Is it safe to use the 3" or more drop spindle if I want to go lower in the future or why should I only use that one insted of the 2" ? I really want to buy a kit but would want to hold off on slamming it and don't want to spend dubble the money
Yes. It is fine
I plan to install this kit to my 2009 Chevy Tahoe 4 wheel drive with air ride, My questions are, Do i need to do anything to the front to adjust the air ride only doing 2 inch drop with spindles and any chance you can tell me how much the new air ride sensor rod measures for the back? doing the 3 inch springs with the shock extender
No adjustments for the front. Adjustment rod I start at 3" and go from there.
TWA Motorsports Thank you hopefully I will do this drop this weekend
You're welcome and hopefully it goes well
@@TWAMotorsports i did the kit and was good but i had to replace rear air shocks due to leaking now it is lighting up abs and traction and stabilitrak. Do you know wat it can be? my guess is to re adjust air ride rods
@@elchuecotrujillo971 it may be that or something unplugged. Check abs lines on top of frame in the rear. Very common for them to unplug
When does the auto ride work? I just bought a 09 Yukon denali and I'm not sure if it airs up or when it does? My navigator aired up when the key was on the on position and lowered when you turn off the key. New to GM btw😅
It moves when it senses weight
Welcome to the GM club experience you are now home FORD NO MORE... BTW a road trip is when you'll really fall in love with it. Enjoy...
Awesome video. Quick question though, did you have to change the front autoride height rods like you did the rear, and what measurement did you go by on the rear ones? Also did the rear ride height rods come with the belltech kit? Thank you
No on front as drop is in the spindle. It did come with rear rods.
Do you use shock extenders on the BELLTECH shocks?
Yes
Quick question. I just clicked the link for the drop kit and it says it won’t fit my vehicle. But it’s the same one from the video. I have a 2012 Yukon Denali awd and it says it won’t work.
It says that because it is parts for different vehicle. It will work
I’m lowering 4in in the rear do I need to change the auto ride sensors length or can I leave those as is ? Also with 4in drop keeping my shocks the factory length with shock extensions to I need the travel mod ?
I would do the travel mod and get shock extensions. Rod needs shortened
My vehicle has factory 20” tires. How does that affect my use of the kit shown in the video? My vehicle is a 4x4.
Doesn't affect it at all
If I replace the shocks do I need the shock extenders if so why and no I don’t have auto ride
I think so because they are not in the proper geometry without
TWA Motorsports ok thank you
@@frankm8030 you're welcome
Did that kit come with front uca bushings? I got the same kit and mine came with them just wondering if i need to bother with those
No it didn't
Quedo bien con los spaser
Con los originales parece q iva volar
Chido tu vídeo de volada y sin ablar tanto
I'm guessing there is no difference between this and the XL? wife has 22" with 305/40 on it. Looking for this. Why wouldn't 2" springs in front work instead of spindles? Or would it? Had a 4/6 on my 2000 silverado and went back with a 2/4. Looks just as good but functions as a truck again. Just looking to save a little money.
Great video by the way.
Springs will not work well with autoride shocks. No difference in XL model.
Thank you
Thanks!
Springs seem soft to me
I lowered my 04 denali / rides horrible / has front spindels / rear springs belltech all around with belltech shocks.. do I have to cut the front jounce stops?
yes they need trimmed a little.
Yo does anyone know if someones lowered a lexus gx460, getting one soon and I haven’t seen anyone lower them
Where did u buy the shorter auto ride bars for the sensors for the auto ride?
They come with the kit listed in description.
Goodnight I have a 2013 yukon Denali with air ride, checking the belltech page they say I need to use 751 kit but I see you use the 753 kit and in the page they say that the 753 kit does not fit my truck, should I buy the 753 kit anyways? I want to lower it 2/3" hope you can help me with that info
That is what I used here but if you want to use different kit I'm not sure if it fits.
@@TWAMotorsports thanks a lot!!! I will then use the 753 kit
You're welcome
So you could do a 2/4 and keep the stock air shocks?
You can
@@TWAMotorsports how do you make the compressor stop running constantly? I did a 2/4 drop on my Escalade and the compressor keeps running. Did you cut the sensor rods??
Thanks
Yes you need different rods.
I have same truck and I'm looking at the Belltech 753 kit (I want to keep autoride if at all possible), would it be possible to add the Belltech 1-2 inch front springs to the factory struts and retain the front autoride (using the spacers to keep it at 1 inch spring lowering and the spindle making up the rest) in order to leave the back at the lower setting without the puck spacer??
No because it would kill the struts
@@TWAMotorsports Thank you!!! Appreciate the quick response, I'll stick to the kit and if I want to lower it further I'll get the Belltech struts from your Tahoe video. Appreciate the response!!!! Awesome and extremely informative videos!!!!
You're welcome
@@TWAMotorsports wonder why the link in the description is telling me this kit wont work on my 07 denali chief? I wanna get it,and im LOOKING at the same SUV i have being lowered.
@@Gorealaracer38 probably because they don't want you drop 4wds
No free travel mod on 4 inches or less ?
4 or more
Is there anyway to lower the front more and still be able to have the autoride active?
Spring cups.
I would like to do a 3” front and 4” rear and maintain the autoride. Would a spring cup in the front still allows this much drop?
With spindles yes
I am about to lower my envoy Denali
Different deal on that.
Looks good.
Thank you
Is everything you need in the kit you listed or do you need to add the other parts to the kit?
All the parts I used are listed
I have 08 escalade, how do i bypass the shock sensors?
I did a drop on my 09 black tahoe and there is a link in description for bypass modules
How much does the rear raise up when compressor turns on?? Would it have more of a rake look??
It doesn't raise it a ton. Maybe 1/2"
Did they stay with the final stance or opt for lowering struts with no spacers in the rear?
So far they have stayed.
TWA Motorsports THANK YOU for all the GM SUV lowering series videos you’ve put out. It’s because of you and your tutorial videos that I was confident enough to do my first ever drop on a vehicle (07 Escalade). I hope your channel gains much more popularity and best of luck moving forward.
Thank you. Glad I could help
What dropped kit did you use to get it done
All parts listed in video description
What did you end up doing? Changed the front struts or left it the way it was?
Looks good!
Thank you
TWA Motorsports Great work and cool projects.. I lowered a 2000 Dakota and gave it to my daughter.. and next up is buying my little bro’s low mileage 2002 T/A
@@Superkid778 thank you. Lowered Dakotas are good looking and well if you have been here long you know how I feel about TAs lol
TWA Motorsports heck yeah! I’m a F-body lover ever since I had my 86 IROC.. and T/As are pretty awesome!
@@Superkid778 I would love to do an iroc some day.
Could you have used 2" lowering springs in the front?
you can but I like spindle 2" drop better
I meant could you have used the 2” springs with the drop spindles to achieve 4”.
@@tomgraham815 yes
where did you get the shorter auto ride rods from ? does it come with the belltech kit you used ?
They came with this kit but can be made out of all thread
@@TWAMotorsports thank you for the reply man they did come in the kit! But they didn’t send me the spindles smh .
Great video man!!! Question, can you still tow with this drop?
Thank you. Yes I have but not a lot. These people pull a boat occasionally with this one.
@@TWAMotorsports cool, i would just tow show car 2-3 times a year
Should be fine then
@@TWAMotorsports plus, I got Helper bags
Even better
