      ive been doing intermittent fasting now off and on for about a year. no longer in menopause , losing weight has been a challenge. Due to type of job I have 16hr window doesnt always work. Any other tips assisting with this. I really enjoyed your video & yes would like to see more from a Drs point of view.

      Yeah it works. I lost 30 lbs. I just watched my portion sizes during my eating window. Mine was 16 to 20 hour fast a day. I usually had a zero calorie energy drink in the morning and a ton of water.

    4 yrs ago at 58 I lost 50 lbs over 5 months using 16-8 then 18-6 to this day. Never gained any weight back. I do weight training 2-3x/wk, HIIT bike riding 2-3x/wk. There are SO MANY HEALTH BENEFITS to IF. It took a good 8 weeks to adapt to IF. Those first 8 weeks were somewhat diffiucult/uncomfortable but I was loosing weight almost immediately and I was VERY HIGHLY motivated. Now not eating for 18 hours is NORMAL and easy. What could be easier than simply NOT EATING?
    I eat as much organic food as is possible, lower carb, higher protein/healthy fats, lower SEED OILS, -eggs/sardines/organic turkey from Costco, Nuts, grass fed butter,, plain Greek yogurt (zero added sugar), organic lettuce mix daily-85 grams/day. You need to research IF for yourself but it has CHANGED MY :LIFE. Keeping INSULIN LOW should be one of your primary goals.
    I never got VAXXED, NEVER GOT SICK IN THE LAST 5 years except for a minor cold 2 months ago. I went from 233 lbs to 183lbs where I remain. My waist (34)and weight are exactly the same as my senior year in high school. I am a 62 yr old male.

    Hello, I have been fasting one year now. One year ago, I was 40 lbs heavier, pre-diabetic for sure, and uncontrolled hypertension even on two medications.
    Almost by accident, I decided to do a 48 hour fast on July 18, 2021. It changed my life.
    I have varied my diet, calories, exercise, up and down, but fasting a minimum of 18 hours is single most important determinant factor. Most amazing is the BP dropped after only 3 weeks of fasting even before the weight really changed that much. After 12 months, the weight and BP are still stable (no more meds). Before and after blood work markedly better in every aspect. It is nothing short of miraculous!! I can't stop talking about it lol

    I tried one of those apps before i realized that I could find out what I needed to know right here on TH-cam. Thanks for letting others know without charging for the information. I was lucky enough to get a refund on the app. But I am the type of person that doesn't need an app like that. They never seem to offer recipes that real people eat and just so many other features you're paying for that you don't use. I got more out of your short video in a few minutes than I did in a week with the app. I would love to hear more from you on any topic. You're very good at simple explanations and your voice is pleasant to listen to. You do a great video! So, give us more, definitely! Thanks again.

    I do 22/2. Omad my time that my window opens is at 8am then I’m back on by 10 am and this works great for me. My body has adjusted to this way of life and it’s easy I don’t feel hungry.

    You won't believe what finally convinced me to try intermittent fasting! It was watching Survivor, and seeing how eating only once a day the contestants lost so much weight in a few weeks...Of course Survivor is a little extreme, but the principle is the same! I just had to tailor it to my needs and healthy eating. It's so easy, and so easy to get used to, I often find myself distracted being productive so that I slip into the 17, 18 or 19 hour fast without even realizing. I have lost 30 lbs of my 100 lb goal, feel great, look good, everybody wants to know my secret! Great video, thank you!

    always hated breakfast, unless i have it for dinner! seriously, i lost 70 lbs 5 years ago and have kept it off-- no more dieting, ever! love the freedom. wish i had known this 50 years ago! but, i lost weight after 60! so, you go, Doc!

    I have been trying fasting on and off for the past week, its not as bad as I thought it would be.
    I will commit to it for sure starting right now. this very minute :)
    I have already lost 140lb off my own steam, and i'm at that brick wall where nothing seems to change the outcome. so fasting will be a massive change to my body.

    I've done just about all the diets out there and the older I get the less effective they are. It seems the mature ladies have fallen off the radar regarding healthy weight, how to achieve it and keep it off. I think the most results I saw was when I went on the Joe Cross juicing plan. I found it easy, of course it can be time consuming, but my weight went down. I am going to do a 6 day juice plan which should fit in with the intermittent fasting. It's difficult to watch other videos with 20 somethings telling you how easy it is to drop pounds. Sure when I was in my 20's with a super fast metabolism I could get rid of 10 lbs in a week but not any more. I would love to watch more of your videos.

    Great stuff DOC! I have been using intermittent fasting for a couple months and it is working well for me. I go off sometimes but all in all, it has transformed my life and health!!     BURNING FAT AS I WATCH THIS‼️💪
    I lost about 100lbs in 2022 and have kept it off but my weightloss has almost plateaud this last year. I already eat low carb(not keto) but I started 14/10 intermittent less than a week ago and I can already see and feel a difference. My gut health is AMAZZZZINGGGGGG!!!! i can literally feel a difference and my body repairing itself. Definitely have more energy, smaller waist, more clear minded, and a lot less inflammatory issues. I even feel less "swollen" if that makes sense in my overall body. I also have been more productive overall. Way easier than I thought it would be and definitely adjusting soon to 16/8. Came across your channel and have watched a handful of videos today. Thank you for the tips geared towards women and age. It will be put to good use💯 if you time your window around your schedule you really don't go but a couple hours in the morning and night without eating. Don't know if I've lost any pounds bc I don't weigh at home ever, part of my weightloss strategy. But I'd imagine I've lost about 5lbs. Its so nice to just set a timer and be done with it. I will say the first few days I had "breakfast" ready to eat when my timer went off, but that fizzled fast. Yesterday I didn't even eat till an hour after my window began. Keeping my calories under bmr which is easy bc I eat healthy already.

