We throw a lot of things in the bin after we've used them because we think we don't need them anymore. Yet many of these things can still be used for lots of other things.
Whether it's orange peel, an old toothbrush or a roll of toilet paper. As you can see in this video, you can use all of these things in many other ways.
Afterwards, you will never look at these things with different eyes again and only use them for these purposes before you finally throw them away. So why not give it a try?

I keep old toothbrushes to clean jewelry, faucets, wood work, brushing dust out of intricate carved items, cleaning the car, and dozens of other things....but I'm not cleaning the toilet with a toothbrush!

Нержавейка ржавеет от агрессивных кислот. Например от уксусной, - которая содержится например в майонезе.
I have several containers of silica gel bags. I knotted some up into knee hi stockings and place them in shoes, especially my winter boots. I just can’t throw them away! Thx for the ideas! 💛

I put a few of those silica gell packets on the dashboard of my car, to help keep the windshield from fogging up in winter.
I dry seeds in jars from harvesting flowers.

I saved my phone with silica gel packs after i dropped it in water. I turned my phone off, dried it and packed it in a plastic box with a bunch of silica gel packs. Then I put the lid on and left them for a couple of days. Phone worked perfectly.

Pure water is non conducive.
What people do not realise is that water has many chemicals and particles as the water evaporates those particles stay on top of the electrical miniature parts sooner or later those chemicals will eat through and your communication device will stop working.
To clean properly the phone must be disassembled and the motherboard placed in a bath of isopropyl alcohol vibration will enhance the cleaning process.
So turn phone OFF.
Take to a technician.
Pay the money and use the phone.
Don't throw away aluminum foil that has been previously used and fairly clean with no gunky food residue. Roll up each piece (approximately 6x6 inches piece) into a ball. Put underneath the kitchen sink and reuse to scrub pots and pans. No need to buy a Brillo pad again.

My dad always struck a match, waited a few seconds, then blew it out and let the smoke cover the stinky air. I hadn't thought of that in many, many years!
Did you know that you should never use regular peanut butter as bird food? This can make birds very sick due to the salt it contains.
I can buy sugar & salt free peanut butter. Or one can grind raw / roasted peanuts into a paste using a food processor.

White vinegar instead of rinse aid works great in the dishwasher, no smears and keeps dishwasher free from scale
Yes but I've heard it's ruined some dishwashers... I have used vinegar for the cloths washer as well, in the softener side, and for soap. Careful with vinegar it also eats steel and will destroy soft metals like aluminum . Vinegar takes rust off of steel.

I actually use my orange cleaner all the time!
The silica can also be used in plant dirt it absorbs water and slowly releases the water into the plant.
You canalso put the silica bags in pill bottles.
I rasp the outer skin of oranges and put them in my porridge goes with all the other goodies my husband makes our whole rolled oats porridge with and I throw the pith into the landfill rubbish. Banana skins go into a bucket with water, soaked then get poured over the garden, in fact all other left over raw vegetable bits go into my worm bin which the contents go over the garden too, in the form of worm juice and the black soil they leave.
You can also put the citrus peels in garbage disposal to clean odors from sink and makes kitchen smell fresh
У меня были подозрения насчёт силикагеля. Вот прям такой, как на видео. В герметичной коробке лежало очень много иголок. И пакетик силикагеля. Примерно через год открыла и удивилась: именно вокруг пакетика геля была почти сплавившаяся ржавчиной масса. Иголки , которые были в другом краю коробки от силикагеля - не поржавели совсем и чем ближе к гелю - тем больше ржавчины.
Ну, логично - он вбирает влагу и рядом с ним она повышена, ведь его возможности не безграничны.
Поэтому надо разносить силикагель и защищаемые иголки. Это как со средством от запотевания стёкол
в авто - его брызгают на задние маленькие треугольные стёкла, и вся влага из салона собирается на них.

The first idea with the toothbrush was very handy. Although I have to say, it was very awkward at first to use the modified toothbrush on my teeth again-but eventually I adapted. Now I can go back and forth from one use to the other like a pro! My sister always told me that I had a potty mouth, and I guess she was right!

Freeze them in bag and save them for later.

When making porridge on the stove, do not let the bits stuck to the pot get washed down the plughole. Save them and combine with the empty seed shells from the peanut butter toilet roll bird feeder hanging in the garden and you will have a handy facial scrub.

Great tips 👍… I also keep silica gel bags from packaging and use them in any situation to remove moisture.
I’ve used them to dry out mobile/cell phones that have been accidentally dropped in water by placing the phone in a Tupperware type box with a few bags, same for a non-waterproof watch. A hair dryer on its lowest heat setting helps too. Never had a failure.

Number 7. Thanks but I use old tooth brushes to clean parts in my repair shop. I have plenty of other ways to clean the john But still not a bad idea.
Number 6. Orange peal cleaning fluid. This I already do. You can also do the same thing with high proof spirits and make an orange infused drink.
Number 5. Lint fire starter. This I wholeheartedly endorse! In fact I am smoking some meat later this afternoon and have 3 such lint starters ready to go.
Number 4. peanut butter toilet roll bird feeder. This one to me is silly and a waste of peanut butter. But I am not an ornithological enthusiast (bird lover).
Number 3. Banana water Ok if you live in the city but have room for a garden I toss the peals into a compost heap & get the benefit from the soil it makes.
Number 2. Silica jell packs. Oh Hells Yes Do this! If you have tools and want to preserve and protect them DO THIS!!!!
Number 1. Uh... Yeah I have no idea if this works or not. Never done it I use my lemon peals for zest in cooking or to do the same thing Number 6 with the oranges went over or my version mixing it with booze.

6:33 been using panty liners for this very same reason. For each trainer/work shoe, I stick two back-to-back, and place that deep inside, in the airing cupboard. Nice and dry, no smell, for next day use 👌. Also inside drawers, where condensation can build up. Gets rid o' the foosht 😊

Silica gel will absorb water until it's saturated. Once it's saturated it will have no function, so all these"tricks" actually don't work. You can however reactivate the silica gel by heating up to 150°C in the oven for an hour or so. Even quicker can be to use the microwave. Use a kitchen scale and weigh it before and after to figure out how much water it can absorb. Then note the dry weight so that you easily can weigh it again to see if it's saturated.
