Hi Shin. I'm getting ready to descale for the first time. Should I still also use cafiza & cleaning cycle as you show in this video, or does the descaling take care of whatever this takes care of? (On basecamp I saw that we can descale with the group head taken apart which was what I was planning to do.)
Just checking in on the timing for the flush cycle. Coming from an E61 background, 30 seconds seems like a long time. I have always used 10 seconds for doing a backflush. Is 30 seconds still the recommended cycle time for doing this clean routine with the blank? Thanks!
It's actually 20 seconds. But, I checked the detergent manufacture just in case. And they said "it doesn't really matter to do it shortly for a few times or soak it for minutes and rinse it".
Thanks for the post!
Would you tell us more about descaling the Decent machine?
I'll upload a descaling video in few weeks~!
@@coffeeshin2788 May I ask where I can find the desaling video? thnx

Can I use citric acid for this process or is that just for doing the regular descale?
This is not the descale process. It's grouphead cleaning. You need to use the coffee machine detergent
What detergent do you recommend?
Anything is fine. But the Australian cafetto is nice.
Maybe. Somehow. It bursts. :-)
Isn't this the old method of cleaning? If so, please remove the video because it is giving outdated information.
