i feel like ultimates such as Brig's suddenly fell off and feel terrible all of a sudden in OW2 is because in 6v6 the meta was usually for everyone to pop their ults all at once, so characters like Brig always had a ton to synergize with. but now usually only like one or two people ult at a time in this game, so stuff like Rally became a lot less valuable
Rally used to give massive resistance from the armor generated- now that it's overhealth instead, it ends up making significantly less of a difference.
its the nerfs to brig over time accumulating plus the meta being “one shot or be one shot” so heals over time and sometimes armor over time is tuff
It’s not that it’s the fact they took the armour away. Brigs rally in OW1 would give armour and feel super strong but now it only gives overhealth with literally does nothing. Junker queen and torb have brigs ult on a cool-down.
plus her ult is expensive compared to other ults
@@haiderz4510 Yeah, it's kind of like a worse version of Lucio's ult now because they effectively do the same thing except Lucio gives a ton of overhealth immediately (which gradually lessens over time), while Brig ult slowly gives overhealth over time. Sure the overhealth doesn't really go away unless you get damaged, but still, it's not like it can save you from deletion ults like bombs and whatnot.
Moira ult's definitely an A. It is criminally good in combination with some others like Orisa's and Zaria's, and still extremely good at keeping your team alive (specially the tank) while zoning off the enemy team.
And let's not talk about the occasional war crime that is solo ulting someone in their backline just because you can.
especially with Ramattra too. You kinda split the priority between you or the Moira, since the two of you are melting down teams while Moira keeps you alive.
With a Nano? god.
The only thing it's good at is healing. You won't get any kills with it in higher ranks. Too low damage, easy to cc counter. And just a good amount of healing is basically a worse zen ult

Sadly it restricts your movement cause you can't cancel. Also very easy to get stunned, and one-shotted out of it.
I remember one game where i put up a window as bap in front of my team's widowmaker. A window for a widow - one shot 200hp targets with just bodyshots. Funnily enough, they got play of the game because of that and I got a thank you in the chat. Accidental gaming.
I remember mercy getting play of the game cuz she rezzed me, and I was reaper and from the background all you hear is a muffled "die die die" and 4k along with mercy slowly turning around. It was actually hilarious

Absolutely right with the tracer ult. It feels like the hit box is half the actual size of the ult itself, and if it’s not a direct hit it does little to no damage unless they’re standing directly on it

plus it feels like the one of the most easily cancelable ults in the game. shields eat it, dva&orisa woof it up, any cc/hack mid deployment and its gone..

nano or fox + soldier is actually so damn strong. Its extremely dominant in plat and diamond because cc isn't as consistent there
Sigma right now in all categories IS an A tier, which is absolutely perfect. He is easily the most balanced character right now. He can counter and he has his counters. He can win team fights but also takes strategy and skill. Right now his ult is perfect, high damaging and great for winning team fights, but can't be instantly op with nano or damage boost because rn neither of them effect its damage.
Agreed, which is why I think the recent change to his rock in season 4 was good. It takes away the honestly unfair one-shot but it gives more team utility. Overall a great character who fits perfectly in the game.
Most balanced character
My friends and I were goofing off in quick play one day and I was on tank. I am NOT a tank player, kay? So I decided, hey new Orisa is really fun, I'll do that. One of my friends played Symmetra and we did the ult/TP strat that Seagull did with Emongg and I got nano'd as well (it was the last 5 seconds) and it was awesome
It's insane how many ults are invalidated by suzu
I think junker queen is A tier because purple is that good and you get a lot of life steal. Kiriko Suzu just makes it feel worse because she’s in every game right now so you have to play around it.
Yeah just think about how good it is when not cleansed. I feel it’s not too hard to hit 3+ targets with it and for 200hp characters the bleed/anti is almost certainly going to lead to their death. This ult wins fights.

