I would recommend Junkrat, in hopes to burst down the supports and push the tanks off the payload. It isn't quick but it can snowball quite well. Rammatra can also help with zoning.

Don’t worry, most of that is self healing and accidental healing from teammates standing too close to an enemy during coalescence.

Shts so annoying though, also ball. There are heroes I think should be disallowed from total mayhem. Winton can completely block healing, ball is nearly invincible without healing, and having no stuns in the game Moira is also invincible.
They should change up some other rules for total mayhem, give us some more stuns, let heals through Winton bubble, etc.

I’m your Moira!! That was such a fun match! 300k heals was epic ngl. I earned 1.5k XP at the end of the match. And this was on a night before my morning shift! I was extremely tired but it was worth it. This was my longest match ever since Overwatch was released!

So the timer resetting is most likely just integer overflow. Blizzard probably assumed nothing should go pass the hour mark in-game and didn’t put a lot of memory into the timer. 64 is exactly 6-bits of memory (2^6), so that’s why the timer reset. Can’t count pass 63 because it is restricted by memory size, so it goes to 0 instead of 64 minutes.

The interesting thing about this is that it implies the minutes and seconds are stored separately but not hours. This tracks with the UI: at 4:20 (nice) in the video we can see the match time displayed as 61:00 instead of 1:01:00. The weird part is the time is displayed as hh:mm:ss in the replay UI _and_ the replay cuts off at a completely different time (59:27). So the replay issues are probably a file size limit, completely separate from from the integer overflow of the match timer.
It's really funny to me that the replays have properly coded variables and UI for hour-plus games even though they can't be longer than an hour (based on this video), while the actual games can technically go for as long as the server is online for and uses a different, inadequate timer.
it might just be me but this doesnt make much sense. Assuming its c++ and assuming the time is stored in ms, how could an int be overflowed? if its 64 minutes in ms, it would be 3840000 which doesnt break any limits. Again could be me not knowing something but i dont see how it happens

protip: use sigma ult to lift people off the objective and end overtime in total mayhem (if overtime lasts for a while the sigma ult lifts them for long enough to end it)

Well track fortify…. Like only orisa can touch? Moira fade is short and you can play Mauga rn and don’t get flux with charge and you can go sombra and hack the sigma on flux

The craziest part is letting your pc sit and record the entire replay up until it crashes at 2x speed in Overwatch. My man sat there for over half an hour…
The angle was MOVING too so he had to personally watch it and adjust when the payload got out of frame..
When the strategy of the game is to make the other team lose their will to play, then *maybe* it’s gone too long.

@sunrise Paladins is a more fun game imo. I play more OW right now because more of my friends play it, but the customization in Paladins is far better and makes for more unique and different every time gameplay.

Removing stuns is what made total mayhem this broken

That plays a small part, but the real culprit is the 5v5 tanks. Role queue alone would instantly make total mayhem playable again, and nerfing all the tanks for total mayhem/open queue would make it fun again.
It was tolerable when Sombra's hack could disable the more broken characters, or Mei could freeze. Now there's nothing that can really stop some characters

In OW1, if you really wanted to end Total Mayhem, you'd go Sombra. It was like an unwritten rule to not go sombra unless the game's been going on for too long.
Now, if you want to end the game, you'd go Sigma and ult the enemy team off the point/cart.

Back when Zarya's bubble basically had 200% percent uptime, the game could last as long as the 2 Zarya on the point is alive. Or when one of them fell asleep irl or something

Somehow more chaotic than my last Total Mayhem match of OW1: enemy Genji just happily bouncing around for 45 minutes straight, repeatedly telling everyone Merry Christmas, and attacking every so often just so he wouldn't be kicked for inactivity. Eventually our Mei just repeatedly used her wall to get them both to some odd parts of the map where she could gleefully just do the snowman emote for Christmas Genji. I never wanted to hear holiday well wishes ever again by the time it was over. :)

This shows how carefully balanced the characters stats are in a normal match. They made it just right so that the rounds take about 10 mins to finish
I love how the only thing you can hear consistently is the ults and the rest sounds like spoons and forks being thrown around
It’s all fun and games until you have a zarya, moira, hog, ball and ana on both teams and the game lasts 3-4 hours
You just need the pre-nerfed Zarya. It was actually impossible to kill her. You may think that's an exaggeration, but I am being 100% serious when I say that she ate dragonstrikes and whole hogs combined for breakfast.
@@aguyontheinternet8436 Season 1 Total Mayhem was always down to whoever had Zarya, she could literally go 1v5 with no issue at all just spamming bubble, remaining on 100 charge disintegrating everything in sight

Sombra ult and Sigma ult deals health percent instead of straight damage, so combine that w/ nano and Ramattra to clean up for better pushes

