was nostalgic and unique. Same with the thermometer on the mirror; sort of classic elegance even though there was another option by then (digital). Somehow the digital would seem to make these cars less classy. Beautiful cars both. The Lincoln is my favorite as it was during the '80s, but this Cadillac is a beauty too.
My dad had an 88 town car - i drove it to work quite a bit - smooth as silk - could have used more power but overall very reliable - it was a cool bronze color- all he did was change oil and plugs - drove it all over zero issues- he drove his pickup for work but on the weekends he cruised in the lincoln w my step mom all over upstate NY, PA, VT - miss you pops -
The Cadillac is the Monster Car of all Times and that will never CHANGE. Believe That.
Nothing tops a 75-76 Fleetwood Brougham.
@@MrSpartanPaulEhhhhhh I dunno dude... I gotta tell you there's something about the 80s TC smooth and cushy handling that makes an 85-89 Town Car and the velour cushiness unbeatable imo!
The look is what seperates them. When I see a Caddy that generation I think Pink Floyd's 'The Wall', but driving one vs the other....... I gotta give it to the Lincoln.😮
Still don't out last that Lincoln !😂
The first time I saw one of these Lincolns was in '85. I had a summer job at City Hall grounds keeping, and it was the Mayor's car. It was black on black w/black cloth interior. I was so amazed at all those buttons on the dash-man what a car! I've owned several '88 and '89 Town Cars since, and loved every one! The only Fleetwood I had was the '96, w/the famed 5.7 Lt1 engine. I bought that car in '17 w/55k miles on it, and a lady ran a stop sign in front of me..I really miss THAT ONE of all...😔
Love both cars but I favor Cadillac. Especially with that velour pillow interior 😍
Mifren** it's more than the interior design. The Cadillac Dominates In Every Department and we been doing it since 1960" 63" Year's Ago and we're still going Strong and by the way do they still Manufacture the "Continental"😮-----😅
I noticed when you closed the sunroof that the rear portion lifted up slightly so that might be where some of the wind noise was coming from. Both are beauties. I agree about the GM filler panels. Ugh! All n all this video was a joy to watch. Time flew by and it's always great to see you and Papa Bear get excited about these majestic rides.
Along with those old school bodies, is the Chrysler Fifth Ave. Does not have the options as these two but for that soft ride, carburated 318, it's a classic look. Midsize compared to the two it was an option for those who did not want a super large car but opulence.
One thing that the 1989 and late 1988 Chrysler Fifth Avenue had that was unavailable in both the Cadillac and the Lincoln was a driver's side airbag. I also preferred the analog gauge cluster of the Chrysler to the digital readout on the other vehicles. The Fifth Avenue was just as comfortable as the Cadillac and the Lincoln; it's too bad that Chrysler saw fit to end production of their rear drive models after the 1989 model year. The front drive New Yorkers and Imperials were nice-looking and well-appointed, but they really weren't comparable to the Cadillac Brougham or the Lincoln Town Car.
I worked for a Lincoln dealership in 85 while I was in-between aerospace jobs and I loved driving around in the towncars
They are both beautiful cars! But being a GM man - I like the lay out and sound of the Cadillac more, plus coupled with the fact that in '90 you could get the 5.7. I love the relationship that you and Pappa Bear share with us! It reminds me of the one I had with my dad!
Thanks J.W. for being a True Cadillac*** Fan. Even the Cady front end looks better. Where do these Lincolnizer's come from. We've been #1 Since, For sure 1960" and that's Foreal.😮😮....😂
Well i always looked at them as the step brothers that had to learn one another on just how great they both are, and there parents was proud to have both of them such talented awesome ability two strong willed, advanced handsome sons from different biological parents, that they love both for what they are no matter how different they both are and for them to not allow others to make them feel one is any better than the other, they both are well loved and unique in there own ways so get along and dont fight
My favorite one is the Lincoln town car. The Cadillac is pretty tight too.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏾
My grandma had that same Lincoln, only hers was all burgundy. She loved and babied that car more than her kids for 30yrs.
Great video!!! You are very lucky to have these amazing cars, and its so nice to see these things in such amazing condition!!! I've always loved these land yachts. My favorite are these two cars as well as the panther platform. I hope to own a few of these one day and from your dealership!!! I have watched you for awhile and hats off to you for running a genuine dealership that sells really great cars and you know your facts!! They really don't make them like they used to. Just a pair of cars from true American automotive history!!!
Bravo😁
My brother and I use to have battles between Cadillac and Lincoln. He was a Lincoln guy and I had to be opposite. Whichever one was the longest was the best to us. Great memories!
Anthony it's the Cadillac for me 😊
Great Job***** That Girl!!! You're Right, I Fill The Same Way😊
I'm a fan of the molded headlights on the caddy, love them on the Caprice too.
I love both. I’ve always wanted an 80’s Lincoln Towncar. I do believe 89 was probably the best year for the 80’s Lincoln Towncar, however several things annoy me; I never liked the rear end tail light appearance when they made the change in 85 I think and also why did they not have a digital climate control, still using the sliders.