Biggest issue with JQ ult is it normally puts you out of position

I feel like, unless the enemy team is completely deaf, Mcree ult only gets value from a flanking position or by sneaking up behind the enemy lines and even then I feel like players that of above average skill level can easily react to him and shut him down
Sombra ult also does 40% and it pairs INSANE with sigma
I have like 400 hours on Ana and I'd argue Nano is more high A tier. Sure there are some great combos that can absolutely waste a team, but if your comp doesn't have a good combo you pretty much use it defensively, which is still pretty good value, but is it as much value as say Overclock or Rip-Tire? The value is a lot more contextual while those ults can get value in most situations
imo people overrate nano because it's so often used in combination with other ults like blade/blossom etc. So yeah you're going to be almost always getting a good amount of kills when you use nano like that, but you're also popping two ults so it should making a big impact. It is a very good versatile ult though, but I don't think it's one of the best ones either.
You have to choose who you hit and it usually doesnt do shit and I notice 0 difference. Compared to the other support ults its garbage
i mean i got an idea to improve nano but it would make it busted af is cleansing debuffs and i still feel is a lot more fair than suzu just because is 1 single target and 2 tied to an ult and not a regular cooldown
I've played a long time on both Asian servers and NA servers and there is a huge difference in the support play, like on Asian servers you can afford to play tank so much more aggressive than NA cause the supports will adjust to you versus in NA where I always got stuck with a moira or kiriko and if I don't play sigma hog or orisa I'm just feeding

Kiriko's ult is busted even if you don't have ult ready. That faster attack speed if used correctly can help you get ult faster which in turn will allow your team to secure the next team fight a bit better.

honestly for Shatter, if the enemy has kiriko, or in a rein v rein, its D tier. it's always gonna get shielded or suzud. in other situations it could be B tier, or even A tier if the opponents don't respect rein enough.

Wrecking balls ultimate is perfect for wrecking ball and fits his kit very well. But also its on wrecking ball
Orisa can be insane depending on if your team is paying attention. ANY aoe is lethal with the pull + dmg it does (assuming you do a short charge). Hell even brig dashing and swinging is gonna be deadly
If u ult with hanzo from spawn when u die u can clutch sometimes bc they can't hear it and they just don't know its coming so I thinks its either b or c
I like to believe he made this tier list just to put Ana's ult on S tier because he played against ML7 and YZNSA double stack.
As a genji player I would bring him to C cuz without a combo like nano or dmg boost kiriko ult it most of the time won't do anything, it's countered pretty easy and if the enemy is getting healed u would have to use the whole ult to kill one guy if u can't make it to the supports
14:05 “it does a little bit of damage” my brother it does a flat 40% of every character’s health pool. you get the entire enemy team down to half health and give wallhacks to your team and can surpress abilities for a key moment that lets your team initiate. it’s absolutely an s tier ult, or at least a tier

40% of the current health isnt that huge. Lets say you have a full 200hp char, thats 80 hp. Meis ult does 100 dmg. There are many other ults who do more dmg.
The next thing is you are in 5 people while ulting, which can cause youre death pretty quickly and your ult is stunable. For the wallhack part, you have to get 5 people and than its still just a worse widow ult, tho unlike widow its way shorter and you cant use it across the map. Hanzo has a better wallhack as ability. The ability lockout is also only 1.5 sec.. If you dont get a pick in those, kiriko suzu, zen ult or beat make your ult useless. Most often the best way to use the ult is to solo ult a support or dps and go for the kill. Tho i feel like pulsebomb does that better.
Emp definitely can be strong, but its extremly situational and most often doesnt do much. There are so many more impactfull ult or saver ults, where you dont have to get in 5 people and hope to not get cc or oneshot while ulting. Riptire, blade, visior, etc. are just better
@@marweha7002 mei’s ult does 100 damage but it’s not done in an instant burst, and most of the time you can just walk away from it without a worry. yes, beat can counter emp if lucio uses it after sombra, but it works the other way around as well: sombra can counter beat with emp. also remember that, with that second and a half of ability lockout plus the extra cast time of lucio’s ult, there’s a very significant chance that at LEAST one teammate, and likely lucio himself, will die before he gets to use it against a semi-coordinated team.
you have to think of it from a team fight perspective. let’s come up with a random team comp: roadhog, sojourn, sombra, mercy, and lucio. let’s have both teams be the same for the sake of simplicity. the instant sombra pops her emp, she deals 600 damage to the enemy team, and now one team has a health pool of 1,500 to the other team’s 900 collective health. which team do you think is winning that fight? and think about if lucio uses beat: if sombra emp’s in response to lucio’s beat, she will deal a whopping 2,100 damage, INSTANTLY, with just the press of a button. that can all but negate lucio’s ultimate and completely turn a fight around.
id also say it’s much easier said than done to just cc or one-shot an ulting sombra, considering she can do it out of invisibility and has an instant get-out-of-jail-free card, or can instead teleport above your head while invisible and pop it (and you obviously cannot use cooldowns immediately after she ults). i honestly think emp is one of the best ults in the game, especially one of the best dps ults, and right now it’s sombra’s only saving grace, as she’s very weak otherwise. out of the ones you listed id say sombra’s ult is better than blade and visor, but might be worse than riptire