    You gave a short and very much to the point overview of interrmitted fasting, I greatly enjoyed it!
    I’ve been doing it for a year now and just recently figured out that did not entirely stick to the rules as I would drink honey izotonic before noon…upssss….. so now beginning sort of anew but observed huge improvement in my body wellbeing anyway!
    Plus my friend has receintly just begun her fasting inspired by me ;)
    Do make videos about it! We will all be so much halthier if the idea spreads :)

    Thanks! Keep making the videos. I started intermittent fasting over a month ago. Yes, keeping busy in the mornings does help. My aunt started fasting about a year and had great success which encourage me to try it. 😊

    Hello, I’m 53 and I was not happy with myself. Everyone was telling me that after 50 your metabolism slowed down and all women become bigger. I did like that and I start don’t like myself! I tried different diets but nothing was working for me and one day I heard about 16/8 I start looking for more information and I decided to go.
    , I start this 2 months ago and I lost 8 kg , I’m also doing LCHF ! I’m very happy 🥰

    Thank you so much for such an informative video. I have been doing Intermittent fasting for a few months now 16/8 and it is always good to have more information and re-enforcement as we go along. I have found 6pm to 10am as a good fast period. I enjoy brunch :-)

    You have a very comforting tone, and it gives me hope for my journey on losing weight. I plan on doing this fast a try and start tomorrow. I am obese (not overly), and food is my huge weakness. I'm only 25 too. I needed this video about how our bodies were designed to go without food because I can eat, a lot, easily without even realizing it!!

    I'm 55 and have always been thin but was shocked to find out that my clothes were getting tighter and tighter (I refuse to buy larger sizes) and the number on my scale freaked me out - I've never been heavier. So I started intermittent fasting about 10 days ago and dropped 5 pounds in that time. Another 5-10 pounds to go and I'll be happy. I'm doing an 18/6.

      @@whatshappeningtoearth2934 It's the easiest thing I have ever done honestly! I have lost 10 pounds without even really trying. I mix it up - mostly do an 18/6, but on the weekends I do 20/4 or even OMAD. Use the ZERO app to track your eating/fasting windows.

    Wow Kim!!! Im not sure why but I really believe you! I'm also an MD ( retired pathologist). Im 69 years old. I have always been relatively thin and I am a total exercise freak. But I have reached an age where my belly fat is accumulating and I'm sort of sluggish. My husband started IF about a year ago and it really works for him but I didn't think I could do it. Just happening upon your video now and hearing you - a beautiful intelligent educated woman speak- really spoke to me. That's it- Im starting. I'll let you know how it goes! Thank you very much!!!!

    I love this video! I started month ago with intermittent fasting w/o any videos or verbal teachings. I read very little about it. I basically only read how many hours not to eat. I actually do it in the same manner as you. Only difference is I don’t have young children therefore I can have my last meal at 6 or 6:30pm most of the time - no later than 7pm. I get up at 4:30am no later than 5am. Then green tea w/lemon. I admit I’ve snacked on sunflower seeds til lunch time then eat a healthy lunch. After viewing your video I’ve decided not to snack on sunflower seeds until lunch time & after. Thank you 🙏🏽 kindly for sharing.

    saw a show with a doctor/author on book of intermittent fasting - he said start at 12 hours and you will reap huge results, which can be done overnight. he intermittent fast 16 hours a day and said you can build it up however with 12 hours say 7pm-7am works just as well. He also recommends you can drink water during your evening before bed and that's perfectly fine. I've been using this method, sometimes i go longer since I don't eat so early as 7am and feel better and lost pounds. Great video an easy way to better health and weight loss.

    I started intermittent fasting back in May of this year because I had a friend that was doing it and she was having a lot of success. I've lost 15 pounds since then, but have had some delays because I have to go on antibiotics for 3 weeks. But now I'm done taking them and ready to kick it in the high gear. I'm also slowly going to start lifting weights. I saw another video where a woman was saying that you can keep intermittent fasting and your body will level off at the weight its supposed to be. I'm excited to see what that weight will be for me. I have to lose about a 120 more pounds to be at my ideal weight.

    I would love to see more videos!! I started fasting 6/22/22 and I love it!! I’m convinced it is the new way of life for me! I still have a lot of weight to lose but I already feel so much better!! I think IF is so much more than losing weight!!

    I'm very new to the intermittent fasting. So, at the moment I'm doing the 12hr fasting. Which I chose to start my fasting at 12am-12pm. I started on Sunday May, 28, 2023. So, after 12pm I try to start eating when I feel hungry. I'm going to see if this will help me lose some weight. I'm 31 about to be 32 in July and my weight right now is 174. I am also 5'6 in height. I pray this works for me!

    I did my 23 hrs fasting or one day meal is really effective. Only difficult to start but if you can do it wow you will be happy the result.

    ❤ hey Kim thank you so much for your information. I appreciate it. I have been wanting to start something like this and believe it or not. I try to end my meals pretty regular about 7 o’clock. I don’t want to eat anything else I will have a cup of chamomile tea, but I have been in the habit of eating clean but I do have a breakfast so if I can just take this and stretch it till noon time I’m going to start the same one as you posted really makes sense to me. I do my walks in the morning. I do a strength training. Also, here I made my bike in the house try to keeping really active but I’ve been wanting to get some poundage off ha ha ha I am 73 and thank God feeling well, so thank you once again for all your information
