Lowered the Escalade yesterday and part of today. Every part in your description was on point. I had to drill the front strut bracket hole a bit bigger and cut off the bottom of the lower ball joint. Other than that it fit on perfectly with a little elbow grease. Must have watched this video about 80 times to remember all the steps. Thanks again man! Video really helped!

I noticed that the parts you're using come from different manufacturers. I see that DJM sell "complete kits". What made you decided on using Belltech springs instead of the ones available from DJM? Also, Maxtrax and Belltech kits don't require the control arm and sway bar to be relocated (they only have shock extenders). Is this a necessary step that yields better control/ride? Thanks in advance.

Hey Travis, did you reused the 18mm nut/washer from the top, or use the nut that came with the new struts?? Just curious, cause the Belltech struts I got, the middle threaded shaft is smaller in diameter than the original ones, so am I suppose to use that 18mm as a washer under the provided nut??

Great video and instructions, much appreciated. I have a 2008 4x4 Avalanche with autoride and don't like how the front is higher than the back. To keep things manageable (have not done much work on cars) would be happy to just drop front. Do I understand it right that I could keep everything stock (autoride) just by using a drop spindle? And would it be better in my case to use 2509 instead of 2511 spindle you used? Thanks..

It has high back buckets with the adjustible headrests. My chair is a quickie GPV with quick release wheels and a rigid frame. The passenger's seat has a lever on the side about halfway up that makes it slide all the way forward to allow passenger access to the rear seat. You hit that, and then put the wheels inside leaning against the back of the passenger's seat with the axles facing each other so the fat buttons don't get tangled in the spokes. Then you grab the frame flip down the back of it, lay the driver's seat back as far as it will go, pull the chair across you and set it on the seat behind the passenger next to the wheels. Then you sit the driver's seat up and drag the chair behind you, then move the wheels against the back seat (they are on the floor still standing upright) and push the passenger chair back til it locks. It sounds complicated, but it takes all of about 30 seconds once you get used to it.

If you are planning to do more than 2" spindle and retain auto ride yes. Most do away with it over 2" you could use drop cups on stock struts but I have never used that method.

So I'm doing a norcal ss drop kit with street performance shocks in my 2011 escalade. The resistors you linked say they're only good for magride which I have in front of my escalade. It says will not work with air shocks, so does that mean they won't work if I replace the rear air shocks?? If not do you know of any resistors that will?

Hey wuzzup brother , I have a 2/4 drop on my 2007 suburban , I have beltech spindles and stock shocks in front , beltech drop springs and beltech nitro drop shocks & free travel mod in the back . I recently ordered the djm lower control arm relocation and sway bar links kit after seeing your video . I’ve been getting a lot of swaying in the back when I go speeds over 50 on the freeway it’s really bad that’s why I decided to buy that djm kit to see if it fixes my problem . My question is do I need to install the shock extenders if I have those beltech drop shocks? Just trying to install the kit right so I can get rid of the swaying in the back and get my truck driving good again . If it doesn’t fix my problem I mait have to try sphoon pan hard bar .
