  • We are at it again. A crazy leg workout at the one and only EliteFTS gym. This leg workout is a bit different as Josh is less then 3 weeks out from a show. Because of this we have to tailor the workout to what he can do as we don't want to burn him out. Give this workout a try and I know you will feel it in the AM.

    John Meadows is an American professional bodybuilder and entrepreneur with an intriguing story. While John now boasts a successful career as an IFBB Pro bodybuilder and fitness company owner, his journey towards the top was extremely difficult.
    Growing up, John never met his father, and his mother died at an extremely young age. This meant John only had his grandmother to take care of him. When his grandmother tragically passed away in 1999, John was left alone without his family to support him.
    As the years went by, John continued to face new adversities in his life. During his early days in bodybuilding, John suffered from a rare colon disease. After fighting the disease for several months, his colon burst - almost resulting in his death. Luckily, John was quickly rushed to an emergency room where his life was saved. After several months of recovery, John was finally back on his feet.
    Coming back into bodybuilding, John used the very obstacles that almost cost him his life as ‘fuel’ to grow stronger. Ever since he recovered from the colon surgery, John has gone on to become a successful bodybuilder, entrepreneur, and inspiration for many people all over the world.

    Yes John! I have a bit of a right knee issue and I can't use the Smith squat due to pain. The banded trap bar deadlift as a variation helps ALOT!

    Those dumbbell hooks look ideal! The ones I can find on Google aren't the same as those. Anyone know what brand they are? The ones I see are hooked at both ends, for hooking over a barbell, and having dumbbells on the other hook.

    Im not picking at your workout, but i have a question, you didn't do any calve exercises, I notice that in a lot of your leg workouts, do you hit calves on a separate day. Thanks ✌✌✌

    Hey john i noticed you have a wide neck and I've heard you say you dont train it but in your opinion is that a muscle that has to be trained frequently and what rep range you think?

      i dont train mine...if I were to do it, I'd probably opt for a little higher reps, but honestly I have put 0 effort into learning neck training

    These guys are strong but can they perform simple but essential body weight exercises like pull ups and 2 mile run? If the answer is no, they should go back to the drawing board and reassess their overall game plan as form always follows function!

      It's not their goal, you can't be excellent at everything you need to priotize on thing. And his goals is to keep as much muscles while leaning down. It's not about doing an exercice or endurance it's not their goal. But I see what you are saying and for normal individuals like you and me it's nice to have multiple goals and I agree with you 👍

      They are enhanced 230+ lb bodybuilders. Their game plan is to get bigger not become "functional" cross fitters.