It doesnt remove shield health anymore and also doesnt remove overhealth. It removes 40% of the current health, which means you wont even get through half of a beat. Lets say you emp a ulting winston. You will do 40%, which is 400 hp and will leave monkey with 600hp. You also emp a hanzo on 100hp. He only uses 40hp.
You also have to consider people will probably know when you have emp ca. and wont play together, so it will be hard to hit 5 people. Even if you get a 5k emp, if you dont kill their supports in 1.5 sec. they will most likely suzu, immortality field, trans or beatdrop. As a mercy player myself it isnt that hard to valk before emp cast time is over and have that chain heals. There are also things like mei wall blocking youre team from clean up before they recover. When you tp in and the enemy sees it coming sleeping or hooking sombra isnt that hard. Just throw the ability at the translocator and get her, when she ports into you. You could also trans. Jist walking in the team can be hard, because sombra literally screams, did you miss me, when she comes out of invis lmao.
The point is emp can be good, but its so extremly situational really. Especiallly now where sombra is so weak it can be hard to take zen or lucio out before they ult. It just isn't a game winning ult anymore. Its not the worst, but it does actually very little most of the time. As a tip just use it to cancel other ults or solo ult a high value target. That are the best uses i would say rn
I think emp also depends on the rank. In lower elos people dont play spread out to avoid emp, dont react fadt enough to stop emp or kill sombra potentially and their aim isnt that great, so you can get good kills if you have better mechanics. The higher you go in elo the worse the ult will be tho
@@marweha7002 you bring up some good points, i might be overrating the ult a bit. i’m not a sombra expert after all, just a low diamond echo main who likes to copy sombra when i can, and it usually works out pretty well. so maybe i’ve just gotten lucky or i got noobs in my lobbies who play too clumped up in big fights
i would put zen ult low b since it can be used to counter some ults
12:00 Yeah, hanzos ult is practically useless. The only time in recent memory where I've seen it be a threat is a game where hanzo and zarya both used their ults together but I was playing Lucio so I could just ult and nobody would die, like even if you're stuck there you can't move.
PERSONALLY… i think dva and junkrat should be swapped on this list but excluding that, this is solid :)

I think you underrated Zenyatta. The insane clutch healing it provides is invaluable. I'd say it's comparable or slightly worse than Lucio's

