My husband and I both of us eat only two times a day. First meal 11 to 12 pm. Second meal 6 to 7 pm. Normal home cooked meal. No fad diets. Eating outside only twice or thrice a month. That too we try to have before 8 pm or by 1 pm maximum. We r doing strength training Zumba yoga under expert guidance. I have started swimming also at least thrice a weak. After two to three months we started seeing the results. Consistent weight loss and inch loss both. My husbands acidity issue got solved by eating twice a day. And gastric problem is almost gone. Now it has become our life style which we r gonna follow for the rest of our lives. 😊

    Sir,
Recently I whenever had gone through your videos on health topics, I found an excellent opportunity to come out of my all ills. I wholeheartedly try to follow your golden ideas, all based on good research.
As you frequently cited , last month I visited Ishwarya hospital at vilachery ,Madurai. I am fully satisfied with the treatment and medical care , poured on the needy, very old and poor patients.
So sir I assure you, whenever I go through a video on health I will donate some amount to that hospital. I want to praise you for your high philanthropic gestures on your part.
I pray Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi for you and your family to pour Iswaryam in all your ways of life.
    Thank you, sir.

Doctor. I am following your advice for the past 6 months. 16 hours fast and 8 hour eating window with OMAD (lunch between 2-4 P.M.). Stopped eating dinner. I’m a pure vegetarian all my life. I have seen amazing results. I hav dropped 12 kgs. 72 to 60 now. I am a 37 y/o and I am a patient of severe heartburn and acid reflux. After following your plan, I have seen a significant improvement.
But my family refuses to understand my intermittent fasting regimen and constantly forces to me eat 3MAD. They think my weight loss is associated with lack of nutrition. I have told them zillion times that I am not a kid and I follow a certified gastroenterologist. How much ever I try to educate about insulin quality and gastric enzymes, they have their own logic. I’m an adult which neither my mother nor my wife realizes. Huh, It’s bittersweet and highly frustrating at the same time…😢🙏🏽😅

@@mercythomas3795 I’ve been suffering with heart burn and acidity for the past 15 years. The below routine has helped me phenomenally. Eating includes anything with sugar even beverages.
      I follow 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. eating window. 8 hrs eating : 16 hrs fasting.
10 A.M. - Cacao (not cocoa) with tinch of coffee powder in milk and little brown sugar with couple of sugar free cookies.
12 noon (brunch): oatmeal with berries and banana.
2-3 P.M. one good lunch (one meal a day)
6 P.M.- tea with little honey, milk and couple of sugar free cookies.
Fill your stomach with 2-3 litres of water throughout the day.
I also do a 24hr. Fasting once a week. I choose religious day of the week to fast. You may choose any day for that.
This is only my regimen that works for me. Hope this helps.

Yeah, that's the bane of IF in an Indian family. I too face the same issue. I just fell sick once and the blame just went right to the IF stating that I have become weak . Ignore them for real. Keep doing blood tests for vitamin levels. Doing IF without any exercise or physical activity is not encouraged.. in IF, always break fast with protein and fiber.. stir fry veggies with panneer or tofu is a good option.. or even sundal is a great option.. ideal food to break the fast is egg but the others are also good

    1. 7 hours of sleep every day same bedtime and wake-up time! "Mobile phones are restricted inside the bedroom " sticker is pasted on my bedroom door! This we did for kids, so that we can spend some playtime fun time in bed with kids also discuss about things that happened on our day!
    2. Chia seeds / walnuts will be included in my breakfast smoothie! - but not regularly!
    3. Buttermilk- plain curd is an essential part of my diet on daily basis! Also for kids I'm giving a cup of curd post lunch as their dessert!
    4. Milk! On daily basis!

Hello Pal.. I lost around 15kg during covid through diet and high impact exercise which helped me in improving my overall health. I am 35 years old where i started having severe knee pain where I am diagnosed with Osteo Arthritis severely . Doctor and Physician suggests me to slow down as I am already in knee replacement surgery level. But surgery is all in wait list so I stopped exercising in last 6 months and gained already some 6 kg. Feeling so depressed that all my efforts are gone. I have started with your 16:8 window last 2 weeks. I am doing good. I couldn't walk much nowdays. All I do is just 2k steps which is needed for my day to day work. Hope this intermittent helps me in losing or atleast maintaining my lost weight. Your videos are positive. Thank you so much.

    • @aks6119
      @aks6119 ปีที่แล้ว +9

I'm sorry to know about your knees. You're so young. I have worked with people who had severe knee issues and the root of it was in their emotions, mental health. If the knee is at replacement stage maybe the replacement is inevitable, I'm not sure if it can be reversed by working on the emotions behind it but I'd think it is worth. Depending on the right or the left knee or both knees I have my own conclusions based on my experience with my clients. If this resonates with you it would be useful to speak with someone who works with the subconscious mind- hypnosis, NLP, inner child, past life regression etc. Please ignore if you wish to. My only intention was to bring this aspect to your notice if you haven't already looked into it. Thank you for reading this and I wish for you to feel good soon.

      May I suggest...
      Quit...
      Seed oils and seed flour...
      for a start...
Apparently it's the chemical that helps protect the seed that causes the inflammation.
      When germinated it almost disappears.
      Nightshade plants like..
      Tomatoes
      Potatoes etc can upset arthritis.
It's a matter of trial to see what affects you.
Also start doing tension exercises to get the muscles in shape long before the operation it will help recovery greatly.. 😻

Thank you for this Doctor. Knowingly or unknowingly I was following one by one each of these hacks. Curd was always essentially an integral part. The phone thing I was able to control over a period of time and the Omega 3 I used to resort to capsules after a family doctor recommended it for improving my HDL levels. So all these were fine and good until I actually started working out. I think all these supplemented my strength training even without me knowing as to how it can improve my body composition and visceral fat. I was able to get better results in one month with reduced waist circumference and an improved muscle density.

Doc, we are motivated with your intermittent fasting technique and practising to lose weight and adopt healthy lifestyle. Can we have cold pressed vegetable juice(Beetroot/cucumber/coriander etc … combination) fruit juices with empty stomach or after breakfast? Is it good to have these juices in intermittent fasting. Appreciate your efforts to motivate people with hummer 😊

Hey Pal, congratulations! Just wanted to correct an error - you mentioned 55 microgram Selenium in your video but the slides read mg which can be mistaken for milligram. Just thought you would need to know/act (I'm a doctor too - consultant anaesthetist, UK).

Amazing! I am 64 years old I am having knee problems. I can’t walk much. But I can do swimming well. When ever I am swimming I can burn around 400 calories and I eat quite healthy I feel but sometimes I eat fried stuff. Alif a sudden my BP was 210/110. Doctors were shocked. They kept me in observation and started Bp medicine twice a day. Now it has come 160/90. After a month I went swimming today. I am going to try your way of eating habits . Can you suggest for me . I don’t mind having a consultation with you.

    Hello Dr.Pal,
    I have couple of questions.
    1. What’s the best time to take the hip-to-waist ratio?
    2. For intermittent fasting, you suggest to have min. of 12hrs fasting. Since I am working men and taking care of two kids, is that ok to start with 8hrs of fasting, then slowly increase to 10hrs and then to 12hrs?
Would like to know your suggestions.