I had friends who had 91 Cadillac Brougham’s, I loved those too, they felt bigger and the classic style was still amazing. Tough choice to make now, both amazing in their own rights.
I hear you on the climate control being digital, but to me, the more analog or pre-digital version made it feel more classic in some way. I also like the thermometer on the driver-side mirror. I think I would choose it over the digital for its appeal and nod to nostalgia and yesteryear. I also love the vent windows on these. . .
I agree with you on the tail light appearance. I think they could have made a change when they did, but made them a little more classy than simply rounded and slapped-on like they tend to appear. I always wanted an '80s Town Car too. I'd've chosen about an '87-'89 most probably. I wish this one above was blue instead of red, but I don't hate the red at all. Both cars are beauties.
That's why you should choose the *Cadillac* compare these 2-CAR'S, Since 1960* we've been #1 Every Since. The choice is Simple "TREY"😅
Anthony, you did an outstanding job displaying and evaluating these two beautiful cars. This segment was very informative. Well done.
I agree with Papa Bear, the Lincoln is my go to but I am not a fan of the burgundy top… So I vote for the Cadillac 💰💰💸💸💸💪🏻💪🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️💵👌🏻👌🏻
I’ve an ‘07 Town Car Signature Limited. A favorite of all vehicles I’ve owned. My favorite attributes, the hood ornament and the analog hand having clock. The Brougham d’ is a gem 💎, as well.
Lincoln for me The build quality is way better and there plastics hold up !!!!!!
I own a 76 Fleetwood Brougham and the bumper plastic is perfect. Never been replaced as far as I know.
I've owned 3 and as for the 80s models, the door panels were total trash! Window motors failed regularly and AC had issues with switching from cold to hot. Other than that, my dark blue on blue 85 was a real head turner and pimp ride😎
Hey Anthony finally a subject I can comment on back in the day I was a limo driver and at first we had both of these cars in our fleet. But after two years we got rid of all the Cadillacs and were exclusively Lincoln and it wasn’t just one thing that Lincoln had over Cadillac it was everything from mechanical issues ( which was a huge issue ) the ride. Especially the feel of the car as a driver. I know in the New York City area I seldom saw a limo company that featured Cadillac. Even the customers were asking for Lincoln’s. The sunroof in the rear of the limos were not as big as the one you just featured. Maybe that’s because the coach builder put in smaller ones before we got the car
All that being said, I loved the comparison feature of this episode. You and papa bear are the best
I’m definitely not going to sleep tonight because I can’t possibly decide between these two gorgeous vehicles!!
Get some sleep dude he's not got either one of them up for sale so lick your chops as they say. Best you can do is dream about going down the American highway. Maybe driving a Lincoln but with a Cadillac tufted interior how does that go?
Anthony's lucky that he's found a job. Made a career out of taking and loving and restoring these cars. So that people can enjoy these cars there are very few of them still out there. That he is out there searching for these vehicles to bring to us to either perhaps buy?
But most of all he brings a smile to my face and probably to yours
I'm 62 and I remember a whole lot of this growing up as a kid. I remember when my stepfather brought home a 1972 Cadillac eldorado with a 550 cubic. Under the hood. He traded in his 1967. XKE Jaguar to buy this car. His choice not mine I was just a little kid at the time I think I was in 5th grade.
Hey dude believe it or not I just sold my 2008 GMC pickup with the rear 496 cubic inch V8 under the hood or 8.2 l. Add more power torque of the diesel truck the same year. I have to say this truck will pull anything it would pass anything except the gas station. Yeah I got tired of 3 and 6 mi to the gallon Owen towing something heavy. And that's here in California
@@kevinjohnson386 you and me both my friend. Never lose that obsession!
I'm from west Michigan, and a GM guy from birth. I had an 89 Lincoln town car, white exterior, white leather seats, and thick blue carpet. I absolutely loved driving that car. My all time favorites are the late 70's through late 80's olds delta 88 and 98. The best cars for long trips, nothing beats the full size cars with a small block chevy or ford. With nice long bench seats for a stretched out nap.
Town Car looks more presidential and stately, Brougham looks more gangster, both are beautiful! my uncle owned a 87 brougham d'elegance and loved it but it spent more time in the shop than on the road
The amount of detail on these cars both in their interior and exterior are amazing. Just a treat to watch this video.
Both absolutely beautiful. A true testament to Detroit, and two of its finest artists ever, Gene Bordinat Jr of Ford and Wayne Kady of GM. Just beautiful works of art these cars.
I would love either; however, there's just something special about the Cadillac. Even more so, should have been ordered with the 350.
I have a track suit that matches the brougham velour ❤
My dad had the Fleetwood Brougham. Nothing like driving a car that shows up before you do.
My grandparents drove Lincolns in the 70s, 80s and 90s. My parents, on the other hand, drove Cadillacs from the 80s, 90s and 00s.
