First will be doing 16 to 24 hrs intermittent. Will work myself to a 48 hour fast, in a few weeks, but for now, training my brain that's it's perfectly ok to go without food. I need to re wire my constant food cravings.

    This wasn't a good video. I normally like this channel, but the 'facts' were wrong here. IF doesn't work through calorie deficits. It works by causing you to get breaks from needing insulin to process foods you're eating. You lose weight because your body works better in general on IF, even if you increase calories. That's why it often goes with Keto, where you eat more fats and less carbs for total increase in calories. I lost so much weight so fast combining the two, but my caloric intake went up.

    • @bluorb
      @bluorb ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep, people are still stuck in the calories in, calories out is the only way to loose weight (as stated in this video). A calorie is not a calorie, it's what that calorie is doing for or against your body. A calorie of oil or avocado is SOOOOOOO much different than a calorie of sugar.

    • @goodwork887
      @goodwork887 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mister-_-muda7756 I couldn't get that many calories in without carbs, but was definitely more than beforehand. I actually had to go off keto entirely because I lost weight I couldn't afford to lose and only adding back the carbs stopped it. But I kept doing IF because I simply feel better, and my insulin levels are great every physical. I'm still a slim person, but the IF isn't about weight, but rather a more efficient metabolism.

    my weight has been in zig-zag for years with pretty solid exercise but poor diet. Intermittent Fasting these past months gave me RESULTS and with LESS EFFORT. Not only the weight loss and regain my curvy & athletic body posture; I also have better metabolism and appear at least 15 years younger than my actual age! People thought I'm at my 20's 🥰🥰🥰😂😂😂 LOL
    Anyway, you have to choose the right time for breaking the fast as you'll tend to get drowsy sleepy during that eating period and it may affect your concentration. So I prefer to eat close to the end of office hour when we have finished most of our tasks.. 😁😁😁

    it's a lot more than just reduced calories lol. one benefit is the liver enzymes after 18 hours of not eating, so eating (or drinking anything but water) has to be within a 6 hour window at the same time every day to be effective. (a concept "studies" fail to acknowledge) and another important factor no one ever mentions is insulin. everything you eat or drink spikes insulin which, long story short is a big culprit in weight gain and health issues.

  • @kayakMike1000

    Sigh... Calorie deficit is how it works, but if your hormones are screwed up, your metabolism winds down and you store lots of those calories rather than burn them. Metabolism can be improved through exercise somewhat, but fasting and certain foods can manipulate hormones in certain ways to make it work overtime.

  • @brahulrao

    • @Castapher
      @Castapher ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Their information is correct. Because all calories are not the same. The calorie from a piece of bread is not the same calorie froma piece of lettuce. You should start ignoring the "calories" and start focusing on the nutrients and their impact inside the human body. When there is fasting, the body produces the hormone glucagon which converts the fat cells back to glucose and then absorbed into the cells. Thats what you call burning the fat.
      But the most wonderful thing, the body not only produces glucagon. It also produces HGF hormone. So yes, fasting for 48 hours straight will make you feel "miracles" you have never experienced before.

    YOU'RE TALKING CRAP!
    Intermittent Fasting is about rectifying insulin resistance NOT calorie restriction; in fact you can maintain eating at your maintenance level AND STILL LOSE WEIGHT.
    Intermittent Fasting is all about making your body use up it's fat stores so once you have burned through your glycogen (glucose) stores, usually around the twelve hours point in the fast, your body switches to burning fat for the remaining fasting time

    Overall there is a health benefit ... i suppose a weight benefit as well.
    However your body becomes highly efficient with the food it receives. It is easy to put on weight and fat with any change to your routine. With your limited inputs ... you will also have limited outputs. 😉 As long as you know how you are reprogramming your body and then committing to that process it is a healthier and more efficient way to exist. Be very careful! Good Luck.

    When you eat less, you eat less.. MIND BLOWN!
    But for real it works, it's just funny how simple it is.

    If you know basics of math you'll understand that the amount of calories you take should be less than the amount you burn when exercising

    Personal experience is what counts. I know empirically that eating one meal a day (every morning) helped me lose weight dramatically. I don't need to watch videos like this to modify my knowledge.