Mei ult, yeah, the small sphere where every hero can get out: low C- tier, sometimes useful to force enemies outside of payload
Lists like these really need extra tiers -- S+, S, A+, A, B+, B, C+, C.
Orisa ultimate is A tier if you can combo it with mei, Hanzo, Pharah or Torb. Maybe a couple more. Does Ana's Nano boost the damage too? Does Kiriko Kitsune boost the damage charge rate? If you cant combo it its like C-D tier because its pretty ass due to it being so easy to get out of and doesnt charge fast enough.
I would say Echo is B depending on who is using it and who you have the option to transform into and your competency of that hero you do transform into.
Sym ult is high A-tier. If used right it can be incredibly strong.
Soldier ult is D-tier... Hear me out... Its D-tier only when I use it... Whenever I use it I get stunned/blocked off/Widow suddenly becomes good and hits her first shot of her life/hooked/rocked... So I either do zero damage or get stunned/killed after only being able to fire 2-3 shots
To me Sym is A tier not because of the quality of the ult bit the frequency, as a high diamond Sym main I can get a wall almost every single team fight to the point that its obnoxious and when used right on kart maps and push maps is almost guaranteed distance

When using shatter you have to try and make sure to get kiriko with it so she can't suzu
Until Suzu can no longer cleanse Earthshatter, Blizzard, and JQ's ult, those three are all effectively worthless. Bleed, Anti, Slow, Frozen, stunned, prone...all gone with the press of a cooldown ability.
I won’t argue that suzu being able to negate entire ults isn’t broken, but I’d also point out that you don’t have to just hope it’s on cooldown. You can try to force the suzu and watch for it to come out before ulting. So they’re not worthless, and suzu is really fucking strong, but it takes more effort to make them effective.
throwing blizzard at a kiriko with no tp, only for her to suzu the ground mid ult so nobody gets frozen despite them standing in the ult the whole time... feels good

to be fair you can shater without fear of it being clensed if you smash kiriko with their team and play the mind game like faking being pushed back and shatter them can still fail but works for me most times

Meanwhile, in lower tiers:
1) Pharah isn't getting picked out of the sky, so her ult is Reaper's, but better
2) Sombra using ult on 3/4 enemies guarantees a million times more value than widow who did the same thing except with no damage, no debuff, and can't land shots at lower elo anyways
3) Dva ult clears Orisa in every situation that isn't named Ilios Well ("run for your lives!" vs "I have 3 whole seconds to use any movement in the entire game...or just shoot her")

Today I learned that I've been right about the way I use Bap ult.
I’ve been thinking tracers ult was super weak for ages and I guess I’m not crazy after all. fade/wraith/roll/lamp Suzu on any teammate etc there’s too many abilities that just cancel it entirely even if you stick it and meta tanks both have huge damage reduction on short cd even if you try to stick them.
Tire shouldn't be S tier with so many people on hog/orisa but I'd definitely say high A
brig ult nowdays current moment is more a "emergency" survival ult on the sense of oh my co healer is dead well i pop up rally so i can give extra hp on top of my aoe heal while they come back sort of deals not an ult to pop up and go in cuz extra hp+regen is not the same as gaining armor specially on 1 shot meta unless you nano rally then you do go in deep still say is an underrated combo since nano brig can secure kills on squishy targets rathet easy so long you dont miss whip shot
They should buff zen ult so it can counter annihilation

Transcendence is visually connected to Annihilation, but Zen isn't damaged, therefore Annihilation runs out.
Yeah but the rest of the team is going to be damaged, so at best zens ult gives the team time to move away from Rammatra

even though pros make good use of him, out of all the tanks winston's ult feels the least impactful. most of the time i wish i could take the hp regen and cancel halfway through, aside from fights near ledges where you have the chance for a quick ko.

Doom getting empowered punch on landing is enough for C tier imo, it generally gets 1 pick as a result of the slow + empowered punch
Dva is low B or high C-it rarely ends up getting kills and its most important function seems to be giving Dva a 2nd life at this point
Orisa in A and a tier above Zarya is the most egregious to me though. It can finish off low mobility weakened enemies, but from full you can escape consistently as a squishy, which makes its main utility the pull/slow effect it has. Is that not basically just worse grav?

Zen's ult was fine in OW1. Now i don't even use to heal teammates because it's more valuable to shoot enemies and quickly eliminate the threat lmao. In trans my team loses 1 player.

