      hey mountaindog1 at the end of the video you mentioned that you prefer to do db shoulder presses with your arms slightly forward, is this because of tightness preventing you from pushing vertically or does pushing slightly forward work the shoulder muscles better?

    I've found out over the years that the key to big shoulders, at least when it comes to mid delt, that gives you the width shoulder look from the front. You have to let your ego aside and use lighter weight (15-20lbs DBs) and seriously focus on good technique (for lateral raises), guiding the lift with the arm and elbow and not with the hand. I see many guys using way heavier weights, because they associate it with "arm exercise", like you would for bis or tris, so they use 35-45lb DBs, way too heavy...

    • @burner00019
      @burner00019 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hi John first day back at the gym today here in Chester (Chester boxers and bodybuilding) these dumbbell videos you have put out are tremendous because you can contain yourself in one area and still get a great workout so thanks so much it’s so very much appreciated. Best wishes. Jim Harrison. Chester Cheshire. UK.

    Thanks John! This worked nicely as my second delt day, with overhead pressing on a different day.

    only JM can man up and go beast mode with the purple weights... most guys would scoff at that - JM was a true classic, so smart and taken too early - so many great videos and knowledge he had to pass... RIP...
