Im working on getting a tahoe and my idea is to drop it, all my friends tell me to get silverados instead but id rather follow my heart get the tahoe since I’ve always love those cars since a kid and now im watching this to be able to drop the truck after i get it this was very helpful keep up the good work boss 💯
I just ordered the Belltech 2/4 kit. Probably only going to go 3 in the rear because my Yukon is an XL and she might see some weight in the cargo area.
TWA Motorsports Finished the front drop this weekend. Swapped out everything, upper and lower control arms, belltech knuckle, hub, sway bar links, and the belltech sp shocks. Rear will get done next weekend.
Came across these videos when I had my 04 Cateye single cab I lowered it watching these videos now I own a 05 bubble eye Burban definitely going to lower it watching this video🔥🔥🔥 great content
Did you have to cut any to avoid to much tire scrubbing? If you didn’t what wheel size did you have? I have an 02 Tahoe and I would like to avoid trimming if I can
@ if you go 4 or lower in the rear you have to cut out the bump stop so you have more travel and so it won’t slam the rear end im on a 305/40/r22 in the rear and 285/40/r22 in the front it’ll only rub on full lock turn
I have a 02 denali xl about to do the same thing 3/4 drop. Thanks for showing what to do front and back. Glad I whach before I got started. Cant wait to see more vids.
You did a great job...who doesn't love a slammed truck...that's what modding vehicles is all about...taking something and making it different than factory...but it still functions well if not better!!! Thank u for this video.
And hell yeah thats a bad ass useful tahoe. I was stuck at a home depot, no 4wheel drive😢. Drive through ice like nothing and look good. Good job. Great video
I have been waiting on this video since you bought it. I knew it would make a ride. Ironic tomorrow I'm putting helper bags on my 12 avalanche so glad video came out today. I used your parts list slamming it. Awesome! ✌
I'm liking it. I never cared for the Yukon or Tahoe until recently. I was a Suburban or truck guy, very utilitarian, but I get it now. I'd like to do a Tahoe Z71 sort of like this but with a Denali/Escalade AWD transfer case, a poor man's Denali, fun and comfy cruiser.
Want to say that I love the way it came out. I have a 03 Yukon Denali XL that I was thinking about lifting it, but let’s face it I live in Florida and you’ve just changed my mind on what to do with it. Thanks for all the info and just subscribed to check out more of your stuff. 👍🏽
Love the step by step break down on the how to. Much better then most other channels that just show the finish product at the end of it. Tahoe looks great dropped. Two thumbs up brother
I did something similar ended up with 29.5 inches middle of fender to the ground. Running 295/40/20. I have to jack it up to get it on my lift. I added rear load bags for when I tow my drag car. But tuff asf man good job

I bought a 2004 Yukon Denali someone had lowered but they didn't do everything you did I got to do some of the things you did to see if it's halfway rightthanks a lot for the video it helped me out a lot at least it's a beginning
Thank you for your help and your video I think I need to the metal out where the stops and relocate the put the trailing arm extensions on and a sway bar lynx
Hey man thanks for making this detailed video, 2 days ago I bought an old 2002 Escalade 6.0 AWD it came on a set of 22’s and the air ride is blown. I was looking around how to slam it since it looked good laid out lol. I now have my answer how to slam the rear properly.
I'm planning on doing this to my 2006 chevy tahoe 4wd. Thanks for this video. I am planning to go mcgauyhs spindles in front but bell tech front and rear performance shocks and struts. I already had the whole exterior raptor lined.
I had 2/4 drop on my 04 yukon denali. The front were 2” torsion key and im having problems trying to level it with the rear. I want the same height as the rear but after I installed the torsion key in the front it just slammed the front down. I tried turning it up all the way and turn in down and it looks like it’s not going nowhere. Your tahoe look sick🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for this. It is weird that 5 months ago I was checking YT for videos to help me figure just which route I want to go with a static drop on my 05 Z71 (2WD) but couldn't find what I was looking for and apparently a month later you uploaded a video with the exact stance I am wanting. Even down to the tires and wheel sizes.
2006 Suburban is what we have, it’s a project one or for messing around with but we loosened the torsion bars all the way and removed the spring and shocks in the back. It was slammed low but way to stiff to drive around in😂
Love the look! In my opinion I would swap the wheels off of the Sierra on to the Tahoe beings that it is a “Tahoe” wheel and not only that I just believe the Sierra looked so much better with the machined stocks
Looks awesome, haters can hate but it's not their vehicle. I'm trying to decide if I want to lift or lower my 2016 Silverado Z71, going to think about it a little longer. Great video!
Hey Travis thanks for all your work, i have been watching a lot and have jumped back in and bought a 2003 Green Z71 Suburban w 108k miles in Fine shape...its arriving tomorrow and i have had a month to order and collect all the stuff you used for the Tahoe will be used on this Sub, Lowering and lighting and i also added Hellwig Sway Bars, pricey but Sweet!
Look so good I had to find out how you did it. Looks a little complicated but you made the video so we'll. I'm going to do the same next year. I finally bought my 2000 Chevy Tahoe. I also took off the roof racks. I'm doing the same replacing the bolts to shorter ones. And painting them. I would prefer if they made small caps that go over the bolts in white. Thanks buddy. I also ordered everything from Amazon all lights all LEDs. I also took off the running boards. And I also took off the side moldings. And also took off all the emblems.
@@eastpaloaltosfinest i lowered my escalade the cheap way simply adjusting front torsion bars and cutting rear springs, i also replaced all shocks and it will NEVER Align correctly now im going through tires every six months !
Thank you so much for your detailed video, I purchased all the parts and finished my install this weekend. I went with 22" wheels on 285/45/22. My vehicle is a 03 Tahoe Z71, that I purchased for $500 (bad transmission), I've rebuilt the transmission, now I'm working on top-end, replacing gaskets, seals, etc.. Body and paint next. With all the ridiculously raised to the heavens Tahoe's around the country, it's refreshing to see a properly (not slammed to the concrete and undriveable) lowered Tahoe. Looks fantastic!
Really like the stance on the Tahoe! I'm looking at doing my 05 yukon Denali the same way and that kit u used looks like everything i need as well. But I want to keep my factory wheels and tires and although I don't have the autoride anymore I do have a leveling system that uses the same wiring harness and compressor. But when looking at all the lowering kits it seems none of them have everything i need and there are so many I don't know which to use. Love your channel! I'm just like you! I can't leave anything alone and always want something different lol
I did the 3" 4" drop on my Denali turned out pretty good. Now I'm about to change to the late model ltz wheels and just curious about ur tire size. The factory are 275/55 and u went with a 45. Is it because u think the 55 would be to tall or rub? Thanks again I know you get slammed with comments.
Ok sorry I found the video where u put them on. I think I'm going to go with the 275 55. I think it will be good fit with the 3-4 drop. We will see thanks again.
I have an 04 escalade that I did torsion keys 2-3" and rear 2" springs with extenders and belltech sport shocks looks like I have to do spindles since the ride is bad in the front with 22" wheels and the rear will bottom out over big bumps even with bump stops trimmed I may have to do free travel mod as well.
TALENT! I love seeing guys doing this at home CORRECTLY and saving money but also doing the job right!
Thank you. I appreciate that