I mean… yeah? It makes sense. JQ ult is hugely powerful unless kiriko has cleanse. An anti’d and bled opponent is basically a free kill and free healing for JQ if played correctly. Ball ult is pretty situational and is countered by like half of the other ults on the list. You have to be hugely careful with it or it just does nothing. This is coming from a ball main.
I think tire is A tier. It certainly has S tier potential but if only it wasn’t so hit or miss because if just one enemy sees it and marks it then it’s gonna die and get wasted

I think hanzo ult is B tier. You can get everyone off any objective to give your team an opening to move forward, it also does really good damage, allowing your team to have the potential to turn the fight around if used at the right moment and you can use it through anything, not needing to show yourself to the enemy. It also works really well with zarya ult. Although i rarely see that combo being used. But i definitely hard disagree with it being D tier.
I wish you could stop JQ ult like you can cancel reins charge
While it can’t be canceled mid dash, it can be canceled mid windup. Think Sombra hack, Mei freeze, Rein Shatter. If all timed correctly it can stop her before she actually uses the dash and gets value. Imo it’s probably better that it can’t be canceled mid dash because it is so fast that canceling it would feel too inconsistent and luck based.
@@295amin7 you misunderstood I think. I mean how when you're charging as rein you can cancel the ability yourself by pressing shift again, it would be cool to have that with JQ Ult
Oh XD idk how that would be on the queen as the dash is very fast and also it has a constant active hit box and canceling it early could remove all value as opposed to Rein who can just cancel it and not lose any value

Bastion ult is so goddamn useless. I really hope they change it or make it stronger because it’s easily one of the worst in the game. The only time it’s useful is to push people off point

Echo ult is without a doubt the worst ult in the game because it's not an ult it's a temporary character swap sometimes to an even worse character than her who has a good ult. Not only that once you use your ult charge you now have a chance to simply not get your ult because you have to survive and build it. Consider this: if I shouldn't copy a tank anymore cross em off the list. If most of the support Ults are kinda dookie cross them out. At that point why am I copying a DPS to have a chance at using their ult when I can just swap to that character and consistently get that ult over and over again. Her ult is also very difficult to combo because the timing is dynamic and unreliable. Don't get me wrong I play Echo all the time she might even be my favorite damage character but she basically doesn't have an ult. At best if you copy a higher HP character her ult is a temporary health boost.
L take (I also play Echo). You get to play as another character, *at full health with all your cooldowns and the ability to die twice*. That already makes it an ult that at least does something even if it’s not very good if that’s all you get. But then add in the ease with which you can farm an ult, sometimes multiple ults, while duped, and it’s quite strong-most high level players rank it among the best. Even ignoring DPS ults (and I fundamentally disagree with the position that you should just instead play those characters considering your ult may charge faster than theirs, and you may get multiple of their ult in quick succession), Rammatra, Kiriko, Ana (a very good dupe just by virtue of having immediate cooldowns even if you forget nano boost), and Bap are all powerful ults you can get a ton off of.

I like to play Brig and it annoys me all the time, that her ultimate is so bad. Junker Queen basically has a similar effect as a standard ability now. What I would like to see personally: Completely rework Mercy because she is a friggin heal bot. Remove her rezz and give it to Brig as an ult. Rezz as a standard ability is way too strong. Have played HotS a long time and there rezz was an ultimate for Auriel. Rezz can turn teamfights around. You pump all your damage into an Orisa and finally kill her only to see her 5s later again at the objective with full health.
Also what I don't like in OW2 at all: One-shot ults. No ult should one-shot tank with 100% health and shields. Happened to me last match on Sigma. Junk around the corner, ults, 1s later the tire hits me in the face. Dead. I was full health with shields because I was respawning just before. This is just stupid. Especially when you consider how weak other ults are in comparison.
Ram's ult is completely op. Total braindead ult. You use it at the right time on an objective and if the enemy cannot counter it by breaking LOS you basically control the objective with it.