I think I prefer the way the Lincolns of this era ran and sounded. Interestingly, my father, a transmission rebuilder and master mechanic always complained about not liking the way 'Ford brakes' felt. 😂 On a long haul highway drive, I think the Cadillac is nearly impossible to beat, from a comfort perspective. Also, I think the Lincoln is perhaps more technologically more advanced, but I remember the Cadillacs having automatic level ride. All-in-all, its a close one, but I think I have to roll with the Caddy. If we're talking early 60s cars, I would vote Lincoln all day.
Thank you for another video. Thank you for not using that plastic hand as a pointer. Very grown up.
which one rides smoother between these two boats ?
I think the Ford full-sized cars generally rode softer/smoother than the GMs. They definitely were more floaty and boat-like, which you want in a luxury car like this.
Fantastic video comparison and very well explained on every level. I'm 60 and currently shopping for my first true luxury vehicle. I've narrowed it down to Cadillac and Lincoln and let me tell you after several months of visiting dealerships, reading, talking to people and watching countless videos it's still a toss up. I'm literally no closer to a final decision and it looks like I'm going to really torture myself over this as it will be a very special purchase for me. Regarding this video, it just adds to my journey and I look forward to checking out more of your content in the future. Thank you so much for sharing.
$822 for the digital dash in the Town Car was big money in '89! And yet only $89 for the dual exhaust upgrade.
I think you guys are Professionals and should be recognized as being, no one does what you guys do so well.
Iim with Poppa bear - tht d'Elegance Velour is what puts it over the top
Thank you Jake the velour will make you drool I love it. Papa 🐻
By the way...your shows are great entertainment ...it reminds me of the days I could go to a showroom and select the options I really wanted in a car. Now cars are and array of computers and monitor screens.
Both Absolutely Gorgeous & GREAT Video, but I am with Papa, the Caddy all the way. :)
Being a GM guy until 1986, I never owned a Cadillac. But have owned a few Lincolns. Either one of these would look good in my garage.
Both queens of their time !
Both beautiful cars, my first was a Cadillac and I’ve owned two and loved them both, however since then I’ve owned several Ford products including a town car that I own now and I have to say the Lincoln has always been an elegant looking car almost “dainty” to a point. The 1980-1989 was always my favorite styles but I love my 07 Signature Limited.
The Lincoln with a blue top and interior like the one you had would win hands down! Not a fan of red. Thanks
Not So Big Guy. Cadillac will always be #1. You must be Dreaming and you probably own a "SUV"😢😢
Love both! But partial to the button tufted velour interior on the Cadillac
Anthony on that Lincoln Town Car when you're showing the window door locks and seat controls, one thing many people don't know is that little space at the end of the plate for the windows where there's nothing there was for the seat memory option that was spec'ed for these cars but never implemented. If you remove that switch bezel from the door and turn it upside down you will see in that empty space at the end of the bezel there's two screw slots and a mounting Square for the seat memory switch which for some reason never made it to production. Just an interesting footnote to those cars. Of another interesting note if you take a seat memory switch from any 90's Ford it fits into that slot perfectly and bolts right up
The real wire rims on the caddy are so cool.
ANTHONY YOU ARE THE BEST ❤ SAY HELLO TO PAPA BEAR ❤
Hello William. Papa 🐻 ❤️
Cadillac looking Great with those Glass Composite Headlights! Much better than the Plastic-lacks that came after!
Papa Bear,
I just have to agree with you on your choice, but I can’t keep my eyes of of either ones!
You know it!
The cadillac is much better looking verses the box looking lincoln. But where I grew up in newark nj the mobsters always hands down preferred the cadillac over the town cars even though the lincoln had a better ride. Gary tartell from northern nj thanks anthony for the comparison.
I've always liked the Lincoln brand. Even tho I own a Cadillac I've always been a Ford guy and Lincoln was that luxury car that wowed people. The Lincoln always seemed to be ahead of the times with all the up to date accessories and the smooth ride. I think the Lincoln has the better look and the smoother ride.
One of the last few years that Cadillac made these out of Texas and Detroit. When they were updated, they transferred production from the Clark street plant in Detroit to Arlington Texas, where they build the Tahoes to this day. The Lincoln was assembled in Wixom Michigan until 2007...both were American made, for American customers with dying American styles.
I agree with Pa Pa bears choice .
Thank you Bill it looks like the Cadillac has it. Papa 🐻
I’ve been a Cadillac fan since I was a kid. That Brougham is beautiful, Anthony!
I owned both (1987 Lincoln TC, 1983 Caddy Fleetwood Brougham), and I would take the Lincoln everyday and twice on Sunday. It was dramatically more reliable. I think they are both beautiful, but Lincoln was a much, MUCH better car.
Im from Albuquerque, New Mexico in the Hispanic culture we absolutely adore these beautiful vehicles.. me myself I absolutely love Lincoln's, Cadillacs, buicks, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Chrysler's, anything with a vinyl top or a landau top from 75 to about 93 except for like a 69 Lincoln Mark 3 the one was that v grill...oh man absolutely fabulous!!!!