Ive been on the lookout for a vid like this. It really feels impossible to kill people in this gamemode. I had an hour game of this and it only finished because too many people left and slots couldn’t be filled up in time

Junkrat traps are pretty good at getting enemies to stay still long enough to do a bunch of damage to them in Total Mayhem

Junkrat trap might’ve been useful. Everyone’s so close so someone’s bound to step in it. They could be focused down while in the trap.
They tried Junk but it didn’t do anything. His trap would occasionally get someone, but if it was a tank they had way too much health to die, and if it was a support my Kiriko cleanse saved them.
Junk’s ult did kill me a lot, as I was the only vulnerable one given my health pool (Moira could fade on a 1 sec cooldown so she’s invincible) and the tire itself was double health so it was hard to destroy, but it didn’t really do anything.
@@SINotFound Should have went ana kirko, roadhog, farm up ult and hit them with a 7500 base damage ult but realistically a 9,750 damage ult since kiriko ult makes you shoot 30% faster in the duration if the ult. Either they would have consistently been pushed off the payload allowing you to move it or you would have shredded all of them. 10 k damage in a few seconds is just too much to tank even with double abilities and health.

I once had a 9-8 Junkertown comp match. Not as long, but I think it destroys the spirit just as much.
At least we won, I would have uninstalled if I lost that.
I like how in the timelaps you can only hear

I remember playing total mayhem with my friend one time and the match lasted over an hour. At some point he left the match to go and eat but I stayed. When he came back I realized the match had not ended and he joined to spectate. The match ended when we were pushing the payload on the last point only to lost by being a couple meters away. The match probably lasted 2 hours and it was fun. Everyone by the end of the match we mainly different players and everyone said gg with no toxicity as everyone was just happy to be done with it.
I love how "molten core" is the only line you can make out throughout that entire fast forward

Total Mayhem is my favorite arcade game mode, and I have had games that have lasted for around 30 minutes. It takes forever and it is perpetually chaotic, which I love.

Total mayhem is my favorite arcade game mode. As a dva player, you actually could just get a sombra to emp bomb combo and it works most of the time. The sombra just has to time her emp perfectly since her hack wears off faster now.
I played a 45 minute round of total mayhem and I thought that was long. I can't imagine going through this hell
I once played a 45 minute TM match on Dorado in OW1 and I thought THAT was a record. This is insane.

I think the bug with the timer will have happened at 64 mins cause of an intiger overload limit, they wont have expected a game to last this long so theyll have coded it to store using a 7 bits for time

I had an hour and a half mayhem mode game where the payload was .1 away from the end, it was hilarious with all of the shields on the payload
Their sounds at the end of the game is like that one Rick and north scene where they cry after a mission from how bad it was.
I recently had a no limits match last an hour because everyone just stopped playing the game and just decided to hang out, we made a DVa tower, played soccer, and even played Pokemon. It was so funny I loved it 🤣🤣
At 7:30 you can hear Winston's shouts and roars sped up 😂😂 I'm dying

Actually there’s a few things that work like hammond chilling near the robot payload or point its so hard for him to die because of the cooldown of his shield or sigma using his ultimate to put them up away from the payload or robot until overtime is done
This is how I feel playing ranked for like 15 minutes it feels like it takes 12x as long to get through games
so this is what junker queen meant when she said she wanted to see more bloodshed
The timelapse is what goes on in my mind whenever I sit down to study for a test I really need to pass on :)
God that last bit, the 12x sped up full version is a rendering nightmare

@4:30 the time reset at 64, a multiple of 2^x. It's 2 to the power of 6, so ow is probably just holding 5 bits for storing the amount of mins spent in a game. That way it's able to store up to 63 mins (11111) and after min 64 is reached it will get back to 00000, which will result in a timer reset. Why it's 5 bits, I don't know (typically I would suggest a byte or so), but it should reset because of that

My favorite part of the timelapse is occasionally hearing certain ULT sounds that are just barely identifiable but you know which ones they are
I remember doing this on junkertown w mercy and I thought near the end that we were all gonna get hard counter but then our hog got them all off point u dont even have to kill the tanks just move em off point. Usually that happenes when dva on defense is the last tank because she'll freak out taking too much dmg and leave point. Mayhem is trickier too when theres a moira who wont leave the freaking point so junkrat is pretty helpful for that. Rotating around alot w moira realllllly helps. Ive also had a defense game at junkertown with 4 healers and a doomfist they never moved cart from spawn. LOL my absolute favorite mayhem game was defending at blizzard world as mercy I was in the sky 90% of the game and the enemy team tried everything to kill me and just couldnt capture the objective. I gave my queen moira the potg too. She was wearing that cute ivy skin im pretty sure that goes along w sugar plum fairy (which I have) im not sure (im new) I dont remember who stepped off point in that game and I dont even think they had a healer which was kinda sad on their part vs our moira/mercy duo
